We came in today at 2:09pm and ordered one regular Korean hotdog and two ramen ones I specifically and politely asked for no cheese as we have a person who is lactose intolerant. The girl on staff today looked me in the eye and asked again to confirm. I confirmed. All hotdog please. She asked if we were to-go, I confirmed. Very disappointed when we got home. All three cheese. The question is why? I distinctly remember the cashier and the co-worker laughing as we left. I dont understand whyd they do something like this. Not funny.$30 wasted on food we cant eat.Its a nice place but I wouldnt come back after being treated like that. Not sure what I even did to get that kind of treatment. I hate writing negative review but its all I can do, and the cashier knows it. Theyre closed now.
The food is always delicious and cooked perfectly! The atmosphere is great. We love the customer service everyone is always so friendly and helpful! We always enjoy the boba tea as well!
This is more of a coffee shop, walkin to awkward silence, no music, and I could hear people scraping their plates and everyone whispered. Well, thought it would be fun, not so uptight. Korean lunch box and latte was very good, customer service was none existent after ordering, and everything took a while (15 min for latte, 35 for food…..while sitting in complete silence). Good place to read a book or work on laptop, not for a social dinner.
A beautiful peaceful jewel hiding in the shadows of Nichols Hills. First priority, good coffee! I ordered a large latte and the flavor was rich, the foam not quite as deep as I would prefer but flavorful. The atmosphere is outstanding. With wood paneling, stone floors, amazing lighting and comfortable seating, it makes a commercial establishment feel like your home. If you are seeking serious coffee, a place to rest, reflect, connect with friends, or just restore your soul, come here. You will be pleased and grateful you did.
I wanted to like this place.I love korean food, moving from dfw to here, i can tell oklahoma still very lacking in korean food department. Despite that, okc have a handful of korean places that hit the spot for me. Chae cafe & eatery is not one of them.We got here around 1 ish and we were the only table. Place is clean and theres hand sanitizers everywhere, i’ll give them two stars for this.Ordered teokbokki, spicy stir fry pork and beef soondubu. Totaled 37$ before tips. The supposedly spicy pork is less spicy than the teokbokki, so this was very questionable. Teokbokki was good, flavorful and spicy. On the other hand, the stir fry pork was $12 and it has at most 10 pieces of small cut up pork bellies, the rest are veggies. The portion was definitely TOO small, and I don’t eat a lot.The soup has to be the worst one out of the three dishes we got. Maybe we came on their off day, but the soup tasted like nothing. It tasted just like tofu in water???? Despite looking very flavorful, there was no flavor at all. I’m genuinely confused here because if they were busy and forgot to seasoned our soup, i’d understand mishaps happen. But we were the only one there....Overall, I spent 44$ including food and 15% tips, and I get very mediocre food and no service at all, since once you ordered at the kiosk, they just bring stuff out, and gone forever. No one came to check up to see if the food is good, or refill the water.I also work in service industry and I’ll have to say this is not how you want to run the restaurant.Maybe I’ll give them another chance in the far future, but for now, most likely not going to come back.
This place is ridiculously awesome!!! Driving from Wichita, KS to TX and had to stop to feed the kids. The coffee drinks are some of the best Ive ever had and the food is mind-blowing awesome! We have a favorite Mom & Pop Korean restaurant (they close down a month out of the year to visit Korea in the summer as a family) in Wichita, but the Bi Bim Bop from Chae blew theirs out of the water. Didnt think that was possible. Their poke, quesadillas...EVERYTHING was great!P.S. The service from Briar was phenomenal!
Recently visited Chae Cafe & Eatery for breakfast for the first time, and had a wonderful experience. The owner helped take our order and was extremely friendly. We each had different takes on the eggs Benedict we sampled the avocado with tomato, the short rib, and the traditional ham. What made them all extraordinary was the delicious home made hollandaise sauce that had a beautiful orange color. The breakfast potatoes were hot and crispy! The coffee and an iced caramel macchiato were excellent as well! Highly recommend, and we will be coming back to try more breakfast items as well as their lunch and dinner options!
Amazing food, and great coffee selections! This is my favorite place to eat hands down, and I wouldnt pick any coffee shop over this either! The portions are perfect and Ive never had a meal that I wasnt completely satisfied with. Even my VERY picky wife has enjoyed everything shes gotten.
Coffee was really good, and I was super excited about the menu. We got the steamed buns because they were out of the fried, bad call. Are they filled with vinegar? I literally gagged. We got the bulgogi and shortribs as well. The shortribs were just ok. The bulgogi basically tasted like Jack Links beef jerky chopped up super fine and wet. Im actually a little offended they called it bulgogi. Its the only plate of it Ive not been able to eat.So, in summary, stick with the coffee, pass on literally everything else. I still dont know what the hell was wrong with that bun...🤮
Im not sure if this is the same Chae as used to be on 23rd, but I definitely enjoyed it.A friend and I swung in for lunch and had the bibimbap and Korean tacos to share, and I had the waffles with some grilled chicken on the side. Everything was really delicious, hit the table hot, and got out pretty quickly. The waffles were crispy on the outside and soft inside, the fruit on the side was fresh, and the chicken was flavorful. The Korean tacos were a good portion size, and the bibimbap was sizzling and delicious. It came with a miso soup, which is always a good way to go in my book. Be sure to stop in.
