I called about getting a pergola from Cool Covers. A representative came to my home the next day and predicted it could be installed in 30 days. Today Andrew and Zach installed it. They were “the best”....courteous, efficient, skilled and professional. I am very pleased. They get an A+ in my.book. I love the pergola and am thrilled that the entire process was so expertly done.

5 stars is not enough! Cool Covers just finished building a screen room on the back of my house and I am SO happy with how it turned out! From my initial bid meeting with Scott (where he patiently answered all of my questions) to the actual construction with Jeremy and Jase. Everyone was fantastic to work with and I would highly recommend them.

Cool Covers built an awning over our deck in Clinton a few years ago and we loved it. The sun would always blast through our glass doors during dinner and it got so hot. After they came out and installed the metal awning and some shade rollers we could eat dinner without getting blinded every night. Super friendly staff and we loved the whole process!

We were impressed with the excellent customer service we received from Cool Covers. Scott came out to give us a quote for our awning and helped us figure out what would work best for our deck. Josh and Matt did an excellent job installing the awning. They were super friendly and we’re done in no time at all. We would most definitely recommend them for the great work they do!!!

*Update* Cool Covers contacted us and apologized for the way things had been handled and even paid for the repair to our house. Adding one star to my review.Our second experience with Cool Covers sadly was not a great one. We ordered a carport to match our awning and it wasn’t installed correctly. The installers misread the contract and asked my husband if the height looked right and he said yes, and then after further questions said to check with me since I knew the details and had signed the contract. They had already mounted the attachment but asked where I wanted it centered and I told them to stick with what was on the contract. They didn’t mention any confusion about the height. When they were almost finished installing I came to check and it looked wrong, not what we had agreed to in the quote. When I expressed this, the installers got very frustrated and tried to convince me that they had done everything according to the contract and said this was the way everyone else installed carports. I asked to talk to their boss who at first tried to tell me on the phone that they just installed what I had agreed to on the contract that he had measured and written in front of me and that I had signed, and it wasn’t until I said I wouldn’t pay unless it was done right that he said he would come look at it. The installers were angry, one started smoking and arguing with me saying I agreed to the height. The other said, “you do understand that we can’t just move the whole thing up to the height you want, we have to take it all apart and reinstall it”. They put pressure on me to just accept it as is. I compared what was on the contract that evening to what was installed and it was off by 11” on one side and 1.5’ on the other which made the slope off too. When I explained this to the receptionist and their boss I didn’t get much of an apology at first but when he came a week later and measured himself he said they would fix it and make it right, but asked if we would patch the holes left in our house from mounting it at the wrong height and if it was okay to have the same installers come. We tried to be flexible and said we would repair the holes and as long as the installers were respectful we would work with them again. One of the installers was civil and tried to work with us. The other smoked, argued, and made cutting and snarky comments the ENTIRE day. It was astonishing. Then the installers left once they finished without letting us know and just put the invoice in our mailbox, even though my husband worked from home just to be there. Now that it is installed correctly it looks great. Mistakes and miscommunications happen and if they are handled professionally they are no big deal. This could have been another five star review even with the mistake but unfortunately it was an unnecessarily miserable experience and we are left with patch job that we don’t have time to get to.

These guys are awesome. They were very quick to respond to my questions. The bid was cheaper than others and the product is superior. The got the bid to us faster than their competitors also. They came out much quicker than originally promised and were done in about 3 hours and were extremely personable. I cant say enough about the entire experience.

Our old awning was damaged in the huge windstorm last summer so we replaced it with a beautiful new awning with the pergola-style wrap. It really updated the look of our backyard. I love how maintenance-free it is. The install went well- we had to wait a few days for a delayed part. It was worth the wait, they put it up in a day and they were flexible to work with. It looks fantastic. We are looking forward to enjoying our new awning this summer and are considering adding a carport awning to match with the pergola wrap.

It was a pleasure working with Cool Covers. The product is attractive and sturdy and has held up to extreme wind (70 mph gusts) and pelting hail without damage. When ask questions, the installers were patient, professional and pleasant. Scott, the gentleman who does the bidding and layout was very knowledgable and, from my perspective, the price was reasonable. I was very impressed with the level of customer service practiced by this company. After calling to set up a bid, Brian came out just a few days later and gave a competitive and honest price. I was not pressured to upgrade to a more expensive product, like I am so many other times in this type of bidding situation. All of my questions were answered up front, and the process was straight forward and honest.Upon learning the wait time for installation, I decided to buy the raw materials and install the awning myself. Brian even offered to drop off the product a few days later in-between his other installs, a generous gesture, considering they were so busy. He took the time to explain how everything should go together, and the order of assembly. After he left, I thought I was on my own to figure the install and make this awning happen, but such was not the case. Brian came back THREE different times to give pointers, assist with a few difficult parts of the install, and to check out the finished product, AFTER I had agreed to do the install by myself. I have had Cool Covers install multiple awnings, patio covers, deck covers, pergolas, and shade screens for me over the past two years. I am confident installing their products in Davis and Weber counties knowing their covers exceed the required wind/snow load ratings for these areas. This past year with the wind storm(s) was a true test. Not a single issue. Brian and Scott are true masters of their craft. The crews are quick and efficient. I will not use anyone else for any of my upcoming projects. I know there are a few cheaper awning guys out there, but to me getting the best value is worth the couple hundred dollar price difference.

Cool Covers recently replaced my storm-damaged car port. I got a few bids prior to deciding to go with them. Cool Covers was NOT the cheapest bid, however, I felt they offered a better product. I was not disappointed. They did a great job and in just a couple of hours my old damaged awning was removed and a new and superior one was in its place.

Theyre building a patio cover for my brother in Clinton and he loved that their steel roof has stronger engineering than any other awning company in Davis or Weber County. The awning is beautiful. They were able to install a 12x24 awning in three hours; start to finish! Very please with the work. There was a construction issue but the owner, Scott quickly resolved the problem. Excellent customer service. We will be back for another addition.

Did a marvelous job on one awning. Another awning had an issue. Took a couple of calls, but they came out and fixed it.

I have had Scott on two projects. One about 8 years ago where he did a great job helping me get exactly what I wanted in my pergola. He had the imagination to understand why I wanted it to be a free form and did it on the spot. I wrote a letter to the company that he worked for at the time because I was so impressed with him. Now again I had need of his expertise on a rental home. He gave me a bid and followed through with what he promised. We had an appointment to get a bid and the estimator showed up early and left prior to our scheduled time. When we called they said he was already there and wouldnt be coming back. We were also told he would call us but never heard from him. Maybe they do good work, well just never know

I just had a patio cover installed, and the workmanship and attention to detail is top-notch. I met with Scott to scope and bid the project and the price he provided was fair and honest.We had a few issues with getting the permit approved by a the city so the project ended up being delayed. As soon as the permit was approved the work was immediately scheduled for the following week and even though delayed significantly, the agreed upon price did not change.Jeremy did our installation and I highly recommend him for your project. He is friendly, professional and courteous.This is my second project with Cool Covers and I will be using them again in the future.

We have been very disappointed in the overall functionality, durability and applicability for what we needed. we were sold the flat pan product that does not work because it was built under trees and the leaves make the water back up and it comes down the house. We have made a service call and have not had anyone come to look at it. The gutters cannot handle any amount of leaves he leaves and results in blocked flat pan, gutter and it and the rain spout. the product was not durable as the hail caused major damage for being steel as we were sold on. very difficult to clean and maintain. Very dissatisfied !
