Adrian came out and was the best tech I could have asked for. He didn’t just try to sell me on something that I might not have needed which is what everyone should look for in a garage door contractor—he made sure we troubleshot the garage door and he knew exactly how to fix it and didn’t leave until I was completely satisfied. I will definitely be calling Adrian when I want to replace my operator/motor as he is a nice, honest guy and knowledgeable about his trade!

I locked myself out of the garage, with no other access but the garage door itself and the house didnt come with keys. I called GDI Garage Doors and had a technician here quickly. Mandre was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He got the door open and replaced the lock under 30 minutes time, helped me (successfully) change the code for my keypad, and demonstrated how to use my keys and reset in case I lock myself out in the future. The price was reasonable. If I needed anything concerning my garage doors again, I will definitely call them.

The Google Map location for this business indicates Oceanside. My service call was in Costa Mesa.I called at 8:30am as I was having garage door issues while leaving for work. The team was there within 60 minutes and provided me a quote within 15 minutes. They had everything with them on their truck to complete the job. They provided an estimate of time for completion and finished the job within that time. The two man team was friendly and knowledgeable while providing adequate explanations for the repair issues and the job at hand. Overall, it was a great experience at a fair price.

GDI/F&M did a great job! Jason came over promptly and a few hours earlier than the originally estimated window of 2-5pm.He was courteous, professional, patient and informative. I used this company for my garage install and another tune up a year ago. I will continue to use their services as they are consistently great...and local!

Unfortunately this company was not reasonable and took advantage of a situation. I would not trust them and I wont be calling them again. The technician that arrived at my house was very nice, but he charged me $120 for a $40 part, and another $100 in labor for 10 minutes of installation. I dont consider a 150% mark up reasonable and I feel scammed. I wont make the same mistake twice and will look elsewhere.

On the day of the installation the technician showed up on time ready to work. After the garage door was installed the technician had trouble programming my remotes. He asked if I could call and ask the company to schedule another technician to look into the issue. I called and scheduled the tech and no one showed up. I called the company and they said that they left a message and unfortunately they werent going to make it. So I scheduled another appointment. Now here comes the next appointment and no one shows up. I call back and they say sorry, unfortunately, we cant make it. Now I have to schedule a 3rd appointment. This is very unprofessional! Once they get you money dont expect them to show up after if youre having issues! Good Luck!!!!!Update 4 months later.My experience with this company has been such a pain! This company is unprofessional.Upon installation of my garage door, I gave the installer a check in the full amount. After about a month we called them asking why they havent cashed the check. They said they werent sure and they will look into it and call us back.They finally call me 3 months later saying the guy that installed the door quit and took the check with him. They asked if he has cashed the check. They then send someone back to my house that is asking why we havent paid them. He made it seem like I was at fault and was trying to avoid paying for the door.My experience with this company has been the worst. I dont know how they are still in business

Chris came over to our house to fix our garage door that was not opening and closing using the motor. So he helped us attach the emergency handle back to the little motor in order for the door to open or close. He was very patient in teaching how to place it back for any future issues. He was great and the service was excellent.

I know great customer service when I experience it. I just bought my condo in Foothill Ranch. The garage door opener’s stopped working. The first technician was great, nice guy and grave me a great price for the service call and two new remotes. Not more then a month later they just stopped working. Tony comes out this evening. On time a little after 5:00 pm. No, he came early, because dispatch gives a two hour window. Super polite and curious to neighbors. He needed him to move his truck so she could drive off in a hurry. He even tried to give directions to someone looking for a building number. Then, jumped right in the program my remotes. 123 Done. I handed him my credit card and he said no charge. I said, are you sure? Well, I run Pristine Plumbing and understand customer service. The CSR was polite and should empathy, booked the appointment with the 2 hour window, knew my name and address, with the history of service. I loved it. Keep up the good work!!!

While this project got off to a late start (the arrival time given by the estimator vs the time assigned by the scheduler who never notified to customer w/ the actual time); the ultimate completion of the installation is perfect. Elder was the technician who did the entire project by himself. His attention to detail, willingness to explain the workings of the door, and his professionalism, make this company one I would highly recommend. I called this company earlier this week to have my door inspected because I saw all these great reviews and I am a big believer on reviews. I just have to start off by saying wow what an excellent company very professional. The Dispatch service was phenomenal and they had a technician out very quickly. His name is Cody and was very knowledgeable and able to answer every question I had regarding my door. At this moment all I needed was a tuneup to keep my door in great working condition but I will be calling them if I have any problems in the future.

Bert found the broken gear issue, other company before him did not. He further explained this other company from last Nov who came by earlier today only put in one spring not two..And showed me how to oil hinges and help if old company wont fix the issue with one spring to call him for assist. GDI is the best, he spoke highly of the company. I PRAISE GDI the Best!

Were really happy with Cody, the individual who came out to service our door. They did mix up a date and didnt show, and things happen so its okay. Overall, customer service over the phone has been good, but a few times they seemed annoyed with my call. Would I recommend them? Yes.

