Very friendly and welcoming service. The food was delicious and fresh. For drinks we had Dirty Chai latte, so good! We ordered inside (everyone was wearing masks) and ate outside. Also bought coffee beans from Peru. They offered to grind them, however I love to do it at home with my own grinder.

We have some good friends who moved to Ogden some years ago and we were visiting them.I had said I wanted to try a good coffee place and had seen Beans and Brews coming in. We went there despite my buddy saying it was gross. I didnt believe him...I guess. Not sure what I was thinking. But it was quite terrible.HOWEVER our way out of town he had suggested Kaffe Merc. Well I should have just come here in the first place!!Had the Highlander grogg and got my wife a latte. The prices were very good for the quality and flavor of the dark liquid goodness we all call Kaffe.Service was good too, the guy was very friendly. Not sure what was going on with the black nail polish, Halloween was just a few days away? Anyway, I would recommend for sure

This is BY FAR my favorite coffee shop in Ogden! Everything on the menu is made with quality, care, and a lot of love. Dominic is absolutely the best barista (you make my lattes perfect every time!). The staff are always so friendly and sweet. I also love how affirming this business is. As an ally, its refreshing to know I can get great lattes and support local affirming businesses!

OMG! Are you kidding me! This place has the best coffee. Look Im not exaggerating I like good coffee, I only DRINK good coffee. No sugar no fancy stuff. Just a straight latte. Since the coffee I drink is just coffee I can tell YOU with 100% assurance that this IS the best coffee in town. And the decaf is water decaf so your good there too. Kaffe Merc is one of my favorite little busniesses in Ogden! They are very time efficient and everything Ive ever had from them is perfection! My go to is a breakfast sandwich with Bacon on croissant and a chai latte iced (the hot one is also so good.) During the summer they do yoga and if you go to the yoga class they do drink discounts! Definitely check them out if youre in the area, Id recommend them any day!Update:This cute little coffee shop gets busier and busier every time I come! Its one of the only coffee shops you can sit and chat right now. There are groups of people that are regulars and come every week (or more often) to meet up. Ive been seeing all ages of people from little kids (2-3years) to older adults. The food is always so good and served hot! If you order pastries they will warm them for you, keep in mind this isnt a bakery so pastries are limited. I overheard a couple say they used to only get Einsteins because it was the most like what they had in another state until they found this place. They said they lives in Oregon for years and its the only place even similar to the coffee shops in Oregon. Support small businesses and come check them out!

Everything was good, except for the fact that its in the middle of a neighbourhood. The food and drinks took a little longer to make then I expected, other than that, I let was amazing!

How do you make your toast so damn good? I MEAN ITS JUST TOAST. Had the B.S.I, it was delicious and satisfying. The mozzarella was perfect,avocado could not be any fresherLoved it.

Ill give a better review when I see some change. I used to love going here before the pandemic but since things started opening back up some of their new baristas are awful at making drinks, they dont have any clue it seems like! This place now has some of the worst lattes, mochas, caps, and machiattos Ive had in this city and taste watered down! It used to be one of the best too which is sad. Please re-train your workers because I used to love coming here!!

Fantastic little cafe with awesome coffee and light breakfast food. I am much happier in the morning after drinking some of their coffee and eating a piece of toast, which is topped with avocados, tomatoes, mozzarella, and some seasonings.

Meh. Plain jane coffee place with too much overwhelming advertisement, signage, and content on the walls and all around. The current baristas and counter staff are below par compared to my prior visit a few years back. I don’t remember the quiche being as soggy as it was this time.

My friend and I stopped by here for a small breakfast & coffee before skiing at Nordic Valley. The service was absolutely wonderful! Their orange juice and drip coffee was tasty. We also loved their veggie breakfast sandwich and sausage quiche.

Great local coffee shop that displays and sells local art. They have a beautiful backyard. Important to note, this is a converted house, so the parking is all street parking. My friend who is diabetic loves this place, as it is the only place in our area that serves chai lattes that she can drink. I love their hot chocolate and croissant sandwiches. It is definitely one of those small gems that are very homey and have a great environment. Make sure to pay attention to your GPS when going, as it is in a partially hidden spot, though that is part of its charm.

Should consider featuring more extensive pastry options... cannoli, fresh fruit tarts and perhaps crepes. Crepes could also be served savory style which would further open the menu.

This was a great little shop, the atmosphere was through the roof. My espresso was some of the strongest Ive had in ogden. The kid with the ponytail was friendly and very helpful.

Favorite place to get coffee and tea in Ogden. Situated in a residential area above Harrison blvd- there is a cafe side for patrons and House side which functions as BnB. They have a quiet backyard area with sun, shade trees, and places for sitting :) Wonderful atmosphere for reading, journaling, and practicing mindfulness.In addition, Merc supports and markets local artists’ work, which is worth checking out whilst waiting for your order.

