Since I have transferred to this university, this bookstore has the worst customer service. I have called many times during their open hours and I never get an answer. I have also gone in and still did not have good customer service. I have gone 2 weeks with classes and had NO BOOKS! This place is a joke!
I went in this morning to purchase 4 books for my science classes however i did not have enough money to purchase all of them. The girl at the cash register told me she will save them for me until the end of the day so i can come back and purchase them that day. i told her okay and that i will come back at 1 to purchase them. I came back at 12:30 and told another girl at the cash register that my books should be here from this morning and when she went to the girl that told me she would save them all day for me the girl said that thy are not there and that they had been put back. i had to go find my books again and one of my chemistry books was sold out which wouldnt have been a problem if she had just saved them like she told me she would. i had to pre-order the book online and was informed it will be in my hand by the end of next week, the issue is i need that book NOW and the girl did not keep her word on saving the books for me like she had originally suggested this morning. really disappointed.
They lie about their prices for buying back books. They will tell you that you should to wait until the end of the semester to try to resale your textbooks for a higher price, but that was just a lie. Dont trust or use this store unless you have absolutely have to.
It’s stressful dealing with this place. Staff is plain RUDE so I had to ask for a manager.I paid for two NEW books but what I received were USED RENTAL books with a huge rental sticker on them.The late return fees on the other books are OUTRAGEOUS. $200+?? Really?Do yourself a favor and order from Amazon. Books are WAYYY cheaper to rent/purchase. Graceful return dates as well.
Every question and concern has always been answered. Books always delivered on time. Great staff!
I have been ordering and receiving my textbooks from UTPB Bookstore since transferring to the campus! I had a lovely experience especially with Ms. Debbie and Ryan. Now, there is a girl named Sarah that is disgusting. She is super rude to customers. She answers the phone with an attitude, and is rude without being helpful in any way. I complained on her to her boss about the experience I had with her and was reassured that the issue would be addressed. I am now certain that it was addressed as I called to check on the status of my order, asked to speak to Ms. Debbie please, and was placed on hold for 26 minutes and 32 seconds before Debbie picked up the phone and asked if I was being helped. Love Debbie to pieces but wont order from the bookstore anymore until Sarah is OUT!

The bookstore was unable to supply my textbooks until the third week of class. Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else.

If you order your books before the semester starts. It takes for ever to get them. I got them after we already covered the material in class. They didnt want to give me a refund.
