These guys did a great job with my truck, got rear-ended in Montauk and they were able to take care of everything right away and deal with the adjuster and car rental no problem. I was able to leave the car rental at the shop and just take my car which was really convenient and nice. Detail on the car looks great, they were able to take out dents and damage no problem, looks brand new!

Anthony and Dominic were absolutely phenomenal. I came to them after getting in a car accident after having my car for only three weeks. They treated me with the upmost respect and professionalism. I nit picked everything about my car and everything I didn’t like they went back and corrected for free in a timely manner an orderly fashion. I cannot express how much I recommend the shop to anyone who drives any car especially high-end cars. Their customer service was world-class I might venture to say it was the best customer service I’ve ever had they treated me like family and took care of every ridiculous small request I had. We ran into a situation where we needed to transport large heavy things, Mr. Brian Crowder was off from work but saw us in this struggle and didn’t hesitate to bring a flatbed to help us through our complication. I brought my son’s 10 year old Honda CRV to have some dents and scratches attended to. I have been in the car business myself for 40 years, and I’ve never been so satisfied with the work as I was at North Star. My son is a fireman and college Student, and car care is a low priority for him, but I have to say that when he picked up his car I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work, as well as that they went above and beyond the scope of the repair by fully detailing the car inside and out. This car has not looked this good since my parents bought it new 10 years ago. We live in Plainview and when he asked me to pick him up when he dropped it off, I said “ Why would you go all the way to Oceanside for bodywork?” He said the shop was highly recommended by his friend and he trusted him. Now I see why. I’ve never felt the need to post a compliment for a body shop, but these guys really earned it! Would (and will) recommend them to anyone looking for a fair price with professional results and they are truly “a customer service “ worth writing about.

Had a great experience with everyone at North Star Auto Body! Stopped by the shop and Dominic took a look at my tailgate that I banged up. He determined the parts he needed to order and took my tailgate off so I could retain my truck and keep driving around without the need for a rental. (Although they generously offered to arrange one for me.) Only a 3 day turnover and my truck looked brand new with absolutely no hassle! Can’t thank Anthony Capone and all the staff at North Star Auto Body enough!

I had the unfortunate experience of coming out of Home Depot to see my care side swiped. I’ve use a few other body shops before and every time it was a horrible experience. Between things not being done correctly to no response on the status of the car so i asked around and North Star came highly recommended by many people in the fire service. Anthony was super friendly and made the experience very easy. Despite statefarm taking their time to get the claim taken care of Anthony’s team repaired my car very quickly and did an amazing job. I was honestly surprised how well it turned out and I was extremely happy with everything from North Star. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I dont know where to begin. The service provided here exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, the staff was nothing short of outgoing and helpful. Made the claim process painless, provided me with a rental vehicle on site and made my car look brand new, better looking than the day I had purchased it actually. Its obvious that the staff is experienced. I have nothing negative to say about Northstar. The same cannot be said about my previous experiences at other auto body shops. Just walking in the front door to the office, you know that youve brought your vehicle to the right place. The friendliest staff, a very well put together office and a top of the line facility. The owner is a stand up guy, who is very community oriented and dedicated to his customers. I referred someone recently, while my car was in the shop, and will continue to do so. I called asking about cracked wheel repair and the woman on the phone politely told me that they do, and that they can look at my car today. I arrived within 10 minutes of calling. When I arrived, I asked if they can take my wheel off and replace it with my spare so they can repair my wheel. The gentleman told me that I would have to take the wheel off myself, as they cant have someone come out to do it for me, or leave the car with them over the weekend. If I come back for headlight repair I hope I would not have to remove it myself first as well.I have not received service from this company so I wont rate it 1 star, but if theres any shining light its the wonderful phone receptionist. I took my business to No Limit, right next door, and they were able to assist me immediately AND take my wheel off.

Dominick and the staff are always extremely accommodating and caring. Getting into an accident can be stressful enough and they truly make the whole experience very smooth. This is the place to go when your car needs some fixing!

I’ve had the opportunity of using the experience and expertise of this body shop twice. Both times I have been 100% satisfied with the work done on the cars repaired. The expertise is incredible because the cars were returned as if they were coming out of the dealerships’ showroom. The office staff is knowledgeable, experienced, courteous, attentive and polite. The office has a wet bar with several types of libations for you to enjoy while there. The repair technicians are just as experienced, attentive and knowledgeable. I brought my car in October 2017, after a guy in a Maserati slammed into my car - and the service was excellent. Anthony Capone and his staff explained the entire process to me regarding the diagnostics of all the damages to my car after an accident, my rights as a customer, and were extremely serviceable when providing me with a rental car. The staff also made themselves available each time I called for an update, they also called me back with updates, as well as allowed me to come in when the insurance adjuster showed up to assess damages and payment amounts. I was able to go into the shop and see my car in pieces and Anthony took his time to explain each of the areas where there was damage, and showed me in detail, along with the insurance adjuster. At the end of the process when I came to pick up my vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my car looked better than when I took it off the showroom floor. The paint job was incredibly flawless, the interior had been detailed nicely and the car smelled new. The men in the shop were nice enough to transfer every single thing into my car from the rental vehicle, including my childs car seat and everything from my trunk. I truly didnt have to lift a finger and I could not be more thankful that everything was taken care of with zero hassle. The biggest joy was going into a facility that was brand new, clean, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and full of fresh coffee and goodies (that the staff brings to you while you sit comfortably). - I will continue to use North Star Auto Body for all of my repair and maintenance needs, and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Hands down.

