This store is amazing. Patty was able to find the perfect dress for my wife on the first try. The dress actually fit perfectly and needed no alterations, but Patty had been ready with recommendations of tailors if we had needed one. My wife loved that she was given recommendations of what would look more flattering on her, too.We found both of the people working here to be very kind and helpful, and will definitely be returning! We also loved that masks were actually enforced here, made shopping a lot less stressful for us.(btw, photos really don’t do this dress justice. It’s BEAUTIFUL.)

I found my wedding dress here back in June for a wonderful price! It was such a fun experience, too! I called that morning and they were able to schedule me an appointment that afternoon. They know what they have in stock and exactly where to look, so if you aren’t sure it’s definitely worthwhile! They’re so knowledgeable and helpful.

Made an appointment to bring clothes in to consign which was easy. They took everything except 2 items. Huge selection and good prices. I found 2 tops. Plan to be back. Be environmental, buy and consign here.

We found THE dress!! They have a wonderful selection of wedding dresses. Our appointment couldnt have been better. She was very knowledgeable about fit, styles and alteration needs.

Customer service was very poor. I forgot my mask in my car before coming in and was given a stern lecture on how silly it is not to wear a mask. I’m not a crazy anti-masker. I didn’t refuse to wear the mask they eventually offered to me. Reconsider the way you treat your customers.

ZERO is my rating!! If I knew I was only going to get $5 for a whole rack of clothes, two items being brand new, I would of donated them to a more worthy cause. They dont give your stuff back to you; what doesnt sell, they Sell to a recycle cloth company, so they are in a win win situation, You Loose. The owners are Rude, Over Paranoid and Panicky and yell at you if you step 15 too close to them! I had to call them to remind them, after being 6 weeks late, to send me my little check! I will Never take my clothing here again and I advise you to consign elsewhere!

Staff is hit or miss, personally my experience was great. But they have a large selection of beautiful wedding dresses that are fairly priced. I bought my wedding dress here and have no regrets. I wouldn’t recommend selling anything purchased back to the shop, because chances are you will not make your money back.

The owners are very friendly and are fair with most items. Ive been buying and consigning with them since 1999. I needed business suits on a very slim income, as I was just stepping into a full-time professional position. Great quality and selection!

I never post reviews but my treatment today was so awful, I felt I had to. Id give them zero stars if I could. The staff, especially the white haired woman working today at noon, were rude and quite frankly a little too desperate for a sale. Their items are overpriced. Save the trip. Save the hassle of dealing with their parking. There are so many other stores like them to choose from, which is exactly what I did.

I absolutely adore this couple and their store. Many items still have tags. They have women’s, plus, coats, shoes and accessories, prom & wedding gowns, and also men’s casual & suits (I’ve even seen a few tuxes). You will not be disappointed!! They are so friendly, it won’t be long before they’re friends or family. ♥️

The staff is very friendly and helpful. A little strict about how you hang up the dress or walk in it but that’s just because they don’t want it to rip. I found multiple beautiful dresses that are very affordable. If you’re on a budget and want to look beautiful come here !!!!!

I would give no stars if it was an option. I do not understand why these people are still being allowed to operate a business. It is a scam. Having read the other reviews, I now understand that I was not treated differently than others. I took several beautiful expensive womens dresses and suits into their store, as well as a number of good leather bags and leather gloves. He was very critical and rude. I took some of the things but left some of the bags and gloves. He provided no receipt or list of the items left there. I was so upset when I walked out that I was close to tears and I knew I should go back but I just couldnt face that treatment again. And, like other reviewers, when I checked back I was told the items had been donated, despite my request to let me pick them up if they didnt sell. There is zero accountability. I would never never never recommend this place to anyone, ever. I think they are a scam.

I had several folks tell me to go here to find a wedding dress. My first experience was fantastic! They were SUPER busy, but I waited until help arrived!First of all, if you want to find the dress perfect for you, these folks are straight up and HONEST about the dress I tried on. It was the ONE. Now, if youre going to take the negative reviews at face value, youre missing out. Dont expect awesome customer service if you walk in, they say hello to you, and you ignore them. While I was there, that happened TWICE. She said hello, was looked at directly, and those gals ignored them. Why should they get great customer service when they have a crappy attitude??I got a thousand dollar dress for super cheap, but its gorgeous. If you want someone to sugar coat things for you, this is not the place for you. Want to look your most amazing in your dress?? Then this is the place to go!

