Great customer service. They listened to me and what I wanted and was looking for. I was never pressured to purchase anything. Salesman took the time to explain the difference between gemstones and settings to make sure I was getting what I wanted.
We did a service on a ring and they only did 1 of 3 things listed and charged me for all. The service was suppose to include setting in a diamond, re-size, and unsolder. After them having the ring three weeks we got it back with only the diamond fixed. The first guy we were dealing with was nice & very apologetic and said they would send it immediately and it would be fixed in 2 days. After 3 days we got an e-mail saying it wouldnt be done for another 2 weeks, so we went back to talk to them. This time it was the assistant manager and she was very rude. She got super defensive and said the guy should never have said 2 days because its going to take 2 weeks and its not possible to rush it. Luckily the ring was still in the store so we took it elsewhere. When it came to a refund she was rude again and acted as though it was our fault. We asked if it had been resized and she said yes...later to find out that was also a lie. We acted very calm through the whole experience, but her lack of professionalism was uncalled for. After waiting 25 minutes we finally got a partial refund for it not being unsolderd and have to return back for the 2nd issue with it not being resized. Not looking forward to that.
Im not usually one to leave a bad review, or a review at all, but I feel like if I can help someone then Im just going to go for it.I called to see when I needed to go in for my ring to be cleaned and checked for my warranty to stay valid, AND SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME! Are you serious? I am genuinely wondering how you got your job or how you keep it? Seriously SO rude and inconsiderate. I dont even know how or why you guys are in business if youre just going to be unprofessional to everyone that calls or walks in your door. Maybe dont work for a business that requires social interaction(:
The lady is such rude person and never wants to help or do what she’s supposed to do … if you paid for warranty there’s always something with her for not taking care of costumer … really low and poor costumer service I give 1 because there’s not 0
The customer service was unprofessional and not helpful. I went to ask about sizing for a ring and I asked his opinion between a 10 1/2 and an 11 and his response was, “I don’t care.” I said sir, I’m here asking for your professional opinion about the appropriate size. He was very short and seemed not to care if he wasn’t profiting from my visit.
Tony Colliot is a terrible manager. Terminated me w/o telling me because I couldn’t show up because I was trying to figure out my living situation because I had got kicked out of where I was staying. Terrible manager. If you stop here ask for anyone besides Tony Colliot. Everyone else is an amazing employee
Sales team dont know how to treat their customers. If I could give them no stars I would. Everyone should know this though given the fact their review ratings are awful.
They are super nice and very helpful listens and doesnt force a sale on you ever which is what I really like. Will always go back there and always tell others.
My fiance purchased a pearl ring from here awhile back. Which surprised me given the fact we prefer Morgans Jeweler right across from them. This process started early December of 2020. The ring needed to be sized down from a 7 to a 6. We took it in and they said it would be about 3 weeks, they call us and when I come for the ring its not the size 6 I requested, but a 5.5. We made the mistake of leaving the ring to get resized AGAIN at Kays instead of just paying a repair fee at Morgans Jewlers. Its now the end of February 2021 and still havent heard a thing. In this process weve purchased another black pearl ring and had it sized at Morgans and had it back all within a week and a half. Weve stopped in Kays here and there thinking maybe we missed a call or didnt get the email stating it was done only to be told, We cant locate your ring but when it arrives we will call you right away! I would recommend Morgans Jewlers, the service has always been easy going and THEY KNOW WHERE YOUR ORDER IS AND GIVE YOU AN HONEST TIME OF ARRIVAL.UPDATE: My ring was put in the receiving bin by mistake so it was never sent out. In addition I was offered another ring to make up for hassle. Today I walked out with the correct size of my original ring plus a gifted ring. Kays, you redeemed yourself and I cant brag enough about your customer service and your devotion to make things right with your customers.
Fiancé bought an engagement ring from there and it’s nice. Then we went back to buy the wedding band and the guy treated my fiancé like we were going to steal the ring so we left.