Anthony and Dom are the best. Not to long ago a guy stop short in front of my wife in a parking lot as she was going to a parking lot in front of her. Unfortunately cause a fender bender. Thankfully she was ok as to the other guy. Anthony happened to be in the area and saw the guy berating my wife. Certainly calm down when the cops came and especially when I showed up. Northstar are NO JOKE. The fixed not only the damage but a road rage incident that we got rammed on the left side of the car. Mystery parking lot scratches cause we know fellow New Yorkers are honest. Fixed and replaced. Did an oil change. Detailed the car. Paint redo, took car of more then half my rental because my insurance stiffed me because they didnt listen to me only months before to add to plan. And it gets better, they even took car a the scratch the rental got in the parking lot. Another mystery. It seems like these younger people dont care. The car was waxed and shining better then then when we got it. The color looked deeper but its the same color. Its unreal how good it looked. DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Waste of time. Do yourself a favor, make sure you have rental on your plan for accident. spare the extra 7 to 10 bucks. The rental for us would have been 975 and literally lost my job the same day we were picking up my car. These people assured me a million times. I guess because of the stereotype that body shops have. North Star is not that. They will be like family to you that you never had. I wanted to hug Anthony and Dom because given the moment I was having, it was touching for me and my wife. You wont regret North Star. Bank on that.

North Star repaired both of my vehicles after being involved in vehicle accidents. One repair was from September 2015 and the latest repair work was June 2016. They offer free towing service; assisting with rental vehicles & insurance companies; and the flawless repair work. With North Stars customer service, they actually make repairing your vehicle, less stressful. Anthony (owner) is true professional, very knowledgeable and just an all around cool guy. His office staff is great to deal with. If you need repair work, give North Star a call, you will not regret it.

I had the most amazing experience with these wonderful people, particularly Shannon and Dominick, who were both so kind and helpful. I was in an accident and was very shaken up. I didnt know the protocol and was extremely worried. They took the time to explain everything to me and make me feel comfortable, especially right after my accident when they assisted me in getting my car to their shop and starting the process. Hands down the only body shop you should go to. Period. They take care of everything for you and your car comes out like it was just off the showroom floor. They are always there to answer your questions and help you with whatever you need. We even stopped there cause my husband closed his trunk over a leather strap and we tried for hours to get it open. Nothing worked. We drove all the way from Suffolk county to them and within 10 mins it was opened. Anazing

My keys got locked in my car with my child in it on the second hottest day this year. Extremely scared and shaken up praying my child was ok in tears I did not know what to do. Suddenly a softspoken gentleman appeared told me not to worry and had my car unlocked in under 30 seconds with a tool they use. No big enough tip would express my gratitude to Anthony. When another driver had hit my car while parked i was referred to North Star Auto Body. I have never experience such incredible service from the moment i called them, to the moment i picked up my car. The owner (Anthony Capone) went above and beyond for me. He immediately set up a rental car for me and took care of everything. Then when I pick up my car, he presents it to me not only flawlessly fixed, but as well as detailed inside and out. It felt as if i was driving it off the lot again almost three years ago. I could not be more happy and if i could give more then 5 stars i would. I will recommend to anyone with any problem with their car. Absolutely incredible service.

Job done great, I would of rate 5 starts,but no customer services,took 5+months to fix my car. Picked up my car today,found out my driver seat has no power....and now I need more time to inspect my car,to see what more they missed out to be fix ...purposely.This is just my experience.

I went to Northstar almost a year ago so Im really late on writing a review. It haunts me til this day because my grill (that they replaced) has a piece sticking out and it drives me nuts. The owner did say to stop in and hed reinsert the grill since it seems they missed a hinge. The thought of stopping back at this shop is depressing, so I deal with it. Back to my experience: I stopped at Northstar after I had my car detailed, figured Id get a quote on replacing my cracked grill (barely noticeable) and also a touch up on my lower bumper since it had curb damage. The owner explained I could put a claim in and not worry about it. I took his advice and left my car. After an insurance notification of a quote being ready, I took a look and was appalled. I went back to the shop to dispute my estimate and asked why he was replacing my hood and claiming to put new lights when he wasnt (among other things), he explained in order to have a smooth paint job they had to replace it. At that time the hood was already on my car and I was tired so I left it alone. (Please note- this is a 08 Mercedes. Now my car is highly devalued and when taken to Mercedes, they said the hood was not the appropriate distance all around). They held the car another week or 2, when I called they said they had to detail it so it was taking longer. I received my car and the inside was clean, which was expected, I detailed it before I gave it to them, I headed right to the gas station and as I stood there pumping gas, I wiped my finger on my car and started writing my name in the dust, Detailed?! not! Also, my bumper was apparently replaced but a few weeks later it snowed and after getting out of a parking space (4matic benz), the bumper cracked in the same exact area that was damaged, Replaced?! or sand then finished?! I made the mistake of trusting these people, Dont do the same.
