Nice comic shop with a good selection of collectible loose figurines. Star Wars, GI Joe, Masters of the Universe, and much more. They also have a lot of Magic merchandise. If you are in Ogden, stop in and see them. Well organized and air conditioned!

The workers there know their stuff. Ive been trying to get into MTG again recently and they were very helpful with whats best. The store is cozy and has just about any board game youd want. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the store was a but overwhelming to me, with all the different stuff they have, and because the staff was so knowledgeable it made me feel like I was asking stupid questions instead of genuine ones. Always my first stop for board games, card games, and comics. Staff is helpful and really they go above and beyond to help you get the right stuff. I almost bought some playing card sleeves and boxes online and Im glad I stopped in first or I would have ended up with sleeved cards that didnt fit in the box. Crisis averted.

Great people me and my brother and my brother in law live this place, we come strictly for magic since thats all we really do nowadays, weve all put in a good amount of money into this place, some more then others but they were willing to stay late just to help us finish our decks, love the owners and his wife. Honestly just all round great people.

This was the first time I visited, and Im definitely going again! The store is well organized, with plenty of space between displays, and the amount of stock they have is amazing! I mentioned I was looking for Twilight Imperium, and while they didnt have it they offered to order it, I was impressed with that.I was really happy to find an alternate art copy of Candlekeep Mysteries, its been a difficult version to find. Just their D&D selection alone is incredible, of youre looking for something, come here.

They are so nice here, and they have such a large and interesting product selection, even if you dont buy anything simply looking around will leave you entertained for a while.

John, Rachel, And Zane are the best people you could ever work with in the comic book industry. Their knowledge and skills are great to have when you need to find something specific or obscure. We ordered a book and because or events out of their controls it took a while to get there. But once it did we found out it was a new hard cover boom and we still got it for a soft cover price. They are the best to have and talk to. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!

I waited till now to post this, and I have so many positive things to say! Ive been here quite a few times. I really enjoy talking with John who runs the place. Everything I heard about him and the store was false, and I really dont get why people are mean to him and the store in this way. He doesnt deserve it, and honestly he has earned my upmost respect! John knows his stuff, and so does the staff. Everytime I come in, I always look forward to the smile and asking me what he can fetch for me next. Tons of cards, checks the prices, hes honest and fair, and If you dont know, hell help you out! I cant wait to play here when magic opens up!!!

In my opinion, the best local board game shop. With a location in Ogden and Layton the staff in both locations are the best part of the experience. Being somewhat new to the board game scene its been awesome having the staff explain how to play certain games and the variety of different options out there.

Cool place! Have never visited this store before, but had to pick up a package from Wish. I was pleasantly surprised at how big this store was. It has old record albums, all kinds of trading cards And all kinds of games for The gamer in your life. Definitely worth checking out. The employees were very friendly And knowledgeable.

I came here to find a present for my cousin’s 13 birthday. One of the employees was super helpful and recommended me some manga that my cousin would probably like.

They were extremely helpful! I went in, asked for a specific item, they said they were sold out, but told me they would call me as soon as its in stock! Customer service is a 10/10.

Staff is pushy to try selling you different items. They sell Magic cards at a high price for the quality they are in. So, do your research before you buy any item from them.

I took my 8 year old autistic son in yesterday so he could buy some Pokémon cards and the guy working there wouldn’t even answer any questions he had about the stock in the glass case. Recently became a loyal customer after winning an Ebay auction and noticing the seller had a shop in my state. These guys are amazing. The selection, the prices, the knowledge, the service, its everything you want from a hobby store.

Massive price gougers. Pokémon cards are hard enough to find as is. If you want to find them you can always find them here. That is because they charge almost double MSRP. I pop by every now and again to see if they have anything at a decent price. 9/10 times they have Pokémon cards but they are severely over priced for sealed product. If you are desperate and dont care about pricing this is the place to go.

I love comic books, love collecting, But......These guys do not honor the prices on the books (price tags, not comic original retail), they look it up and tell me a completely overpriced quote, I ended up not buying anything because of this.

If your a collector dont bother looking at thier back stock. Wont honor sticker price. Looks up each book with a algorithm which somehow is more than Ebay prices. Whats the point.

HEEBEEGEEBEEZ is a comic book store based in downtown Ogden. The space is airy and clean, with warmly-toned hardwood floors and pleasant lighting. I think youll find that its easy to get lost in perusing through comic books without actually getting lost. They have a humble, but good selection of graphic novels and mangas outside of their regular comic book library. In the back youll find shelves of anime, movies that hide many treasures. My favorite part of this store (besides the comics, of course) is their classic toys selection. Its like taking a step back into childhood as you peruse old toys that existed in the 90s and further back. In my experience, the employees are pleasant and not pushy. I was able to pleasantly go about my shopping without anyone hovering over my shoulder, but I also knew the employees were always present should I need assistance. There is also a sense of community here. Im not a regular comic book reader, but every time I visit, there is always someone who comes in who chats with the staff with a tone of familiarity and comradery. Its honestly a treasure to have such businesses that build a community.Edit: In regards to why I chose four stars instead of five stars, I would say Id like to see the store space be better maximized. Its open space is verging on bare in some places. With there being such a familial and community centered feel to the store, Id love to see seating areas for guests to come, sit back and read some comics while chatting with like-minded.

Came here to sell some Magic cards. Didnt make much money as I didnt have many cards but the fella that helped me was exceptionally kind and pleasant to work with. The cards they didnt want to buy I just left behind and asked them to give to someone they thought deserved them. Im not sure whether or not they gave them away but I certainly hope they did.

