My boyfriend and his family have been going to Harry for years, so he was recommended to me recently once I had moved to Ocala. I had already heard good things about Harry, but he really went above and beyond my expectations. He gave me a free quote on my car (and gave me a quote that was very reasonable for what he was doing, according to my father who also works with cars), but once he began repairs, there ended up being some other issues and parts that needed to be replaced (due to no fault of Harrys. My car is a 2005 Kia Rio and has quite a few issues). Harry was extremely professional in keeping me updated with thorough explanations of what was going on with my car in a way I would understand as a person who doesnt know much about how cars work. He kept me updated on everything that needed to be done before I could drive the car safely, how the estimated repair time may change, and what parts were needed as well as approximate cost. Despite a 1 day job turning into a 3 day job for him due to complications and needing to order parts, as well as a lot of additional costs in parts coming up, Harry really went out of his way and gave me some major discounts in labor cost just to make sure the final cost of the job was still close to what he estimated it would be. The job only ended up being about $100 over what he had estimated, and he ended up saving me somewhere between $300-$400. My car has been running better than it ever has since. Harry is a very genuine and trustworthy mechanic who will go out of his way to get you the best deal he possibly can. For anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic, I could not recommend him more highly. I would give him 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

This shop is also one of few that will install customer ordered parts which many shops refuse to do. The time and dedication that was spent to properly diagnose my vehicles issue was highly valuable and was included as part of the overall repair. You can expect this shop to give you the honest opinion even if it is not as profitable to them. That quality is rare. My vehicle was repaired on time, within budget, and well cared for along the way. This will be my Euro shop of choice for all maintenance and repair at an affordable price.

Harry at Metrix Auto will be the only person I use for all my mechanical needs. I called him about my stranded BMW and he initially identified it as sounding like my fuel pump was bad. He put me in contact with a tow service and they got the vehicle to him the same day. Now keep in mind the shop was closed that day but he went out of his way to assist me over the phone and stayed in contact with me. The next day he called and said that it was indeed the fuel pump and that he could have it ready the following day after overnighting the part. This man is super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, professional, and honest. No over pricing, no gouging. Amazingly fast, quality work. If you take your vehicle anywhere else for service you are crazy. Seriously, I dont know how he has not ran everyone else out of business!

Over the weekend the starter-motor on my 2011 3-series BMW died. I am new to the Ocala area and havent worked with any mechanics here so I started researching and came across Metrix Auto. The reviews were all very positive and it sounded like they really know their way around a German engine so I gave them a call and spoke with the owner, Harry. He was very friendly and professional. The process of replacing the starter on my particular car is, unfortunately, much more complicated than with most vehicles because of where it is located, requiring the removal of a lot of engine components to get to. Harry immediately knew and described the whole process to me and discussed what would be involved. I took that as a very good sign! I got my car to him that Monday and he gave me a call after lunch the next day telling me my car was done and I could come pick it up! When I got there he showed me all of the parts he had removed as well as the packaging from the new OEM replacement parts he had installed. He even showed me the old oil and air filters he replaced. He took took pictures of the entire process and walked me through everything he had done and answered all my questions. I couldnt be happier with the experience. He gave me a two-year warrantee on the parts and work he did, he told me that if it was ever acting up to bring it in and he would happily take a look for free, he said that if I was ever going on a road trip to bring it by and he would give it a once-over and top off all the fluids, again for free. I couldnt be more impressed with the professionalism, customer service, turnaround time, and pricing. In an age of corporate everything, it is really nice to find a smart, honest, and trustworthy mechanic to work with. He could have really gouged me with the cost but it was very fair and reasonable. I will definitely be using Metrix Auto for all of my auto work from here on out and cant recommend them highly enough.