I was walking my dog and a nice young gentleman by the name of Cody was working at my neighbors house. I got his business card and gave them a call because I had an issue with my door opening. To my surprise they were able to come out the same day I called! Wow what a wonderful company and such nice people I will definitely be recommending GDI again!

Great service! Fast response. Arrived on time to take a look at our unit and then gave good recommendations for the solution: 20 yr old mechanism needed replacing. They replaced the whole thing and were finished in about an hour. Physically distanced, respectful of space, and safe 😷 would recommend to friends and family.

I recently had an issue with my garage door and called GDI who was prompt to give me a same day appointment. The guy came and pulled on the handle, it took no more than 2 seconds to “fix” the issue. Unbeknownst to me, it wasn’t an issue at all and the guy explained to me that this is a default setting that all garage doors have and I just had to pull the rope handle a certain way. He ended up charging me almost $100. What really bothered me is that there was no issue with my garage door at all, and I really wish the guy on the phone gave me a pointer or two like “did you try to pull the rope handle this way”. I feel really ripped off, something that could have easily been guided on the phone turned into $100 fee for a 2second fix I could have done myself. This experience didn’t make me feel like this was a company built off integrity. I won’t be using them for any of my garage door needs in the future.

They were very prompt to come and check out why my garage door clicker did not work. The guys was very nice. However, he stated that the motor for the reciever was busted and we would need a new one ($800 minimum). We were about to purchase but got a second opinion to be safe. The other company came, pressed a few buttons, and my clicker and garage door opener worked...NO PROBLEM. I couldnt believe it. Would highly recommend getting a second opinion if you use this place, since we almost got scammed 800 for something that was definitely not broken.

Had an issue where my garage clicker stopped working at night and then later wouldn’t work at all. The tech they sent was friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly identified the issue (age of motor was not comparable with a new “universal clicker” I’d purchased despite the brand specifically naming the type of motor I have) and got it up and running in no time. Also gave me a heads up on a few things I need maintenance on soon and pointed out and replaced a missing bolt that could have led to further issues. Overall very happy with the experience

I needed a garage door repair so I called this company based on their excellent reviews.Cody came out to my house and fix my issues.I am very happy with the service and will recommend Using this company.

Chose these guys to replace door openers. Guy showed up and seemed down and not happy almost felt bad for having him do the job.. Didnt have the rails needed to start the job.. 1 positive note he did go to shop to get them. Installation was sloppy and he tossed equipment around with little to no care.. Sale specifics wasnt properly relayed to tech and had to pull teeth to get what was promised and even then I didnt get what I was promised.. After technician left, keypad on Wall didnt work.. I found wire shorting out on bracket which I fixed.. They have a ton of disclaimers which you have to initial instead of making sure the job is done right and no problems. Over all experience was unpleasant and wouldnt recommend them... Price and schedule is why I gave them 2 stars, those were positives..

Chris our technician did an excellent job installing new springs. The next day I was unable to open the door and Chris returned. He explained in a very courteous and respectful manner that installing an operator would really make life easier on me and anyone else opening the door due to my back injury and age. It took convincing but I agreed. When my husband came home and said let me check out this new garage door opener . All he could say was wow its so quiet and quality work! Needless to say we are very happy with the service and the technician. I would highly recommend!

I purchased GDIs garage door many years ago, and have been happy with the product. However I recently scheduled appt to replace weatherstripping.It should have been quick and simple, yet turned into an extremely disappointing experience!It took 5 appts, 2 of which the tech was a no show and one he was very late and provided excuse why he couldnt do the job that day afterall.In the end, he did a poor job of installation (garage door would no longer fully close and more issues) and the work had to be completely redone after he left.I contacted the company, Anytime Garage Doors/ GDI, 4 times and was never permitted to speak to the person in charge, Michael.Also I never received a call back from the one person (Michael) who I was told was the owner of the company and was the technicians supervisor.I will NEVER use or recommend this unprofessional company again, and strongly urge you to hire a different company.

Unfortunately, the garage door opener doesn’t work properly. Sometimes a press of the button will open the door. Other times it doesn’t open at all. Most of the time it takes 4 or 5 pushes on the button to get it to work. Unsatisfied in Camarillo.

They were timely, friendly and quick. They charge in units of time but they are quite flexible. It did cost a bit more than quoted. However, the person who quoted us did not really have any business quoting any price. It cost more than twice the amount quoted but the equipment needed was definitively needed. Its always disconcerting to be quoted the wrong price especially when you get an estimate for your land lord and well he was NOT happy. I paid for it in good faith and should get paid. But just saying. If he does t pay me then that sucks.

They stood behind their product. About two months after installation, the doors cord to detach from the track for manual opening caught on a car door. Then the range was off. A GDI tech fixed it with no cost. I tied the cord so it wouldnt happen again. The reason why my review is not five stars is the tech was a little late. Also, I didnt get a manual when it was installed. I asked for one at this appointment but still didnt get one. The name of the unit is not in the motor box, so I cant easily Google it to do my own programming or minor adjustments (such as range adjustment). This makes me too dependent on GDI and has the potential to waste both my time and theirs.
