I was running late to get there by 6 pm closing time. I called and asked if someone could wait for me as I was 3 minutes running late. They said no they are out the door at 6. If I was the owner of the company I would fire all of them for that attitude. I ended up arriving at 602 pm and sure enough they were all closed up and lights out. Someone was sitting in their car in the parking lot with the engine running. I assume it it was one of the employees that was in such a hurry to leave at 6pm because they had an important place to go to. I am glad I didn’t buy my flooring for 5 houses there because customer service probably would have sucked because they could care less about serving customers.

When dealing with this company be sure all communications and contracts are in writing. No verbal agreements. Put in an email or text but make sure you document every conversation. Count every stick of lumber. Do not trust your rep to be honest in there dealings. The company is only concerned about there bottom line.

Great customer service! Darcy was super helpful to get everything lined up and Josh was courteous and professional when he came out to do the work. Everything looks as good as new and it was done in a timely manner. I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for home repairs, for sure.

We have not dealt with them as a normal customer but we ran into a situation today needing the assistance of a fork lift to move some product on our trailer. Our driver was near their location and they gladly assisted with moving the product and getting the driver back on the road. We are very appreciative of their willingness to help and assist us and our driver.

Ordered a large amount of lumber for my barn. When it got delivered and I looked it over 2/3 of the order was the worst wood I have ever seen. Impossible to use. When I told the delivery guy this he called his boss and told me he would take it back but I would have to leave my job site go to their store and hand pick out my lumber all 300 pieces and then bring it back myself . So why did I pay for delivery ??? Makes me want to find a better lumber yard 😡!!!

I wish there was an option for NEGATIVE 1 million stars!!!! We are contractors in Ocala. We have loyally used Romac Lumber for ten years. This year we have been building our own personal home. I wouldn’t have the space to list the numerous and major mistakes they made throughout our entire project. Door orders placed but then mysteriously cancelled, wrong materials delivered, damaged materials delivered and these mistakes cost us money and time to the point of not being able to get our CO after our rental lease was up. Now we are “homeless” because Romac is incapable of delivering a simple interior door in a timely manner. They never try to rectify their mistakes, compensate for them, rush orders, or even apologize. It is the worst customer experience we have ever had. While all of that was happening they also screwed up orders on one of our paying jobs so often and badly that the homeowner fired us because they said we have horrible suppliers. Again major money lost and no apologies or compensation by Romac. Please anyone who reads this review look to another lumber company for your supplies. Romac should not even be allowed to be in business. You will forever regret getting involved with this company.

After trying to get a special order product from a local vendor in Gainesville where I had previously gotten the same product I called Romac of Ocala. I spoke to David who called back within an hour to confirm product and availability. The material arrived on time and I am very pleased with the quality and customer service that I received!