I loved my experience here!! The staff was very attentive and stayed right with me the whole time even though I had a very strict budget!! They worked hard to find me dresses that would fit into my budget and never made me feel bad about it. I only give a one star because we walked in! We were absolutely judged and belittled as soon as we walked in! We were asked if we had a budget. I told the lady that we didnt have a budget and that we were just started looking. She told us that she couldnt help us if we didnt have a budget! I told we I would take our business somewhere else then. Told her she judged and discriminated us from the start, and that she needed to be shut down. She was so rude and hateful!! This lady even slammed the door behind us as we left! This lady really broke my daughters heart and made her feel so awful..... I will NEVER step foot on there again!! Took wedding dress that was never worn here for them to try and sell, it didn’t sell (to costly) Went to pick it up, This is an 1800.00 dress and was brought there in a wedding dress bag well the guy (John) gives the dress and says he doesn’t have the bag It was brought in and gives a cheap grocery store type bag that only covered the top part of the dress the whole ball gown bottom would not fit in the bag he gave me so I said the bottom is going to get all dirty he said “what are you putting it in the back of a pick up” he was RUDE I couldn’t believe how ignorant a business owner would be for just asking for the bag it came in I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, his customer service skills are HIGHLY LACKING!!! Go somewhere else!!!!

I used to shop at Nearly New in high school and loved that I was getting unique items at a decent price. Post-college I have mainly had experiences with Nearly New by way of consigning my clothes. This has completely changed my enthusiasm about the store. First, last Fall when I wanted to consign some (rather nice) items, they told me it would take almost an entire month to get me in. A month?!? For a process that literally takes them less than 5 minutes? I took my items to GoodWill. This Summer I was able to get in sooner, so I took several items in, one of which was a pair of Anthropology shoes that were only sold online during Christmas time the year before. Lo and behold, I saw a coworker with the shoes on shortly after, and I asked her where she had gotten them. She told me Nearly New. So, naturally, when I called, I assumed that I was getting a check for at least one of my items. Nope, nothing had sold apparently. When I said my coworker had my shoes on, so could you please check again they said, No. Theres nothing. Anything else I can help you with? This was the last straw in a series of more minor incidents Ive had with this place, and I think Id rather pay full price than ever go back there again.

We went here to try on wedding gowns for my friends upcoming wedding. Holy hell I have never met a more rude man in my life. We were attempting to make the appointment and he asked what we were willing to spend. We told him $3000 was the budget. He proceeded to tell us how that wasnothing and continued calling us baby and all sorts of patronizing names. How on Earth can a consignment shop charge so much for dresses?! Ive spent less on brand-new gowns?!?

Do not consign your dress here. I consigned my wedding dress to this place and it was a terrible experience. It did not sell, which is not my complaint, but I called three times to arrange pick up. The first two I was told I could not pick it up at any point before November, (it was October) and that if I didn’t call yet another time, even though it was presently the last week of October, it would be trashed. I called again in November and expressed I wanted it and do not dispose of it, and again, i was told I had to pick it up right away or it would be trashed. I live 45 minutes from the store and I am in law school, so I asked if it would be alright to pick it up the following week. When i did arrive, it was pulled out of a bin, covered in grease( like car grease) and make up stains. He told me I was lucky. I expressed that the dress had sentimental value for me, and they told me it was a cheap dress and that was my misfortune. I think most people probably have some sentimental attachment to their wedding gown, and a desire to sell it extends from an economic need. I called to express my dissatisfaction to the owner a week after because I was so upset on the day. She hung up on me at that point, even though I merely wanted to express that it was a poor way to treat people and was entirely civil. Bad business people, cold and nasty.

I was very happy here. I was wedding dress shopping and realized that I may not find my perfect dress on my first shot. The lady who owned the shop came back to help me. Admittedly, she encouraged me to try on some dresses that I would have NEVER picked out myself... but one of them was so perfect that ended up sitting down and crying in it. I never thought that would be me. Im a very self-conscious person and have avoided whites and ivories my whole life, but she was patient and kind, walking me through the whole process slowly. I was hesitant to come out of the room in the first dress I tried on because it was rather small, but I really liked it. She told me it was fine, that was part of the nature of second hand dresses and that if I loved the dress she could refer me to a very reasonable woman who could turn it into a corset lace back to give me up to four inches. She even kept the store open late so my grandmother could come and see me in the dress before I bought it. I was treated with so much respect (which I wasnt getting much of being pregnant out of wedlock - yes, it still maters to a lot of people) and kindness. I plan to go back anytime I find myself looking for something for a special occasion.