Great food, friendly staff. Not too pricey. Really enjoyed and will be back soon 👍
First time here. I love it. Has a friendly staffs.Foods are great 👍 especially for the price are very reasonable. I will definitely recommend to anyone. My wife and daughters are already planning to come by next weekend.
Hi. Im the lactose intolerant girl that ordered the Korean Corndogs WITHOUT cheese and a hotdog in it and guess what I find in the corndogs... CHEESE and NO hotdog. I am very upset that this order was messed up and Im paying the price by sitting on the toilet.. Horrible service 👎🏻
The place is nice and spacious. When I entered with my friend, there was no one in the bar and we were waiting for a good few minutes until, my friend had to peek their head into their kitchen to let them know we were ready. We got the Korean Soybean Soup, Bulgogi Quesadillas, and the Hot Cheetos Corndog. The food did take awhile to get out, but that was no problem for me. The food was okay, and the soup was way too salty while the rice was old (it was a little brown and dried up). The bulgogi tasted old as well. The best thing was the Korean Corndog, so I would definitely recommend that out of all 3. Overall, experience was okay, but there was no customer service. Most likely won’t be coming back.
I was with the lactose girl and vincent, the service was horrible. We ordered 3 corn dogs WITHOUT CHEESE and WE GOT CHEESE, NO HOTDOG. This order was severely messed up on new levels. The staff working were laughing as we went out. We are devastated as we got home. Horrible.
Cheesy corn dog was still doughy. Food was bad. boba was over cooked and powdery. teokkboki was over cooked. Left with a stomach ache and -$40 dollars. Never coming again.
Clean and Cozy ambience, good korean food and super friendly staff 👍
Great bulgogi, great coffee. Great service
Super friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of good and interesting items on the menu for decent prices.
If you were a fan of “Chae” on 23rd street before it closed, let me just say this: they brought the bimibap here!!! It’s now in a smaller portion since this restaurant is a cafe, but still great. However I’ve found a new favorite, and it’s the DMZ Waffle. Fresh fried chicken, pork belly gravy, and a fried egg resting atop a waffle. It’s to die for! They also have some other great items, but we inevitably order this each time we stop by. If you are on western looking for a relaxing and tasty place to stop for lunch, I present you with Chae Cafe and Eatery!
Could not finish food.. The meat was very old and tasted gross. Also, the hot pot was super burnt and tasted like the used dirty dishes. We will never come back…. So disappointed and waste of money :(
The food is excellent especially the Korean Dinners. The passion Fuit tea is crazy good. Chae opened a last year right before covid, so if Chae Cafe is still serving you gotta be good or else you would be closed.
Great place to study, eat and get some coffee. Only thing is I wish it was open for longer hours to accommodate us night shifters.
Awesome coffee and tea selection. Breakfast all day is helpful. Korean food is so good as well as deli style food availability makes it worth going back to. Great place to study or have a meeting. The food at Chae is Korean fusion at its best. Nice place to take friends, sit down and eat. It could become addictive.
Loved it most definitely going back
Great place for a morning breakfast meeting! It’s a nice quiet place and there’s an extra room off to the side which is great. Only issue is when the blender goes off in the kitchen, which is pretty loud :) I️ had an Italian cappuccino, served in a beautiful teacup! It was lovely! The crepes are a great pairing, it had strawberries and kiwi in it. Satisfied a sweet tooth and not too filling!
Delicious. Love the environment. Service for food is slow.
Chae Cafe & Eatery served food food with very good flavor, but the customer service was only satisfactory. I ordered the Bibimbap entree but received the hot Bibimbap entree. I did return the order because I had something scheduled after my lunch at Chae. I was there approximately 30 minutes, I did not receive a napkin or water refill with my meal. Needless to say I was not impressed with the customer service. The food was very flavorful, even though my ordered was incorrect. In addition to the Bibimbap entree I ordered the Classic Ramen Soup. The Ramen was good but I suggest letting the noodles set in the soup base for 5 - 10 mins to taste the fool flavor of the dish. Initially the noodles did not have a lot of flavor, but after being submerged in the soup bases for several minutes the dish came together. Overall, this was not a bad experience. The food was flavorful but the customer service needs some work.
Always amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful. 100% our go to brunch/lunch spot!