We ordered our wedding bands on August 3rd, with the guarantee/promise that they’d be ready by our wedding date, August 28th.Neither of them were. My ring wasn’t ready until mid September. I’ve called the store about MANY times regarding my husbands wedding band and they never had it in store, or even knew where it was for that matter. They’ve promised to call within the hour to let me know, and never did. Finally I was allowed to talk to the manager and he said he had no idea where it was. Our ring was just lost. So they would have to reorder it, he told me it would be ready November 6th.I tried to get a hold of the manager that morning of the 6th, to ask what time my husbands wedding band would be ready for pickup. He never got back to me.Today is the 8th, and still no information on our ring. It’s been 3 months!!! We are paying for a ring we do not have. This is absolutely ridiculous. It was frustrating enough to not have our rings for our wedding day. I have tried to be nice and understanding since I am aware that covid has caused some shipping delays. But 3 months & still no ring!!??
Nightmare of a Sales TeamI dont know what buying from this company would be like but then I dont know who would WANT to buy from this company. I guess someone who likes having upwards of 4 people staring/commenting on their every move (PRESSURE MUCH) and then getting shorter and shorter with them because they want I dont know....TRY ON RINGS and think about a multiple thousand dollar purchase and then trying to harasses my husband into purchasing something I didnt even want by insinuating that he was somehow less of a man if he couldnt (what decade is THIS?!?).There was some kind of traveling showcase and even to my untrained eye they seemed to be really low quality setting rings and they were only there til the close of business. I dont know why they even started me over there and wasted both of our time. Maybe a question of, Would you be interested in purchasing today would have been good start because I spent 80% of my time looking there when I had 0% intention of buying same day but once again being watched by FOUR people at once can make you act against your best interest. This ended in their actual showpieces that they keep stocked all the time (the quality re-markedly better) and with the salesman trying to set up a payment program with my husband for rings that I had NOT EVEN EXPRESSED AN INTEREST IN yet, and saying that I deserved them and that he should be able to provide them for me and THEN asking me if I even liked the ring....and it was a mediocre match at best to my tastes. Salesman left in a huff after that all but slamming the rings case closed and refusing to make eye-contact with us making it VERY clear we were no longer welcomed in the store. This was like the Car Salesman experience Ive never gotten even at Dealerships. I will NEVER forget about these high-pressured, condescending salesmen and no Kays Branch will ever be getting my money. I know that I will be forgotten in a heartbeat I saw them treating another customer exactly like this upon me leaving the store. So it wasnt just me.Take a couple steps and go over to Morgan Jewelers I had an AWESOME relaxed, no pressure, INFORMATIVE, session with Jesse Guerra (I am going to give him his own review) after angrily power-walking the mall until I felt like I could deal with sales people without screaming and HE restored my faith in humanity after having it destroyed by the Kays Jewelry Sales Team.
I would recommend this place for any body that needs a repair on a ring. My wedding ring snapped two or so weeks ago. I bought my Ring in they were really nice. It wasnt as expensive as I thought it was going to be, they also did a a really nice cleaning of my ring, got it back a week sooner then they said they would. My only complaint is they didnt do a sizing of my ring finger when I bought in and had to call in later on in the day to fix that issue since I accidentally gave them a wrong size otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Well came back later on to get other rings cleaned they did a fantastic job with the cleaning and repair.
This place is a joke. The manager is a idiot and is so rude. Dont shop here.
Walk in and ask for Tony. I have been a Kays shopper for years, last visit solidified why, and Tony was a huge part of that. She or I could not have asked for a better experience.
I would recommend this place to everyone I know. Mick was the one that helped me was super nice and when resizing my watch he was explaining all of the things he was doing. When I was there a couple of people went in and he was answering all of their questions but at the same time he was working on my watch which I appreciated that he was trying to help everyone and not waste anyones time. If I could give this place 10 stars I really would.