I had the most amazing experience at nearly New last week while shopping for my wedding dress. They made me so comfortable, and confident, while giving me constructive input that helped me understand what fit my body best and what complimented me most.At first, I didn’t see the wedding dresses when we walked in and it made me nervous they weren’t going to have many. I was blown away by their selection and I’m happy to say I found my perfect dress there. I will definitely be returning.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Nearly New. We were referred there by a bridal shop that didn’t have what she was looking for in her price range. I recommend making an appointment so Hattie can give you her undivided attention, as she did for us. She listened to what my daughter was looking for, showed us suggestions and allowed us to look through the large selection of dresses ourselves. My daughter found a dress but wanted to think about it. She came back 2 days later to look at it again before choosing it (thankfully it was still there). Hattie never pressured her to make a decision. I’m mystified by the less than kind reviews others have left. Hattie and her husband were so personable and fun!

A+ service, selection and price! John was extremely helpful, fun, kind and patient. I was on a crutch and boot, trying on wedding dresses and he couldnt have made it easier for me. He easily helped me find what I was looking for and is very knowledgeable. When I found my dress, which was perfect, he dolled me up in jewelry and veil and we toasted to celebrate! They have a very nice selection of clothes and purses too. I will be back to shop here again. I highly recommend this place.

The nicest couple of shop keepers, they always stop in the middle of what theyre doing to greet you upon entering. If you let them know what youre looking for, theyll hunt with you and help you find your size. The pricing structure is very sensible, and they have a wide array of so many garments. I love coming here whether I buy something or not. I highly recommend it for clothing/cosplay needs.

Rude! Rude! Rude! They do have great resale dresses but you have to tolerate the people that work there treating you like a criminal, fat shaming your teens, and following you around like you are going to mess something up. Do not ever send your daughters here by themselves they will he treated horribly! I am a grown, almost 50 year old woman and the owner walked up and gave me dirty looks and pointed at signs about the number of dresses we could take back as if I can’t read. They want to argue with you what size you are and end up making your daughters feel horrible and see nothing wrong with it.

I love this shop. Clean and beautifully organized and cared for. Top drawer items you wont find in any other c. shop or thrift. Delightful, delightful, straightforward, fun, intelligent, strong, most interesting personalities who own and run the shop (John and Hattie). Have a high-point-of-your-day conversation and have the best, memorable shopping hours you may ever have anywhere else.

Such breath taking and unique dresses! Definitely not your average selection. Plus the lady that showed us around was such a delight and knew her stuff! She could tell what sizes and styles would compliment my shape right off the bat! Not something you see very often. Although the dresses I liked were out of my budget I felt guilty leaving empty handed with such great service.

I posted the below 10 months ago. Since the time I posted there have been many more reviews confirming the scam that this place is running. I just wanted to re-post this to help out those that are considering selling their things to Nearly New.I NEVER write reviews but I wanted to give people an understanding of what happens when you try to sell your wedding dress at Nearly New. They place your dress on the floor for a year and if it doesn’t sell and you dont call them in time then they automatically “donate” your dress. I brought my dress there back in 2015 and remember them asking if I wanted it back or donated and I told them I wanted it back, but it was “donated” in 2016. I never received a receipt from any kind of place that you would donate to and I never received anything from Nearly New informing me that the dress had a) not been sold and/or b) had been donated. When I called today Nearly New said they would send a receipt…why wouldn’t I have gotten a receipt from the place that the dress was donated to? Unless it’s simply Nearly New’s donation to themselves and they pocket 100% of the benefits? I’m not sure what’s going on here but it seems suspicious to me. Just know that if you take your dresses/clothes in to sell there that you have no way of knowing if they actually sold it or not, especially when they have it set up to automatically be “donated.” Dishonest? You decide. Before I posted this I read many reviews and for me it seems safe to say that this is a rude and dishonest place of business, as many have had similar or even worse experiences.

