We have had this service for 8 years. We started with TNT who was bought out by Protection 1. Weve never had an issue with our monitoring. Any time I had a question regarding my account or my contract, they have always been very helpful and friendly. I have no reservations about recommending this company.

Wish I could give them ZERO stars but Google wont let me. You have to jump through hoops to cancel, including sending an email with gobs of info. But after reading these other reviews, Im wondering if theyre even going to accept this after all Ive already done. Stay far away!!ADDENDUM: After doing everything they asked me to do, they finally put me through to a supervisor. She informed me that I could cancel but it was going to cost me $4,000!! What?!?!?!Oh, didnt anyone tell you? These initial contracts are for 5 YEARS!!! If you try to cancel before that you are charged for the remainder of the contract. What a joke!! Whats worse... I didnt even sign the contract. My fraudulent General Contractor (hired to do a remodel) signed it without me knowing, didnt tell me about it, I never saw it, but Im still responsible for it?!?!?!?!Shady, shady, shady business practices.

Make sure you don’t sign the contract without reading. They’ll charge you separate for maintenance and automatically renew your contract every year without your knowledge.

Moving out of our house and into our new home was a great experience, until we tried - SIX TIMES - to cancel our Protection One account. We are still working through a past-due balance for services 18 months after we thought we had cancelled. This company is a terrible representation of ADT, and I will never recommend them to anyone. Horrendous customer service and evidently a huge lack of logging communications in their CRM.

OMG! This company illegally installed equipment in my home without my notification. They installed for renters without me knowing. Renters have moved out. I am the owner of the house and it is being monitored without my permission. I am the home owner and their customer service will not even discuss the situation with me and she told me that Protection One will not stop monitoring my home. They are contacting my previous renters of my home. This is unreal!!!! I own the home, not them.

Protection One took over for ASG and they consistently overcharge me every month, then I call to get it removed, they assure me the next month they will credit my account, then I sit on hold for 10 minutes and they tell me it is for some alarm protection or some other fee they sneak in. They will remove it and credit me, yet they dont. I am under a 3 year contract, but HIGHLY recommend you to use ANY other alarm company.

Would NEVER use this company based solely on the salesmen they sent out to our neighborhood. I told him we were happy with who we currently used and he continued to argue about how crappy they are. I will be sure to let everyone I know to stay away from this company

Run away from this company. Ive been trying to cancel them since Jan 18. They keep calling and asking why i havent payed the bill. They then read the notes and see where it was cancelled but not processed. Horrible company. No customer service skills and they want you to trust them with your home protection.

So the sales rep came out 4 days ago looks everything over. The installer gets here today and say oh you need a glass break also, cause the the other window is not covered by anything. Now its 80.00 more well what do u know my shop only has 2 Windows an 2 doors the sales man did not know the other window might not be covered. Not been with them 1 day and already hidden charges I had the same system installed at my house with 19 Windows 3 doors and a garage door no extra fees. David eggleton the sales rep should have taken care of this. Very very bad business hope his 10% commision is worth the negative review

This company has very inadequate services and sales reps. I was told there wasnt a contract at the initial sale. After going through the sales pitch and signing an electronic contract I received a three year contract via email. When I call to question the sales person Jay. He came with some excuse as to why it was a contract (Cameras) He also signed me up for a monthly $75.00.I researched their website after the lies and noticed that their service which included camera is roughly $54.00.We scheduled the install for Friday the 2nd between the hours of *-12. No one called from this company called us. So, I started calling them it took three calls and finally someone called back. They finally reached us after 6:00 PM to do the install. Welp, they couldnt complete the install due to their website being down. Today is Thursday the 8th, 2016 and no one form this company has reached out to us.I call them back today and the home office hasnt spoke with anyone of the installer nor the home office about our concerns. They have a serious lack of communication. Which makes us question the integrity of this company.I am so very dissatisfied.

Hands down one of the worst Customer Services ever. Id rather talk with the Comcast Customer Service. I contacted Protection 1 because my fire alarm was going off wrongly and after 40 mins of blaring noise and being on hold/ transferred around, the representative told me that her systems were showing nothing was wrong with my alarm and there was nothing she could do and I was SOL. Excuse me? So if my house had actually been on fire, they wouldve never known? and further more she was basically unwilling to help in an way, shape, or form. So would I recommend this service to anyone? absolutely not. I will be calling tomorrow morning and canceling my service because I am so disappointed with this experience.

Technician was supposed to here between 8am-12:00. Calls at noon to say he will be an additional 3 hours late. Called to cancel service and get my installation payment back and had to deal with the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Stay away!

Much like other reviewers, I had incorrect (high) billing, and then decided to cancel with them and go to another company. Then they continued to bill me! I had to pay a ransom to get out! STAY AWAY!

This company is refusing to move my equipment and expects me to pay for the system on my old house for the next 34 months. In order to get equipment at new address I must start a new contract at 58 months. If you are having problems please complain to your attorney generals office. I am

They will scam you into a contract for 5 years and make you pay about 700 to cancel it..their equipment is terrible also iv had the same issue with false alarms 3 different times