I went in to this location because my diamond in my wedding ring was badly chipped. I have not been very happy with Kay Jewelers experiences I have had in other locations in the past, to the point that I was hesitant to take it in, and contemplating switching jewelers altogether. (I had not been to the Ogden location before) The store manager, Mick, went above & beyond to help me. He was knowledgeable & informative. He helped me with an upsetting situation & made it into a good experience that changed my perspective of jewelers. I am thankful that I found this location of Kay Jewelers. I really feel like they are looking out for the best interest of their customers. Thanks Mick!!!
Do not shop here. I recently purchased a very nice ring for my fiance from this location. I was told by the store manager that the warranty covered the ring if it was lost or stolen.About 3 weeks later my fiance lost the ring. I called the store and was advised that the warranty only covers damage. The sales reps are liars and need to be fired. The manager is a moron. The district manager trains his people to only care about making money. Not repeat business from taking care of loyal customers.
Went there today to get 2 watches fit. These particular watches I didnt buy at Kays. However I have a credit card with them and spend about 3000 every year there on watches. The guy told me its 15 dollars per watch to have links taken out. Even though it wouldnt take him more than 5 minutes to do it. Then the guy went back to playing on his phone. They were completely dead and no one else was there. So instead of getting these watches fitted and buying one more, I left unhappy. I am also calling to close my credit account with them. Kays your customer service sucks and that guy was a complete jerk. Ive literally brought all my watches there including ones I didnt buy there and never had a issue. Truly a disappointment.
I brought a watch in to Kay Jewelers in Newgate Mall to have the three batteries replaced. Although it was a complicated timepiece that they do not carry, Aaron Webb spent a lot of time and care removing the nine tiny screws holding the on the back. Aaron provided great and courteous customer service.
The place you go for a quick clean of jewelry you bought somewhere else.
Theres one rude salesman there I dealt with. I had some questions, and he seemed annoyed and dodged them. Also very pushy to get me to choose a ring quickly. I ended up leaving and definitely didnt come back and have a beautiful ring from another jeweler who treated me much better!
I have bought my wedding ring and multiole open heart collections at this store i absolutely love it and we get cheaper stuff for my little girl here the customer service reps are always patient and knowledgeable they treat us like we belong not like were in the way id definitely say stop in and have a look even if its just to window shop they with treat you right
Unless you are ok with horrible customer service and having your property stolen, stay away from this company. They have given me nothing but grief since day one. You would get better service by getting your ring from a cracker jack box. Im inches away from filing a lawsuit against them for stealing. STAY AWAY!
Came here on Saturday to have them print off a receipt for a ring Ive had.. the guy that helped me was very rude & seemed annoyed that I was asking for the receipt.. he was like why do you need a receipt?? Ummmmm, first of all its none of your business but I let him know that I was selling the ring.. He tried to look me up by my phone number & seemed annoyed that I couldnt remember it.. I let him know that the ring was purchased over 6 years ago & that my number has probably been changed quite a few times since then.. I asked him if he could look me up by my social or something & he snapped back something about why he needed the number.. well alright.. he asked me why I was selling my ring.. Again, none of your business but I let him know that a ex boyfriend got it for me & that its been sitting in a drawer for years.. me & my boyfriend are talking about getting married & we know that Kays & Jared are sister stores (which I have an account at both) & if you purchased a ring from either of them you can trade it in towards something bigger but I respect that he wouldnt want that ring tied into his ring he wants to purpose with.. I get that, he continued to say while my wife wouldnt mind its free money.. okay?? Well good for your wife.. but I wouldnt want his exes ring tied into our wedding ring.. well the receipt finally printed & I was honestly so surprised at the customer service I received I asked him his name before I left.. he said Steve. Well Steve you are by far one of the rudest people I have ever encountered & you are in the wrong profession. I would give you 0 stars if I could. Im sure if I was buying something his attitude would of been way different.. DO NOT go this location.. & if you do avoid this guy, I now remember why I opened my account at Jared in Farmington.. The manager there is amazing & we are treated with nothing but kindness whether we are browsing or going to purchase something..