Very nice little place for consignment, or what Ive always known as a gentry store. If youre looking for good condition mens suits and clothing this is a great place. I might have never gone in though - parking lot is practically non-existent! Just dumps you off on Western and its difficult to get in unless youre driving from the South.

Just went in with my best friend to look at the selection of wedding dresses to see if there was even anything she liked and the guy wouldnt let us step foot in the bridal section without an appointment. Super rude. I dont understand why he would turn away a potential customer. We are gladly taking our business elsewhere.

Garbage of an establishment. Front clerk was beyond rude. We have made purchases there before and had the same kind of treatment. Such a joke. Thank you for allowing us to take our business elsewhere and not to waste any more of our money and time in this appalling dung heap of a business. As soon as I walked into the store I was astonished by the cleanliness and organization. I was on the hunt for a wedding dress and was immediately greeting by a lady. She proceeded to help me but did not hover over me. Lo and behold I found my wedding dress! FOR 90 BUCKS!!! So happy that I decided to go to Nearly New! I dont think everyone will find their wedding dress there but its definitely worth a shot!

I love this store! My sister and I both got our wedding dresses here. They have the most amazing seamstress, and the owners are so helpful and friendly. They have a wide range of prices, and I was surprised with what a large stock of dresses they had. I came in with four ladies and two babies, and they were so accommodating. Great experience.

The lady who helped us, Hattie, was awesome. Very sincere and honest. Knowledgeable on all items. I even asked about bow ties and alterations and she told me reliable options within my price range.

I can not say enough positive things about Nearly New and my experience. Hattie and John were SO nice and SO helpful. The minute I walked into the store I felt so at ease. I previously went to Davids Bridal and felt overwhelmed with the hustle and bustle. I did not find a single dress that I liked and that was at my price point. I was told time and time again that my price point would need to be increased. Davids Bridal was just not my speed. As soon as Hattie found out that I was needing a wedding dress, she jumped right in, like my own consultant and helped my bridesmaids with my dress trying on. Shes well experienced and knew exactly what she was doing, without taking over the whole experience. She was very personable and even gave me her seamstress and how much she charges. We walked in at 5:45pm and they closed at 6. They stayed open for us with no hesitation. After I finally chose my dress, she toasted white wine to us! Not to mention, they have a shop dog! Nearly New is not just for the bride who is on a budget, but also for the bride who just doesnt want to pay full price. I am so happy with my decision. THANK YOU NEARLY NEW!

I would’ve given a 5 star review because my first experience with Nearly new was amazing but I’ve been calling your store and someone keeps hanging up on me!Won’t even talk to me, just hangs up!!My older sister bought her wedding gown from your store a couple years ago and now my little sister wants to buy her wedding dress from your store. There was a very nice woman who helped us and I’d like to talk to her but someone just keeps hanging up on me and won’t answer my calls!!!!I have literally called probably 30 times and been hung up on every single time!!!!I’ve never seen such rude customer service!!!

What an AMAZING selection of styles, sizes, brands, and RIDICULOUSLY insane prices with an incredible staff!!! For a clothing store known for all sorts of occasions John and Haddie were experts at helping Brides feel their best and be knowledgeable about their purchases.  I purchased a dress that was easily one third of its original cost in PERFECT condition!!! I had doubts at other appointments but knew the dress with appropriate, helpful staff that truly love their job! The selection, price, and customer service are austere at Nearly New.  My Groom is even going to shop there for his suit and party attire.  Dont walk, run to this store for all your clothing needs.

I never felt the need to write reviews, but this place especially angered my friends and me. I witnessed cynical attitude toward my friend who was trying on dresses. It was highly unprofessional and rude. The employees or owners (I don’t care) were condescending and judgmental. My friend was trying on dresses, and she laid the dresses on a chair. It accidentally fell off, and the man stormed in the dressing room, grabbed them, and hid them. He said “these do not belong on the floor.” Another friend of mine asked if she could still try them on and he said, “not particularly.” So essentially, no. After searching for other dresses, another girl was trying on a dress, and the lady made snarky comments about how the girl should wear her dress. Along the lines of, “the tights would look stupid and wouldn’t fit with this” and comments about the color of her hair. When we decided to get the dresses back, the lady asked “have we learned our lesson?” Not, “don’t put it on the floor again.” As if we were five. My friend tried on a dress that was out of her price range and the lady said, “We love the dresses we can’t afford. Might as well not try them on at all.” Overall, they just patronized us. No way to sell dresses that way. Get a better attitude!!

