I am so excited to get my new board. I will make a detailedI Review after Ive been on it a few times. Ive only heard good things so I am optimistic
I bought an Assault XX a few years ago. I floated some rivers/lakes in this boat but never with confidence. The construction was sloppy with seams pealing off exposing shoddy glue construction and not properly welded. The boat was not symmetrical because of unevenly cut and glued PVC material-- which was not high tech material like Orca for example. Just simple PVC. Check NRSs website for a good breakdown of materials. Unsurprisingly the boat leaked air. I have owned boats from Outcast and Big Sky Inflatables and never had this problem. I ended up giving the boat away to a neighborhood kid and told him to use it in small lakes with a PFD close to shore. The shipping was also a 3 month ordeal but thats another story. Do some research on this company and their reputation. You will find it littered with stories similar to mine. Safety and confidence are paramount on the water.
I bought 2 Trekanoes over the phone from Dave... I have not put them in the water yet as it is winter here. They appear to be made well and I think that they will do the trick for what I bought them for, especially for the money that I paid for them ($998 for the 2 of them). Beware of some funky business practices, as I never received a receipt or confirmation of my purchase, but Dave kept his word with me and I appreciated that. I will write a further review after I have a chance to float in them, but I really like the design of the crafts - even though there are some definite corners cut in the quality of some of the features that I can live with if the boats do what I want them to do (backcountry backpack in float trips).
Buyer beware! We bought a paddle board at a Denver trade show from them back in January. Got it late April/early May. First tine out in June we heard a leak but the board seemed like it was holding air. Second time out it was worse, basically useless. My husband tried calling several times as well as text with no response. Warranty on their website says we can ship it back at our expense, include our CC to pay for return shipping, and it will take 8 weeks to fix it. So basically the entire paddle board season in Colorado. Don’t waste your money. Craftsmanship is bad, customer service non existent.
Didnt buy anything there, but got good advice on how to repair a leak on my inflatable kayak. Dave was very nice, very knowledgeable, telling about his products. All the while, there wasnt any pressure to buy.
Great owner. Always meets our needs first, so we can get back out on the water. I own several of his products. I will purchase more.
Love supporting local! Dave has been great to work with!
It was a pleasure doing business with Dave. I love his products and currently own the Stingray 360. Total quality is all I can say. I had mine blown up and in the water before anyone elses version was even blown up! To be honest I was already fishing before anyone elses craft was in the water. Dave knows his stuff and I would recommend seeing him if you want the best in inflatables.
Bought a frame for our boat. Snapped after 3 uses. Emailed them. Never heard back. Waste of money
DSP, is hard to get in touch with at times. I ordered a boat in May, the second week in July I received a couple of boxes. Wrong boat. Long story short, I decided to stop by the shop on my way back from a trip to Co. I was able to pick up my boat and get on my way.
Excellent products and service. I own two boats the Renegade and Dragonfly. Both have held up extremely well, will definitely do business with Dave again.
Always had great service from Dave. All of the products ive owned have been amazing quality.
Absolutely terrible customer service, needed some repair materials for the Dragonfly fishing boat, which is made of very thin PVC and tears easily, called 5x, no answer, e-mailed, no answer. I would avoid buying these products if I were you.
This place is amazing! Dave scadden is a genius at what he does!
