Unfortunately I have to retract my first review. My family was always treated so kindly and respectful with an eager to help staff that made us want to come back. Im not sure what sudden shift in attitudes towards gamers with questions they had asked a few weeks ago and followed up with a you are not my concern and are inconvenient kind of response was unprofessional. My son who always looks forward to our trips to Patriot Games was left pretty downtrodden about the experience. All the Patriot Points weve built up, all the money spendt here..aint worth nothing now.

Went in to purchase 2 consoles and a few Games, and received Absolutely zero help. Guy working was probably in his mid thirties, so he wasnt a teenager on his first day. Guy acted like I walked into his house and was bothering him. Made this interaction EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE!! Guy answered me with nope, and yip and never looked up from his tablet. NEVER GOING BACK 😔

Great local feel, good selection of retro gaming, and the gentleman working was very personable. Definitely will have to revisit this place!

Engaging staff and people there gladly accepted us into their MTG playgroup. Theres some veteran players there and youll need to expect a challenge, but it was fun none-the-less. They also have tons of other stuff for your gaming needs; such as a wall full of games and several controllers.

Came here from out of town, always like to check out the local game shops. Super friendly and awesome stock, especially for old consoles that arent overpriced. Our daughter loved the visit since they let her play woth some of the cards and gave her quarters for one of the machines!! Would come back for sure

Ive been shopping here for years now and gotten tons of awesome stuff like snow Bros, panic restaurant,DuckTales 2, gotcha force,donkey Kong country, the legend of Zelda twilight princess GC and hundreds of other excellent games it doesnt matter how tall the order they can get it for an excellent price and betweenDave and Justin theyre walking game encyclopedias and you never know what is going to be in this store on any day of the week so if you want something specific you should check back daily also they have a excellent rewards system and the best black Friday sale and even though Im not a magic the gathering guy this is the best place for magic in Odessa because of the space and selection and they can do pre-order for new games too best game store in the Permian basin thanks for all the good times and looking forward to many more years of shopping here

This place is badass it has the retro games from the 90s as well as mtg cards and staff is chill there. I want to go back and challenge the locals for a few rounds of modern and commander when I get time

Locally veteran owned video game store that specializes in older equipment and games. The staff is always very nice, quite knowledgeable and ready to assist you with any questions or quest you may be on! While having an amazing selection of older titles, they also have a good selection of modern titles and equipment as well! On top of being a first rate video game store, they also sell anime, MTG and Yu-gi-oh cards as well as holding game nights on the weekends and periodically throughout the week.

New regular shop, absolutely stunning service, not a single issue, fast and to the point, they even fixed up my old N64

Best game store in West Texas. They always have what Im looking for, and the staff is always awesome. No corporate mumbo jumbo or Obama fans. Also, Ive spent a good amount of time talking with the owner, Dave, about conspiracy theories. Dave is good people (Dave is one person). Great prices, and theyll order whatever they dont have.

Thanks David for the expert help lately, this is the best place in town hands down. Whether you come to just visit or shop or hunt down a classic. David is like a pop culture encyclopedia. If you want it he can find it, for a great price and they check it and test it right in front of you before selling it. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

If I could give this place no stars I would! They dont even acknowledge customers when they walk in. Very rude and short when my sons asked for help.

Owner is a really awesome vet (gotta support our vets!!!) and his shop has a large variety of games, cards, and collector items. Its a fun place to shop, some employees arent as great as others - but owner is super knowledgeable, helpful, and easy to ask questions! Much better alternative than the brand name used game shops in town!

Patriot Games is our go to place for my sons gaming stuff. They are always ready to go the extra mile for all their church customers. Love this place!

I love coming here to get parts for my controllers, dont have the gusto to rebuild it? They will do it for ya and they work like you just opened it from the box.If you like Magic the Gathering, they also sell cards and such for your needs

This place is great! They offer new AND retro games and systems. If they dont have what you want in stock, theyll order it for you at an awesome price! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They also give more for game trades than Game Stop. Definitely the place to shop for gamers! Oh, they also book birthday parties, get togethers, and host Magic card game tournaments. Check em out!

Had some great finds that i havent seen before. Purchased a Japanese exclusive Nier title at a very fair price. It seems these men know their prices and also recognize that customers want the best possible condition of said items. Would definitely go back again.

I agree with Jordan. The owner did respond on the prices (but a one day sale to compensate for the high prices?). He did not say one thing over his employees. There are nothing but a**holes now working there. I remember going in a while back before they built the gaming room in the back and they where helpful, kind people to help you understand or answer any questions you may have. Hell, even other customers helped but now, dont even look at them or they will ignore you. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for retro games.

Everytime I have gone into this store I have felt very welcomed by the staff. I do not consider myself a retro gamer, but I do play games often. They have a good selection of games and it seems to keep building. Ive been coming here since around 09 or possibly 10 because these guys really helped me out when my Xbox red ringed. I pop in every once in a while, but my experiences with the staff never chance. They are always helpful and kind.

I’ve been a loyal customer to this store for several years and the staff is excellent and very helpful and they have competitive prices. Dave, the owner, is a military retiree so if you see any negative reviews on here it’s because he won’t put up with anybody’s BS. Be respectful and he’ll return the favor

Do not even waste your time going to this store!!!! For a store that buys and sells vintage game systems and games this is a joke. I took 2 game systems in to sell and without even looking to see what I have the sales man said no. I will never go back in this store and would strongly discourage anyone from shopping there.

The owner is really passionate about his business and really takes the time to learn his customers. He has quite a variety of games, consoles, and manga. If you cant find a game or movie, he can.

Been going in and out of the store for a couple years now, watched it expand from the tiny front room all the way to the back and pick up the trading card games. I met Dave my first time in, great guy, and some times go in just to chat. Ive bought dozens of collectables there thats made a lot of great gifts that otherwise youd only find a few places online, if that. Sure on some occassion a few things are a little pricey, but its never drastic and most of the time a few dollars cheaper than online/gamestop and also one of my favorite things about this place is the option to Barter, nothing better than two people negotiating the value of products to make sure theyre both happy, instead of getting bent over the barrel like at a gamestop. Good shop, great guy, my only regret is being too poor to shop there more often.

So I payed for my sister in law and I to play at the pre release sealed tournament for magic the gathering weeks in advance. This would have been my first pre release since moving to Odessa.I have asked since then several times what time they would be having the tournament would be held. time and time again the kept saying they dont know. the week of the tournament comes and I call yet again. they still dont know the time(mind you the announcement of this set has been about 2 months at this point.) they said call back tomorrow when the magic guy comes. I say ok thats fine. the next day rolls aound and I call again. I ask when the tournament is.(important detail they are closed the next two days for the 4th of July and the tournament is the 5th) and they say uh maybe 3:30 or 7 or 7:30 does that make since? I reply with no that doesnt I need a time. I payed for this and you guys cant even tell me the time yet. this is very unprofessional and bad business having said that the man then cussed me out over the phone. which was also unprofessional. telling me I need to come to his shop because this anonymous talk over the phone wasnt ok. so I show up to the shop and ask for Dave the man who cussed me out and some other guy said he was busy and that he could help me. I demanded my money back and when he asked why I told him what had happened earlier. This Dave dude who was on the phone at the time the walked up to me and said that was me like he was proud of how he treated his customer. then continued to talk on the phone. some other guy then handed me a 50 dollar bill and we left. though the store seemed legit the service was piss poor and now we get to miss the pre release because of how unprofessional the Dave guy is.
