I recently picked up some of the fresh gnocchi on a friends recommendation. I froze some using my food saver. Today I have cooked chicken gnocchi soup .. long slow cooking. Added the gnocchi at endβ¦ next time I will buy twice as much!! It was like eating little pillows of heaven ππ Taking me back to the early 80βs when I had first moved to San Francisco & eating in little Italy. Happy memories were some how cooked in my soup today π₯°π₯°
I was attracted to this place due to the ease of take out and the promise of fresh pasta. I wasnβt disappointed. Both my pasta dishes were amazing. My daughter is vegetarian and she was spoilt for choice. The service was prompt. The prices seemed a tad high but the quality and flavor was on point
I really dont like giving out 5 stars, since I think theres always room for improvement. Belotti is absolutelycan the best authentic Italian food around. Who would think to order spaghetti at a restaurant. If you dont, youd miss out on the best sauce ever. I can praise all the dishes here but Ive got to get back to eating. Yummy.
Authentic Italian experience. Best pasta in town.
During COVID19 lockdowns, were obviously forced into take out food. This was $50 not well spent. A small cup of tortellini for $20, Agnolotti for $16.25, $5 Tiramisu (which was about 4 tablespoons worth). Im not a huge eater and my wife and I were still starving at the end. Obviously, portion size isnt everything, but I really dont see where the hype comes from; taste didnt make up for small size. My pics are of the food unpacked from styrofoam containers...it wouldnt even be fair to show how sad this food looked there...
Make way for serious pasta eaters as my hubby correctly put it ;)This pasta shop is super small and cute with eat in and take out options! Theres a variety of different house-made pastas you can order to go (or get it delivered) along with their house-made sauces too :)Great place for solo eaters or couples as seating is limited - no good for large groups. No sit down tables but more of wall mounted shelves with high chairs kinda scene accommodating a total of 10 people. You order at the counter and prepay for the meal which comes very quickly. Between the two of us we shared:- Lasagne Bolognese $16.75- Tagliatelle Wild Boar Sugo $16.75- Tiramisu $5Both lasagne and tagliatelle dishes were amazing. Honestly, best pasta quality weve had so far in the Bay Area. Prices are bit high for Oakland but they do match the quality of the food. Sauces were like the homemade ones - light but tasty and flavorful. You could taste the meat and the intoxicating smell of the freshly grated grana padano or pecorino. We were in pasta heaven! Tiramisu was alright, have had better.I look forward to visiting their restaurant as well :) Highly recommend!
Everything is good! We have traveled extensively in Italy and feel like we are back in an excellent restaurant there. Highly recommended.
Stellar as always, they always find a new way to delight me each time I go with cascancelli, tiramisu, lasagna, or frankly just about any of their sauces.
Perfect for the times. The chefs at Belotti Bottega do all the work so you can put together an effortless luxury meal. Hand made pastas and sauces. Yummmm!
Covid got you down? Carbs made with love are here to make you feel better! The take out situation is easy and convenient. Do yourself a favor and make an order now!
Authentic Italian food with hand made pastas and sauces. I ordered the lasagna Bolognese, made to order and baked had beautiful flavors, soft cheeses and a flavorful sauce. It was very tasty. Im excited about going back to try another dish and some pizza.
Theres something to be said about fresh, homemade pasta. Tried the Agnolotti and Pappardelle. The food is packaged in small fold up boxes but the pasta itself is correctly proportioned which is a huge win for me. Theres just enough to satisfy your appetite and not too much to make you regret finishing it afterwards. Both are fantastic. You can really taste the pork inside the Agnolotti and the mushroom taste from the Pappardelle is other worldly. The pasta is soft and cooked just right. The shop itself is very small and is only suitable for pick up orders at the moment. The staff is friendly. The only issue I ran into was of my own making. After placing the order online, I neglected to note the address and ended up at their other location 5 minutes away which was unfortunate but something to keep in mind. Food was still warm despite eating it 30 minutes after it was ready for pickup which is a bonus.Belotti makes you feel like you are swept away taking a tour in Italy and is one of the best Italian restaurants Ive been to. Definitely worth the trip.
I saw someone write a 2 star review for bb, and couldnβt disagree more!!! My girlfriend and I just got done having a 45 minute long conversation about how perfect the texture of the filling is in the agnolotti.Iβve paid similar prices for pasta at other places in the east bay, so that should be no point of contention.Get the Agnolotti and a Burrata salad. Have your friend get the Papardelle and a watermelon salad. Itβll change your life, itβs honestly a blessing to this earth that these 4 dishes and this shop exist.
Great Italian food, I would recommend to check their menu and taste their amazing food π
Love this little pasta shop. I visit at least once a week for fresh pasta and great desserts. β€οΈ
Very good but very small appetizer portion of pasta. Pricey, $17 out the door. I knew it was small but not this small. Glad I tried it but if you like pasta as a meal, one portion wont work and two portions are way too expensive even for food this good. This is a pasta store where you carry out.
Great place to pick up fresh pasta and sauces
Delicious fresh pasta and sauces made daily. I purchased around 3lbs of pasta, 4 varieties (some vegan, some with meat). All very good.
The fresh gnocchi was delicious! Pretty expensive, but folks gotta make a living.
The food is incredible and the people are even better. Love it!
Their pasta is amazing, and unlike their restaurant location on College, the Bottega has lasagna!! Most people do takeout, but you can also dine in (they have about ten stool seats).
Five stars.
The best pasta in the east bay by far!
Belottis location in Rockridge is so fantastic that, all too often, its difficult to get in. If you just want to indulge in the food, though, you have an option: This, the Belotti pasta shop. Here, you can order many of the same pasta dishes, as well as order pasta to take home with you. Dont worry about the price or the portion size--yes, you can buy more pasta for your money elsewhere, but the versions made by Belotti are so rich, lush, and cheese-filled, I honestly dont know how anyone could be left unsatisfied. And really, if you are actually still hungry? Theres tiramisu, just sitting there in the case, staring at you, absolutely daring you to buy it and eat it. One tip: considering how rich most of the pasta dishes are, I recommend ordering a tart beverage to drink with it and help cut the fat. My preference is a Lurisia chinotto, but there are a variety of citrus related beverages on hand. Oh, and make sure you get a little bread. Youll need it to wipe up the last bit of sauce from the bowl, causing the owners nona, in whatever heaven she is now in, to smile down on you in benediction.
To go pasta and sauces from the excellent folks who have a restaurant in Rickridge. Quality is great.
Delicious selection of fresh pasta and hand crafted sauces. Encompassing more of the rich tastes of Italy that we across the pond dont get exposed to!Grazie mille!!
Belotti is hands down the best pasta in the Bay Area. Iβm sooo happy they opened this little take out place in Piedmont Ave!
Delicious fresh made pasta and very tasty hot meals.
Another great Italian spot on Piedmont, I recommend everything!