Lots of cool stuff in here. Went down memory lane with all the old consoles they have for sale. They also have a decent variety for comic books. The DnD section was nice as well. They have quite a few board games there as well. Might snag one next time. Very friendly staff as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Well, the “Owner” or so he claimed wouldn’t allow my 7 year old son to use the public restroom, eventually telling me that I don’t believe in science since he claimed that the fumes from the plumbing could carry COVID-19. My awesome and patient son had an accident while I was rushing him across the busy street. Hoping for a little sympathy or an apologetic response at the least I was questioned on whether or not I have a degree, which is hilarious coming from this guy. As it happens, I run a pretty successful company and I’m proud of that, but apparently his lack of decency should be reserved for people with degrees and who vote a particular way or may I dare say people who get their “scientific data” from Reddit. My education and work have nothing to do with being a decent person and expecting as a loyal customer at least an apologetic, I’m sorry. The “Owner” then told me I was throwing a fit repeatedly when I asked him some very basic questions as to why his biology degree and his made up facts would make it any better That I had to run my son across Washington Blvd, a very busy street. Truth is, having my education level questioned, being told I’m throwing a fit when I clearly hadn’t raised my voice, and him cowering immediately behind the counter as I moved closer shows what type of person he is, I love my children but without an ardent apology I will never return to a low class establishment like that and frankly, shame on people for empowering that weak individual to work for them. If I employed people like him we would go out of business, but the clear difference is my industry takes high character and talent which is obviously lacking at the Ogden Heebeegeebeez.

Excellent customer service, clean and welcoming store. Gaming hobby stores tend to be awkward to enter, and unhelpful if youre not playing a popular game like magic or warhammer. But this store will make you feel like you matter whether you play those or not. Highly recommend.

Love this place, I have known this place for 10-11 years. John, the owner, has always been kind and helping to me. Especially when trying to get back into MTG and all I have are old cards. He always found a way to work me a deal to get me back and playing again!!!

This is actually a really nice looking store with a lot of selection for collectors of comics, action figures and records. The staff were pretty friendly and knowledgeable, however, I came down to their old location in Ogden 2 years ago, which was next to their current location, and being that they were in transition of moving I was not allowed to look at their silver age or older collection of comics. Circle forward to last week and they are in their new location which is really nice, and they still didnt have their silver age comics organized or available to look at. I am what you would call a collector and I was really looking forward to digging in and finding some gems, knowing full well the cash I would need to put up. I actually bought 7 or 8 very low value comics to complete a few issue runs, which my total bill was $60, and not an enormous deal, however the section I bought the comics in it did say buy 2 get 1 free. My total should have been around $38, not $60 even with tax. Should have caught that before I left, which is my bad. But seriously, let a real collector look at your stuff man! The boxes were all sitting there under a blanket! I will happily spend my cash at a couple of other comic stores in other parts of the country that I visit. And in todays day and age where I can find exactly the issue that Im looking for online, I still prefer the thrill of the hunt at original comics shops.

I have been coming here for years. I stop in every few months to add some comics to my collection. I always enjoy the selection that I find and often leave with something new and exciting. I dont play magic the gathering but I have been in the store during game nights and everyone seems to enjoy their time there. Staff have always been helpful and able to answer my questions. I plan to keep coming in!

Great place to buy games. Always fun to go to and find new games to try. Favorite location is in Layton. Ogden one is hard to find parking.

Disclaimer: I used to hate this place. I came here about 9 years ago to buy some things and the owner was condescending and snarky. I didnt go back for a long time, because of that.Fast forward to a year and a half ago. I went in to purchase some MTG cards. Staff were friendly, and the selection is the best in Weber County. Prices were average, and I couldnt be happier.

Ive been getting comics here for a few years now. The people who work here are good at giving suggestions on what to read and will help you find anything youre looking for. Its awesome to set up a box to check monthly with your subscriptions

HEEBEEGEEBEEZ is easily the best place for comics in Ogden. Ive been going for years and the Staff makes the store feel much more like a friendly get together. The owner is awesome

Acted like we were not important since we were not there to play their games, felt very uncomfortable like we were being watched while we waited (patiently i might add) for manager to decide on something. I should also mention that was the second time we were there that day since we spoke to the owner/manager on phone and told us to bring down what we had excited about it, needless to say we left and came home with our wares.

They owners and staff are extremely great! They are friendly. & make sure that it’s a fun environment for everyone. From 1st time customer, or an avid collector of comics, magic the gathering(and other role playing games) board games, video games, toys, manga, and more. They make you feel comfortable and truly seem to go above and beyond in helping you find whatever your looking for. It is like this at every store of theirs I’ve been to..

I have shopped at Heebeegeebeez off and on for years. The store is always organized and the staff is always helpful.It wont let me respond to your question for some reason....I do like the new location. I like the layout of the space too. It seemed like you had more D&D stuff, maybe not... But that is my familys game of choice and it was easier to see your selection right away.

There was only one guy working and he was so rude to my husband and I.. We were newish to playing Magic and he definitely made us feel bad for it for some reason. He was all knowing and whatever. We went to one in Layton and he was so friendly and excited to help us get into MTG more by giving us websites and tips. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. Said he played for 25 years!

ABSOLUTELY love all of their locations. Ive spent many many nights here doing all night MTG prerelease tourneys. The staff are super awesome and super helpful. Unfortunately Ive moved out of state and constantly wish there was a card/comic shop of this caliber near me!

Super helpful staff, always good selection of products, but transferring products from other stores takes quite a while. Would give 5 stars if transfers were faster. Thats really the only problem Ive ever had at this location. Other than that super knowledgeable employees that are always fun to sit and chat with. Love it!