I took my watch to the store in the new gate mall and Larry was great with taking care of my watch and he was fast and respectful.
Steve is wonderful...he was very kind and understanding very highly recommended..with no pressure to buy, they went over and above the call of duty to ensure that things were within my budget, with payments financing ect ect and also getting me approved quickly as well for financing..5yrs ago I sold my original wedding set because I thought it wasnt going to work out between us and I was wrong so so incredibly WRONG to do that...I never should have done that & never felt quite right about it either..Now 5 & a half wonderful yrs later (still married) and very happily (might I add) 18mos after the birth of our son Baby Brian I stumbled across the EXACT SAME SET in the pre-owned section on thier website it was a HUGE witness to me and showed me that everything happens for a reason & nothing absolutely NOTHING happens in gods world by mistake..even the so-called bad stuff that happens in life God can use for good, I had long since made amends to my sweet spirit mate & husband and forgave myself for selling the set then BOOM! It shows right up again, and will be arriving in the mail..I went home and cried tears of happiness there has never been a better way to celebrate independence day and freedom..thank you Kays and thank you Steve..😉😎😇😇😁😁
Came in to get a ring for my mom and was helped but told to come back at a later time to get a discount but promised it would come by Christmas. When we came bacj to purchase at the later date nothing we were told remained the same very bait and switch. The person who helped us prior wouldnt even acknowledge us. Price was higher, had to pay in full instead of 20% down and product will not be here for Christmas. Very unhappy.
I went to kays in the new gate mall and larry was such a really nice n helpful guy we just wanna think him so much..
Do not buy ANYTHING from Kay Jewelers. They have terrible products and have even worse manufactures working for them. You do not receive the quality you pay for and they keep trying to get money out of you whenever you need help. This has not been the first time I have had a problem with Kay Jewelers, but it defiantly will be the last.My husband has purchased two items from them, a necklace and my wedding ring. A few years ago a diamond had fallen out of the necklace, so I went in to go have it fixed. The warranty was not added at the time of the purchase, so I asked how much it would be, the guy reassured me it would not be much at all. After almost 45 minutes of trying to look up the account that it was under (they have an awful and out of date system) he found the account. He then told me that the item was much more expensive than he thought and they warranty was almost triple the amount he had quoted before, around $250.00. Taken aback that he did not know the value of his own product he was selling and kind of offended that he would not think that I could have nice jewelry, I then agreed to pay for the gold work, for that is not included with anything that you buy, unless with a warranty, per say. After weeks of waiting, my necklace was completed. You could tell that the diamond was different, not the same blue color as the others, but I was happy to have it finally back. After a few months, I was examining the necklace and the same diamond had fallen out along with another one. I did not go right in to replace it for I dont just sit at home looking for things to do, I work a full time job and so does my husband, on top of having a 1 and a half year old, we both dont have time to keep going into a place that takes forever to get something done, especially for something that had already been taken care of.After sometime I had problem with my ring. There are four center diamonds to look like one big diamond. One of the diamonds looked as if it was shattered on the inside, clearly different looking than the other three. So we make a trek to Kay Jewelers once again, with my ring and necklace. After the same long process of looking up the account, they took my ring and said that they would have to send it to the manufacturer to get the diamond replaced since the setting had to be altered (or something along the lines of that), and it would take months for that to get completed. As long as the warranty covered it, I was fine with that. We then gave him my necklace, telling him of what happened I asked if the gold work that I had already paid for was covered, he then said no. If I would have came in within a few months of it getting replaced, it would have been covered. But since I had waited so long, we had to pay for everything again (and more for the other diamond). We then agreed and waiting for everything to get fixed. My husband received a phone call from Kay Jewelers saying that the manufacturer will not fix my ring because they do not think that the damage was bad enough. My ring had to stay the same with a shattered diamond. Not only would no one fix my ring, but they had the nerve to say that we could pay $500.00 more for a new ring that was the exact same. We have given them thousands of dollars for them to say that they will not fix my broken diamond and that we could pay more for another one. We declined their offer and just wanted the ring back. When my husband went in to pick up my unfixed ring, they could not find it and my husband had to leave and return once more for them to find it. They are disloyal, disorganized and completely in it for nothing more than more and more money. They do not deserve anybodys time or money or respect.I love my ring and I am not just going to buy a whole new one, it was a gift from my husband, a symbol of us together that I have had for years. This jewelry company does not hold up the values that it says advertises otherwise. Thank you for taking the time to read my long review.