If I could give more stars I would! They have a text to order which makes picking up breakfast and coffee when in a rush an ease! Their staff is incredible, the cafe is cute and perfect for meet-ups, homework, work, or some personal time.

It was a very nice place when we walked in and we were new there we never been there before I even told him that we were new and I don’t know why he still was very rude! Don’t come here if you have social anxiety, the barista guy did not make me or my friend feel welcomed there. We ordered a bagel and after he gave us our coffee he looked at us and said anything else super rude and then gave us our bagel 5 mins later. He made us feel like we weren’t welcomed at all it was sad bc it was a really nice place and I do want to come back but I don’t know why he was so rude we were being very nice.

This Cafe is located in a residential area of Ogden. I like it because is casual and kind of hidden. They have options for vegans and people that are lactose intolerant. I tried a Chai latte with coconut milk and I loved it. They also serve small bites like sandwiches and salads. If you want to grab some coffee or tea and is Sunday afternoon, this place is good option.

Probably the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. Their chais are phenomenal and I’m obsessed with their lemon cakes. I love that they have other local artists sell their merchandise there as well.

My regular coffee place was already closed for the day so I decided to try this place out. So glad I did! The espresso is delicious, and very strong, and the vibe here is super nice too! Ive been about 6 times now and its been just as good every time.

My husband and I really want to love this coffee shop. It’s walking distance and it has a great outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, the staff seems inconvenienced when you order food. The food itself used to be good, but now, I feel they rush everything. Avocado toast should be served on TOAST, not barely warm soft bread. The quiche is in desperate need of salt (used to be my favorite item on the menu). Some items are a little overpriced as well. This place definitely has potential, but the staff is ruining it. Also, it doesn’t take much effort to walk food out to the outdoor seating area when there is no one in the shop... especially when your customer has their hands full with a baby and a coffee. Not sure we will be back.

We love Kaffe Mercantile! Several years ago we were talking a walk and wished there was a place nearby where we could stop for a warm beverage. A couple months later, they opened! Its the perfect neighborhood spot for a warm or cold drink, the kids love walking down to get a treat. A literal wish come true!

Kaffe Mercantile is within walking distance of our home, and even when it wasnt we came here often. Food is lovely, coffee is great, staff is so genuine and lovely.Its also a great place to go when you want to know what is going on in the Ogden area as they always have local event flyers, announcements, business cards, art, etc.Highly recommend.

This was a nice cozy place to go for an afternoon cup of coffee and a book. they have fantastic customer service. I couldnt have asked for a nicer afternoon.

They have great customer service, perfect turnovers and hot chocolate. My wife has had a lot of different hot chocolates from lots of different places. And she can proudly say this is the best hot chocolate she has had ever in Utah.

Employee was working without a mask. I LOVE this coffee shop though. My GF was craving a pastry. We went to the Cupcake Shop and Sapori Italian Bakery & Cafe. Employees behind the counter at both places either wore their masks inappropriately or not at all. My GF did not want to risk it so I told her, You know where theres pastries and employees that wear masks? Kaffe Merc!.I was very disappointed to see the barista without a mask on.At the end of this journey my GF didnt get any pastries. However I still got some coffee. I do love this shop. But, after going to three different places, it was a let down having to see 3 local small businesses disregard health protocols during a pandemic.I will add a final note, the baristas here 9 times out of 10 do wear masks. I think I just caught this barista slipping on a day where my GF and I went to two other places looking for fresh pastries.

Nice quiet place with good coffee. I am pretty sure its a house that was turned with a coffee shop extension on it. They sell gluten free cookies (pre-packaged). They let you make your own coffee and have a bunch of different options. Some are organic. They also have lots of different milk choices.

My family loves all three Kaffe Mercantile. Great staff at all three places and awesome atmosphere.

These guys are awesome. Always nice and happy to help me when I come in. There’s always interesting stuff to try, and they have gluten-free stuff for Celiac disease people like me. I love the location and the cool stuff they retail from local startups - soap, beard oil, etc.

Great service, awful coffee. Ive been here at least five times and the black coffee just isnt very good. The beans are very low quality. Might be good if you dont mind flavored/sugary coffee beverages a la 1996 or want a good atmosphere and a pastry. The employees are always friendly and fantastic and its a shame the coffee doesnt match.

I was just in a few minutes ago only to talk to Nick and Lance. I saw them comment at a public meeting on Tuesday night and I wanted to let them know I appreciated their remarks. They were not there unfortunately.I did find a gem in a perfect little shop/cafe. I got a pastry and a drink and the crust on the pastry was clearly made with great care. So good and flaky and yum.This is a great place. Go there right now.
