This is one of the worst service departments Ive used. Purchased my truck in 2019 new. Since the first visit (been 5 times) Ive not had a good experience. The last was the worst.My truck is still under warranty and was a transmission issues. The first time I took it for this problem they told me they couldnt diagnose my truck for 6 days. That was okay with me. I understood. I asked if I could just set an appointment and bring it back in 6 days. They told me no I had to leave it sitting on their lot, with no loaner, until they can get to it. I couldnt just bring it back.The next month to leave it. At this point they had slowed down some and promised me to have it diagnosed within 48 hours. 5 days later they still hadnt even looked at it. I couldnt do without my truck and not having any kind of a loaner vehicle.I called Chevrolet corporate and they told me that this dealerships service department is one of the worst. They get tons of complaints. The corporate office suggested I take it to Bob Howard.I took it to Bob Howard expecting a couple days wait as well. Well I guess their service technicians are smarter. They did a simple search for serviceable attempts, found out my problem was an easy relearn. Same afternoon my truck was ready to go. They will literally fixed it in five hours. Smickla couldnt figure it out in 5 days.
I made an appointment over the phone on Monday to bring my vehicle in to change ignition coils and service. The appointment was set for Thursday at 4 pm. I showed up at 3:45 pm to drop my vehicle off by 4 pm and the door to enter service did not open so I ended up setting there for 30 minutes for some to open the door. Once in the door, I was not greeted by anyone so I had to walk inside to find someone. I was finally greeted by a woman who said that she could help me. She took all of the information and verified my services. She even helped to get me a ride home even though they did not provide those services anymore. I did not get a call on Friday to check on my vehicle so I contacted the dealership and asked for the woman. She informed me that what I had brought the vehicle for was not the service that I need but instead a new battery. I told her that I would call right back because I was at work. I returned the call within 15 minutes and was unable to reach her and another person a male answered the phone and said that he would let her know and make a note to start services. I returned the call later in the day to see when I could pick up my vehicle and was informed that they had not started working on my vehicle and the tech had left for the day. So I received a call at 9 am on Saturday from the woman calling to ask permission to authorize to fix the battery. I informed her, yes and she said that he can take up to 3 to 4 hours to complete. I called back around noon to tell her I would just pick the vehicle up and she said that I could not because they had already started on it. So Ibcalled back at 4 pm to ask if I would have my vehicle today and another advisor answered and said that it will not be ready today and the tech had left for the day. It is a nightmare trying to get them to communicate anything and to get my vehicle. I still do not have my vehicle and Im leaving to go out of town. The sad thing is that I have purchased 2 vehicles from them over the past years and Im in the market to purchase a vehicle and because of this situation I will not use any of their services again whether its to purchase a new car or to service my vehicles. So disappointed.
HORRIBLE “service”.2019 Silverado with transmission issues.Appointment for wed @ 10 and told them to only look at the transmission with no other services.Call at 4 that day asking for an update. They said the technician was just looking at it.Call again at 5:30 and was told the oil change was done but they weren’t sure about anything else. We didn’t ask or want the oil change but did it anyways.Thursday: call at 9 and was told the technician wasn’t even there yesterday even though it was already said they looked at it Wednesday.Thursday afternoon had to call again to ask for a status. Truck needs parts and they should be there that day and the truck will be ready Friday.Friday: called 3x throughout the day and each time was told the truck was being worked on at that time (only a 3-4 hr job). Had to go up to the shop to get any further answers.At the dealership we were told the technician hadn’t even started on it.They did not communicate the status of my truck - all info received we had to call and ask, total hold time was around 5 hours for Wednesday and Thursday, they sent our calls to voicemail and ignored them (I know this because I was on hold when we arrived at the service desk and a call was answered right away while my line was still blinking).Ended up taking my truck to have fixed somewhere else since we were told two days in a row it would be done the following day.We were told an appointment doesn’t do anything but say when to check your vehicle in. You still go back to the line no matter what. Once parts are ordered and come in - back of the. Ridiculous. Never coming here again.This is only for the service department. No issues with the sales team. Their receptionist, Norma, was more helpful than anyone else we talked to.

2nd time the church van was towed in for the same problem. This is the 2nd battery thats been replaced. They did a diagnostic test but couldnt find a reason both times what was draining the batteries? The battery was warranted so there wasnt any charge the 2nd time, except for the tow. I thought the tow amount was excessive but the church paid it. I gave them a name to call if they ever need a tow again.
Made an appointment on last Saturday and it took them 1hour and half to let me know they couldnt get to my vehicle. They also told me it was in the back and it wasnt. Dropped it back off on Monday and never got an update on my vehicle. So I called back several times on Tuesday for an update and got put on hold for at least 30 minutes before I hung up. Lastly this visit was very inconvenient and feel the advisors need to do a better job on updating the customer of whats going on with a customers vehicle even its not ready or if they havent figured out the problem. The worst service dept ever. Takes 3 weeks to get a part, then forgets to order the gasket! Not to mention how rude the are to women.

Nightmare experience, never have a had a salesman look me in the eye and lie. Buyer beware
I was treated very professionally during these very trying times. Matt went out of his way for us, and it reminded me why I chose Smicklas in the first place. I cant say enough good things about his people skills. He made it a great experience. I will definitely be back for the routine maintenance as well.