My husband and I found this location back in 2014 when we were choosing rings for our wedding and since the first day we walked in, they have been so kind to us. Theyve never seemed annoyed when I wanted to try on a bunch of different rings, they never seemed pushy towards a choice of ring, and theyve always helped out when it comes to cleaning. In my engagement ring, I unfortunately had a gem fall out, and they replaced it at no charge because as long as you take it to get cleaned every 6 months, they will take care of you. And then life happened and I forgot one of my cleanings, so I actually just took it in and was worried that I voided the warranty, but it just needed to be reactived and it only cost me $30 replacement for another stone that my dog managed to take out with his teeth when he was a puppy and chewed on it when my hand would just hang down. Also, the most recent time my hisnahu and I went in, we were celebrating 5 years together and wanted to upgrade our current rings and they were absolutely amazing with us. The ring I chose was a little too small so they took it to resize it and fixed my old one all at once! Im so impressed with their customer service and have never been disappointed with them. I also never feel nervous to go in and ask questions or talk to them about my ring cleaning and I have social anxiety so its nice to have people that actually care about their customers. I will 100% recommend this location specifically for how amazing they are here!
I have to go to this Kay Jewelers because its the closest one to me and everytime I go I feel like I am bothering them. I wish I was closer to the one in Orem.
I am never again going to Kay Jewelers for anything. My wedding band (from Kays) had a crack in it. I took it in and they wrote down on the receipt that it would be repaired in a week and that we would get a phone call when it was done. Great. We waited a week...no call. We decided to go into the store to see if it was ready. They checked in the back....no ring. They said to wait another week. We waited....still no ring. I called in, and it was still over at wherever they repair jewelry. They dont do it in their store. They said it looked like it should be in the following Wednesday or Thursday. We waited again. No call. I called them again. Still no ring. It was STILL supposedly at the repair place. Apparently it hadnt been repaired correctly and needed to be sent in again. No one ever told me that. I waited maybe another week. No call. Finally I was so frustrated that I told my husband to call and figure out what in the blazes was going on. Little to my knowledge, my husband had gone to the store and it was finally there. They never called or anything. It happened to be there the day he went. He surprised me with it when I got home from school. Guess what....it was one size TOO SMALL! I am never going to them again for anything! Yes sometimes there can be bad experiences with businesses, but I read the reviews and saw plenty bad experiences in the comments, such as those regarding theft by employees, switching out diamonds for fake ones, and scamming people into paying money they dont owe. Now instead of my ring being completely covered under our care package that we paid extra money for, I have to pay 50 dollars to another jeweler every time I want my ring fixed, which is often because my ring has cracked twice now. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT YOUR JEWELRY BACK!! Seriously...this place should be closed down or new people need to be running it! So untrustworthy!!!
Beautiful rings and great customer service. Thank you
Great rings and great customer service. Thanks
Professional and kind staff. They send an email with updates of where my jewelry was in the repair process.
Way to pushy to make you buy something
Do not buy anything from this place it is a ripe off !!!Wish I would have never wasted my money
Insane APR 24.99%. Watch out!
Very pushy and rude salesmen!
