I gave GameStop 1 star because, I know that a lot of kids under the age of 18 but and trade games all the time; and for them to require a California Identification is absurd!!! And I don’t respect that at all. Although, I feel like that get over on a lot of policy’s like when you buy a game for 59.99 and when you trade it you don’t get even half of that and this is supposed to be for kids!!!

I called about a gift card which they found for me and kept until my arrival. Workers were these 2 nice guys- friendly knowledgeable very much not pushy, made me comfortable and ignored my total lack of knowledge relayed to modern consols, games and handhelds. they helped me tremendously in increasing my knowledge of current electronic games, didnt push any thing at me, answered questions enthusiastically despite the heat and afternoon feeling of lethargic indifference settling down upon the rest of lower Oakland. ill be back to get more game stuff and maybe get Nintendo once price gets to a reasonable level...

Nice store with well organized games. But some of the price stickers were misleading, they did not match with the actual price of the game. I bought a Nintendo 3DS game for $20, while expecting it to be $17 because that was the sticker price. I disappointed that I had to pay $3 more but overall satisfied with the good condition game.

Great little hidden gem. Better than most GameStops Ive been to. Friendly folks and great selection. Planning to do my shopping for merch there from now on.

The main manager was very rude and condescending in the was that he spoke me during our interaction he also almost let me but the wrong PlayStation card when I told him I wanted to the plus and he let me grab a points card luckily someone stopped me. Ive talked to other people and theybhave also had bad experiences with this particular location specifically with the manager who just seems to want make it a hassle to purchase video games other then make sure his store is turning a profit.

Its GameStop, pretty typical, would be 5 stars but they had items on the wall that were not in stock and items without prices on them near the register and they workers didnt know they prices.

Guess what, Either stop harassing your customers and repeatedly questioning theyre buying choices, or be relegated to the dustbin of failed businesses. I can preorder a game online, and it delivers to me release day, faster and cheaper, with no tax, than what it costs at your store. Your business model is dead. The .10 youre charging for bags now? The nail in your coffin.

The service was great, the employees where pretty friendly and very helpful to me. great attitudes. always help me if help is needed. Overall a pretty good experience in my opinion. highly recommend this store, always my first choice.

Every game my brother brought to the counter for purchase this store did not have, then when they finally had one he wanted to buy they couldnt find my account in their system because my zip code was not entered..? Dont waste your time

Save yourself the trip and go to the GameStop in San Leandro.I can’t decide what’s worse, the manager who has an awful attitude and no knowledge of their ongoing deals, or the staff who claims the best video game is a racing game and offers no helpful insights on their products.If you’re going to work sales, please have a professional positive attitude.

God awful customer service from the dude wearing the knitted hat with the earrings through both ears. Not coming back if hes working.He had a line of people waiting while he was testing some dudes PS4 waiting to buy games, and he was like I gotta diagnose this guys PS4 while the rest of you can watch.Has no idea of customer service, and is rude besides. He couldve tested the PS4 when we had all bought our games on his own time, instead of making everyone wait with him. Total moron.

Traded in close to 100 PS3 games and they didnt even flinch. Super friendly team and fast helpful service. Totally worth a visit.

Its one of the only video game stores left. They do what they have to in order to stay alive, but dont expect great customer service or experiences.

The employees are very knowledgeable about their products. I have only ever not had my questions answered 2 or 3 times out of 100. They are also friendly and helpful. Understanding that game stop is trying to shift focys into the collectibles, apparel, AND game related stuff, they are serving us in a brouder sense now.

Rude cashier and didnt have the right device we ordered.

Service is super helpful here. I pre-ordered Splatoon 2 and needed to pick it up from a different Game Stop location and they helped me transfer it into a gift card so I can get the game at this spot instead. Ive never played that game before and told the guy that I was thinking of trading it for a PS4 game and he questioned why I want to do that. After explaining to me what Splatoon is all about and make me second guess myself, Im super glad he did. I love Splatoon 2!!!! Gotta trust your sales clerk at Game Stop!! Especially this one!