I was invited here for a quick lunch with a friend. I e never been here and it looked appealing. I had high hopes for sure bc the aesthetic is great.Slowest service I’ve ever received. I think the kid running the register should not have been left alone. He had no concern for speed and did not have any desire to rush. I waited 25 minutes for my Americano coffee and after waiting an HOUR for my food, I had them box it up to go after it sat on the counter for an indefinite amount of time and was already cold. I wish I could say I enjoyed it. I did not. It was an overwhelming fish flavor ans I ordered stir fry chicken. I’m aware I’m at a Korean cafe yet I’m allergic to fish. Completely surprised by this, I guess. I threw it out bc it was awful. The fried pot stickers were great.I saw numerous people come in and leave while I was there bc they got tired of waiting.
A top spot for delicious brunch. Got there near seven, it wasnt very crowded. The staff was very welcoming and observant. Reminds me of a place in New York I liked to visit.
Brunch... super yummy. I love this place always quality food & service. This place has a good design. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.
Came by to check out the menu, thought we were coming for some breakfast, ordered the bulgogi, it was AMAZING . The service was Great, one of the cooks came out and talked with us, there is something for everyone, Coffee, breakfast, lunch, dessert, and they specialize in Korean dishes, I highly recommend this place
My favorite spot for quality brunch. it was so fresh. looking forward to coming back with my relatives. this place has a cool design.
Didnt even eat here it stunk and the people did not even greet us as we entered and then stood there for a few mins and they continued cleaning and not even acknowledge us so we took our business else where........
Really bad service and food. is not even korean food.
One of my favorite spots for quality Brunch. got there about one, it wasnt busy. this place has a cool design.
Always a great place to grab a cup of coffee! It’s usually not too packed like most coffee shops.
Best customer service and food is always great! Try korean fusion foods
One of my fav places for tasty brunch. came here on a friday i think. definitely worth a return visit.
Love this little place! So cute, quaint, and great food. We’ve tried the ramen, iron bibimbap, Korean tacos, turkey sandwich, waffles, ginseng and ginger tea, maple latte, and lavender latte. All were very delicious! There is something on the menu for everyone. We will definitely be going back!
Best Oatmeal brulee you will ever taste.
Korean Food with a new twistThe Korean quesadilla was a new modification to the traditional Korean food. Not bad! However I prefer the Korean stone bowl which is an excellent choice especially during the cold weather season. The variety of drinks is highly recommended. The atmosphere was excellent and decor was trendy. A good place for business, or a date.
Nice ambience and helpful staff, so I was surprised that the apple cinnamon muffin I bought was stale and hard, and my iced boba tea was warm with mushy boba pearls.
Great atmosphere in Nichols Hills. Awesome coffee and tea selection. Breakfast all day is helpful. Korean food is so good as well as deli style food availability makes it worth going back to. Great place to study or have a meeting.
This place is amazing. The coffee never tastes burnt and the specialty drinks are delicious. The food is out of this world. The two head chefs are always super friendly when they come out of the kitchen and they are putting a delicious Korean twist on modern breakfast dishes. The duck confit hash may be one of my favorite dishes in Oklahoma. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for delicious food and great locally roasted coffee.
Atmosphere and appearance are very nice. My sandwich, the california, was delicious but sweet potato fries were disappointing, a bit over cooked and barely warm. A friends eggs Benedict was cold. He loved the ice tea. Wait staff was Awesome, except the didnt offer to comp or reduce receipt for food that was to cold to eat
The savory crepes with a side of fresh fruit was an excellent choice for lunch. With a citrus-y hot tea ... mmm.Great atmosphere and service, convenient location.
I have had the opportunity to enjoy many menu items and have been blown away each time. The food is prepared fresh upon ordering and is tantalizingly delicious. I recommend the California Roll Sandwich. The brioche is lightly toasted, buttery and tender. The mixture of crab, coleslaw, cucumber with a touch of avocado is the perfect combination! You cant go wrong with any of the benedicts either. I will definitely be back for more!!!!!
We were looking for a coffee shop and I will not go to the big national chain. I like the locally owed businesses and I was not disappointed with this shop. My wife is a tea drinker and I am a coffee drinker so this was the perfect place. The tea doesnt come in a prepackaged bag but was loose and steeped in the pot. I had an espresso and it was perfect.I would recommend this shop if you are in the area.
The food at Chae is Korean fusion at its best. Nice place to take friends, sit down and eat. It could become addictive.
Really great, loved the Korean food!
Good coffee and breakfast
Very cool, sushi AND coffee!? Good place. Trendy, hip, fun. Lots of cool local pictures. Great conversation pieces. Perfect for a date where you need to establish some common ground. In the trendy Nichols hills area
One of my favorite sushi/coffee/tea places in the City. The dessert bar also offers many options for an after-dinner spot to stop at and relax. The music is great, the service fast and the breadth of the menu, impressive. I chose this space to have my post-American citizenship soiree because I enjoy it so much. Try various options and experience something new every time to maximize your enjoyment. Or if not, stay with what you love. Either way, this is a great place to study, relax or meet a friend for a chat.