The prices are great! I went to so many stores in the metro only to be told my budget was unrealistic and too low. I found an amazing dress originally sold for over a thousand and got it brand new (left over from a designers floor line) for under 300. They also gave my bridesmaids significant discounts on their dresses and shoes! The thrift store selection is also very diverse. Great variety. I will definitely return soon!

We had searched for the perfect gown in several large cities as we traveled from Minnesota to Texas without finding the one. This was a last stop before we had to head home. We didnt think we would find anything here as it is located in a non descript building. We were WRONG! The minute we walked in the saleswoman was fantastic. She helped my daughter narrow down what she wanted, pulled gowns, and was so pleasant. Very attentive and helpful. She discounted the gown and gave us a belt for it that we fell in love with for nothing. This is a consignment store....you never get this type of customer service EVER!! Loved the store and will be back on our next trip down to Oklahoma!

Best Wedding Dress experience of my life! I love you two! The store had many designer dresses sectioned off by sizes. Just pick the ones you like and try them on! They were honest and very complimenting. Their suggestions were spot on. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Theyll give you your space if you want it but are right there if you need anything! I am delighted with my dress. I got a beautiful $4000 dress for $400! They are a blessing in everyway!

They have a great selection to buy but if you are a consignor once you give them your items......they are gone. You cant get them back. I learned this through sad experience with an expensive item. And if you question them you are talked down to. And they charge a $1.00 check fee along with their 60%!

PLEASE, take your items elsewhere!! My mother gave me a lot of her formal wear that she no longer had any use for and so I took her items to this store, thinking it would be nice experience and customer service oriented as it is a husband and wife owned store. First, the woman told me that several items would likely not sell because while they were lovely, many were a size 6 and 8 and many of these ladies “come straight from the farm” in a know-what-I-mean-type of tone. I was absolutely shocked she would refer to her customers this way. As they seemed to have a good reputation, I decided to give them a chance anyway, thinking maybe her behavior was a fluke. When it came time to pick up my items, I was treated horribly. I called the store and the woman first told me my items were available to pick up. I was very diligent about calling to check on my items. However, when I went to pick up the unsold items the husband told me “they no longer had them.” He said I never called when I was supposed to, and so they were all donated. Imagine my surprise as I had JUST SPOKEN to his wife perhaps an hour or so prior. When I told him this, he said “no you didn’t” as though I was lying to him. He continued to argue with me. I actually showed him my phone with the number to the store on the call history. He STILL DENIED I had talked to his wife. I’m pretty upset by this point but holding it in. One of the items was the dress my mother wore to my wedding, and not only is this man telling me they donated my items, but that I was a liar. He said I “could search the back” if I wanted as though I was a piece of trash. I told him no thank you, I would be leaving, but calmly stated I would also be calling the police to file a report (as this was a few thousand dollars’ worth of clothing). Sure enough, about 30 minutes later his wife called to say “they had my clothes” and I could travel back to the store to pick them up. Absolutely no apology. Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience overall. Please do not give these unethical people any of your money or business. This actually occurred some time ago, but just now writing a review to save someone else the time and experience. I actually donated the items… I am glad that I could instead of give these people any business.

They closed 10 min early & would not open the doors even when I called & told them I drove a long ways & was looking for something specific & would not stay past 5. She said they had a couple dresses like that & I asked if I could just see them to know if I should come back & she said no. I reminded her it was still before 5:00 & she still declined. Hattie & John are remarkably cool. I was looking for something a little romantic and chic in white---NOT Ivory, NOT Cream, NOT Ecru. WHITE. I was a little spastic and Hattie and I worked together and she read my mind somehow and resolved my wedding dress woes with 2 simple sashes. That is what I relentless customer service.

Terrible customer service. I feel bad for the people that have their clothes on consignment here because the lady running the show was awful. We walked in and wanted to look around and were told to come back once we had set up an appointment. She was eating her lunch right at the counter and kept shoveling food in her mouth as she was talking to us about coming back. She was rude to the other clientele there as well. I wouldnt buy from here if I was desperate.

