Great tea, great atmosphere, and great people.I thought I was getting a drink and getting on my way, but I locked my keys in my car in the parking lot. The staff, the regulars, and one of the owners were all at hand, helping me get my car unlocked. Muddy Lotus turned a normally frustrating situation into a pleasant experience in which I met a bunch of kind people. The drinks are awesome too. Highly recommend!

A last minute trip to Ocala lead us to discover this place when walking around the downtown area. Having tried Kava and Kratom before, I expected similar stuff from back home. Boy I was wrong. The moment you step in, the atmosphere and service is unique and amazing. Homemade flavours are available, and served ON TAP. Definitely will be visiting again soon.

I highly recommend coming to this place because the atmosphere is absolutely amazing, the events are great and you can not forget the drinks. Both Dillion and Kaitlyn are the best Kava bartenders i could ask for especially since they know right away what I like to drink. The games and events are pretty cool. Also, the people and environment here are great, i remember the first time I came here I was absolutely nervous and scared to be myself because I have such bad social anxiety and I slowly gradually opened up because a certain amazing person named Bear welcomed me, I feel safe and protected in this new place I call my second home and family! Come out to Muddy Lotus and enjoy their fascinating drinks!

What a hidden gem! My husband and I are very familiar with the FL kava community and Muddy Lotus has something special. Their drink offerings are very creative and plentiful. Bartenders are kind and gave us samples of anything we were curious about. We had the pleasure of talking with the alchemist who actually makes the drinks and it is obvious a lot of care and testing goes into the recipes. Environment is nice and they do themed nights. The one thing that I would change is that because of the bar setup and lack of physical menu, it is difficult to determine how much a drink costs and as a result, I ended up spending a little more than I intended to, but if Im ever in the area Ill absolutely be back!

The atmosphere is relaxing and fun, it is a great place to chill after a stressful day. The art is very cool, there are board games or pool, and many comfy places to sit, converse, or just enjoy the relaxing beverages. While it can be hard for a tight budget, it is a place worth chilling at.

The employees are great. The crowd is great. The owner, not so much. If you want your love life and extracurricular activities dictated outside of work, go work for this woman. She she will have no problem telling you who you cant date or support on your own time. Want to buy a drink? Get one! The products are fantastic and great quality! Want to see the Fire Spinners on Saturdays? The performers are extremely talented and put on a great show! They are ingenuinely appreciated and donate their time for free. Sonya and Kibby (the owners) are masters of the Kava Kraft. Each drink and brew they make carry a unique quality to them.Dillon, the head kavatender, is such a welcoming soul who is always there to listen and cater your drinks to your needs/wants.The art all over the walls indoors provides a feeling of being in the most interesting museum. The fire pit and canopied area outdoors makes for a great place to meet new people in this community.It’s a great place to go and grab a drink and unwind without the need for alcohol.

I just visited this place for the first time and I cannot describe how good a time I had. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the patrons I met were equally amicable. Great place for sober people to mingle. The atmosphere has a tranquil yet entertaining vibe. They have several comfortable couches and chairs on which you can sit back and relax and theres always events like karaoke and open mic to liven things up. Ill definitely be going there regularly from now on.

This place is one of my favorite tea shops of all time. Ive recently ventured into Kratom and Kava, and this place is awesome! Kibbie and Sonya make you feel like family, and always take care of you. If you are ever in Ocala you HAVE to stop by! Its a type of atmosphere youll have to experience in person, and youll leave feeling better and happier than when you walked in. The patrons that frequently Muddy are very nice as well, and Ive made some life long friends because of this wonderful place.

Muddy Lotus Tea is truly a gift for those of us in Ocala who do not like alcohol bars, yet want to experience nightlife. It’s also a gift for those of us who work remotely and want a change of scenery during the work day. I love to come here, day or night. It’s beautiful to watch everyone being welcomed inside with a cheer of “HEY! WELCOME!” from staff and customers alike. It feels like a home away from home because they are such a family-style business. I appreciate how knowledgeable the staff is and how accommodating they are for food allergies. The staff continually shocks me with their above-and-beyond service. This week had a perfect example of that: a friend’s car was having issues, so the manager crawled under the car to find the issue and helped fix it so my friend could get home safely. That doesn’t happen at other bars... The owners are also so kind and have supported the local community, including all types of artists and other businesses. I competed in their Drop The Mic singing competition and won, but it didn’t stop there: I continue to receive kindness and support from the Muddy Lotus Tea team and patrons in my singing journey. I love to sing karaoke there on Thursdays and dance with flow artists on Saturdays. I am so thankful this place exists. BULA!

I stopped in to get a drink that was usually 8 dollars, it was now 16 dollars but I got it anyway because i liked the place alot. Then the owner came out and insisted that my friend that Im showing the place while i drink my drink, buy something or leave, so i finished my drink and left. Very unwelcoming, will not be back.

Im from West Palm Beach where there is practically a kava bar every few blocks. I have visited kava bars all over the USA, from coast to coast. I was welcomed at the door and was instantly relaxed by the ambience. The staff were pleasant and very knowledgeable of what they had to offer. It was a little pricey but well worth it. I dont usually write reviews but after visiting this place, I want everyone to know that you all are missing out. If youre thinking about going then go. You wont regret it. I will definitely be back.

I went here tonight and I wasnt sure because I knew it would be definitely out of my element of what Im used to. The staff made it so comfortable and explained everything! We got 4 different drinks and all four were wonderful! They have a game room with a huge jenga game out of wood, cornhole, and quite a few board games. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The owner was so passionate about everything they offered. I will definitely be back!

Ocala needed a place like this; Sundays 2 pm Yoga class is a great way to start the week, Saturdays flow arts night is an absolute visual treat!I enjoy bringing my sketch pad and drinking something warm, the enigmatic environment is welcoming and I love every visit. As an artist, the aesthetic alone is enthralling. Grand murals and art encompassing the entire building, attentative kava tenders to answer all questions. My best suggestion, is to check it out for yourself.