Coffee is bomb! All of it, but especially if you like iced or frappe. A bit expensive but delicious. Food was good. Really good eggs benedict. No fifth star because the other food we’ve gotten seemed really under seasoned, but that might be to account for a bland palette crowd. Service is good. Place is clean but needing some upkeep. We will keep going back!
Love this place! Was an All About Cha fan before and so glad they kept the ambiance almost the same. Same owners, same operators. Perfect coffee and bites cafe for Sunday mornings and also my favorite place to study. Pumpkin Spice Latte is always my favorite and the Avocado Benedict is beautiful and yummy.
Peaceful place, friendly staff, lemon/honey tea was delicious👍
Very clear that this place is manipulating their Google reviews. Multiple multiple duplicate reviews. Many user only have 1 review which is for this place. Very suspicious and I wont be visiting again.
Absolutely delicious food. Thoroughly enjoyed!
Love the ambiance. Delicious drinks. Tasty food and desserts. I think that pretty much sums it up for a nice cafe. Great place to hang out with friends.
Awesome people great food will have to come back and try some of the different teas. The food is the bomb though.
Fun coffee shop. The atmosphere is comfortable, with a classy spin to it. There is a large variety of teas & coffees. I especially love all the Korean drinks (sweet potato latte, green tea latte, various teas- in some, the flower blossoms while it seeps!). Im not a big fan of their Korean fusion foods, otherwise I always go here for a late night with friends or curl up with a book!!
Most of their food and drinks are great. They are a bit pricey though. Its a great place to study as well, but I often go elsewhere because they dont offer reward points or a punch card like every other coffee shop ...it adds up and with how often I am out spending money while studying I prefer to put my money towards being able to earn free food or drinks. If they offered this I would give 5 stars.
Stylish decor and clean restaurant. The latte is good and the beef breakfast wrap was also very good. Fast service and prices are a bit high than other places. It seems like a good place to meet up with friends or go study
Its a nice place for coffee or tea. They even have unique foidscto eat. Yummy
We went in, thinking it was still All About Cha. Our drinks were good, but with a limited selection of teas. We got tres leches cake. It was good. The service was terrible. We waited about 30 minutes for 2 coffees, 1 tea, and 3 pieces of cake that were already cut
Really liked the original Chae and I can imagine this place is decent as well but the transition has been handled pretty poorly. They are using the same website and it hasn’t been updated or updated properly, so if you call them, the things they offer are different from what the website says. Some things they don’t offer and the pricing is different. The people working there are obviously unaware of this because they can’t seem to clarify this problem or understand why people are trying to order things they don’t serve. Seems like a pretty easy problem to solve. Maybe they will figure it out someday.
Wonderful little coffee/tea shop! Excellent service and great selection, whatever your drink choice. There is plenty of comfortable seating as well if you need a place to work or study. I would definitely recommend!
I seriously love this place. It’s probably my favorite study spot. They have so many different kinds of lattes/coffee/tea. They have all types of non-dairy milk, including oat milk! The food is amazing. All the Korean favorites plus more. Bibimbap, japchae, ramen, avocado toast, and so much more. It’s cozy and the owners have always been so nice and hospitable. The staff is also very friendly and helpful when trying to decide what you want. They won’t kick you out if you’re there studying all day either!
Love their tea, the service, and the atmosphere. I will definitely visit again, and try some new items from the menu.
Delicious coffee. Unique ambience. Good customer service. This place is great. Privately owned, so totally worth passing up Starbucks... Local is always best. They have food, including sushi- fresh fruit... Check it out!
This is a surprising mixture of decadent desserts, fine teas, crafted coffee, and sushi. It is seriously good! There is a lot of comfortable seating space inside with plenty of tables. The service was excellent too.
Nice quite atmosphere. Food was fresh and tasted great. The owners are very friendly. Will definitely come back!
Best blended Thai tea.
Internet is really slow. I like to work at coffee shops and need a good Internet connection. Unfortunately, I can barely load web pages, much less stream music while I work. Id choose somewhere else I less youre here for just coffee or food. At least those are pretty good.
This is a cozy place that is frequented by college students. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and the food they serve is excellent. There is outdoor seating as well, for those who wish to enjoy the weather.
Great atmosphere (quiet, comfortable, and clean) Food/bites: good sweet treats-deserts, tea is a bit pricey, food is definitely aimed for a small quick bite, unless you get the lunchbox. As for the reason to not be a 5 star, sometimes the music can get a bit to loud, or they run out of the flower tea pots (this has happened 3 times, over multiple months), so you have to wait until one is finished, for you to then enjoy your tea.