My wife brought them expensive dresses to put on consignment, sold 1 80 days ago, still no check!She went there after 60 days to pick up the dresses that didnt sell and was told we donated them and then was told to leave the store and they would send a check for the dress that sold, which has yet to happen!! They said there was a contract, but refused to produce it! So, essentially they stole the remaining dresses claiming to donate them with no receipt or paperwork!THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKED!!

Rude ! Not allowed to thumb through there wedding dresses to even see if there was something my daughter would like before making an appointment so nobodys time is wasted. I spoke highly of this place before had as I have been in here several times with my husband. They lost a total of 6 customers I will never go back and my husband was disappointed. Why the rudeness and lack of professional customer service in a customer service business? As a business owner myself I would never have work.

I love this place .. wedding dresses are beautiful. Lot of beautiful things here. The people are very very nice.

While we were prom dress shopping here, the owner barged in on a girl trying on wedding dresses when she specifically requested privacy. the owner started yelling at the customer and the owner says “well that’ll never fly in a bridal salon.” and after an argument ensued (which is WRONG because she should’ve respected the girl’s wishes), the other owner GOT IN THE CUSTOMERS FACE AND YELLED “that’s not very christian of you!!!” please save yourself the trouble and gas.

Very clean BUT EXPENSIVE!!! It has a nice atmosphere. The dog there is very easy going. The lady working very nice and very helpful. BUT I didnt want to pay like 80.00 bucks for a used pair of pants.

The guy that helped us was super condescending and rude. Wouldnt even let us GAZE upon the wedding dresses without making an appointment. I told him I wanted to keep the dress under $3k and he was like Thats almost nothin. And scoffed at me. I can get a BRAND NEW dress for that elsewhere. He, even after knowing my name, consistently called me sweetie and honey in a super demeaning way. How they get away with treating people like that and selling used wedding dresses at prices like that is beyond me.

Excellent selection of mens shirts, slacks, sport coats an slacks. The prices are low and everything is in like new condition. The selection of womens clothing skews more toward formal ball gowns so not a lot of casual or business clothes but still very nice stuff.

Absolutely love Haddie and John!! Their store is amazing!!The service was beyond any boutique I went to for help. I highly recommend Nearly New !!!

Was excited to check this place out, since co-worker raved about it. Beyond disappointed! Lady was nice. Guy was rude and stuck up. Over priced and over rated! Not sure how they got the peoples choice award. Dont waist your time.

I had a great time at Nearly New, I wouldnt say anything bad about this place! John was so nice, and the lady and i cant remember her name, she was a ray of sunshine. Very good place! I just didnt find anything that fit me at the moment. But that is a Bride for you it takes a million try ons to find the right one.

Prejudice is just the beginning of this place. The owner himself is a racist. Tried to buy a pair of pants he looked me up and down and turned his back on me. We were at the register. Its well known but I had my doubts. If you dont believe me send a person who is not anglo in appearance.

Beware! This guy’s business model is to acquire his inventory by posing as a legitimate consignment store, while never intending to pay anyone for their property. Therefore everything is 100 percent profit! He takes the things you bring to him for consignment and refuses to give them back . He claims they didn’t sell and then claims he “donated” the items. He wont provide updates by phone and hangs up on you when you call. Its obvious hes done this for many years. He will not give you a copy of the contract you signed, claiming that he is the owner of the contract. Do not ever take anything to him and expect to get payment for your items. Read his reviews.

I had a friend bring her daughter in your store today and you were so rude and wouldnt help them in anyways because they didnt know what there budget was. And then you slammed the door in there faces. You have no buisness serving the public or being a buisness owner . Any wa . Shame on you. I wouldnt recoomend this place to anybody

The owners (or workers Im not sure) of this store are absolutely hateful. They were extremely rude to me because my two year old daughter kept knocking a pillow off of their pleather sofa. I kept asking my daughter not to do it, but shes two years old and there is only so much she can handle. She wasnt touching the merchandise or breaking things.... she was knocking a pillow off the couch (not even onto the floor because it was attached to the sofa). They accused me of not parenting my child and when I told them I was going to give them a bad review, they said good because it would keep people like me out of the store. And then when I left with my daughter while my friend was checking out, they tried to speak badly about me to my best friend. If you dont want children in your store, you should post a sign stating such. Also, half the dresses my friend tried on were stained or torn. I purchased a dress there earlier in the day, but of course they have a no returns policy, so I cant even take it back. They were rude to me and they have my money!!! Overall, a terrible experience and I would not recommend this store, especially if you have children. From reading other reviews, it seems that this is not a one time issue for them!

We have an extremely low budget for our wedding. To the point we probably should wait. But we found free locations. Then we heard about this shop. We drove up from noble. We were greeted as we walked in and didnt bother us as we looked around. (I love that!!!) We found the dress prices to be amazing ranging from 150 to 400 dollars. This is amazing considering the other places we looked at were starting at 700. He was extremely helpful when we asked for help. He educated us on what dresses were easy to alter, even gave us a seamstress contact info. Needlesd to say we bought a beautiful dress for 249.00. Thank you again for all the help.

I went here with a friend to look for used wedding dresses, and the experience could not have gone worse. The associate was exceptionally rude and refused to let my friend even try on a dress! She told us to go look someplace else because her dresses cannot stand the wear and tear of being tried on. My friend was obviously devastated on what was supposed to be one of the most exciting days of her life, and I was apalled. Please, take your money elsewhere. What a joke.

I NEVER write reviews but I wanted to give people an understanding of what happens when you try to sell your wedding dress at Nearly New. They place your dress on the floor for a year and if it doesn’t sell and you dont call them in time then they automatically “donate” your dress. I brought my dress there back in 2015 and remember them asking if I wanted it back or donated and I told them I wanted it back, but it was “donated” in 2016. I never received a receipt from any kind of place that you would donate to and I never received anything from Nearly New informing me that the dress had a) not been sold and/or b) had been donated. When I called today Nearly New said they would send a receipt…why wouldn’t I have gotten a receipt from the place that the dress was donated to? Unless it’s simply Nearly New’s donation to themselves and they pocket 100% of the benefits? I’m not sure what’s going on here but it seems suspicious to me. Just know that if you take your dresses/clothes in to sell there that you have no way of knowing if they actually sold it or not, especially when they have it set up to automatically be “donated.” Dishonest? You decide. Before I posted this I read many reviews and for me it seems safe to say that this is a rude and dishonest place of business, as many have had similar or even worse experiences.

Went in to look at the dresses for myself and my two daughters for our wedding because another shop had mentioned Nearly New. Walked in and the Male worker, I cant say gentleman at all, was very rude. He said I couldnt even look at the dresses without an appointment. Never go there. This is probably why they dont sale any of the consignors stuff.

DO NOT-- I REPEAT--DO NOT!! Step foot into this store. If you value good customer service you will definitely not get it here. The male owner and the old white haired lady are extremely rude. I am getting married this summer, and I just wanted to get an idea on wedding dress styles. So I picked my limit of 3 dresses (Believe me--there are about 20 signs around the store to make sure you dont forget) to try on and proceeded to the dressing room. I did not want to step out of the dressing room for all to see, but the old hag was adamant about me coming out. Well, the first dress didnt zip up all the way in the back so I didnt want to go out half naked. When she insisted, I told her I was just going to try on the other two, but thank you. She then said I disrespected her, and I could leave. She also said They sell wedding dresses at Goodwill. I was a regular customer over the years having purchased several dresses here for special occasions such as weddings, proms, and such. I couldnt believe my ears. Also, the male worker (owner) proceeded to escort us to the door and locked the door behind us. I was in total shock. I didnt even know what to think. I have never been treated like this in all my life. I was devastated. They took an experience as special as trying on your first wedding dress, and turned it into a total nightmare. I will tell everyone I know NOT to even consider this store as an option for a wedding dress or ANYTHING for that matter.

If you like rude, absolutely horrible customer service I guess this is the place for you. They ruined my wedding dress shopping experience. Also, why would you call yourself a thrift store if you sell clothes at $88? If I wanted to pay that much Id go to a department store not a thrift store. Dont shop here, youre not missing anything.

I had gone back in with my mom and sister to look at wedding dresses for my mom who is getting remarried after losing my father. The. Ownerturned what should’ve been a fun thing into absolutely as horrible experience He does not deserve anybody’s business or their money.

Would not consider this a thrift store, which is what it came up as when I googled this. Definitely on the pricy side. But the customer service was decent, although the owner (I believe) did try and push me to look at things I didnt need. If looking for business attire this may be a good place to look for higher end clothing for men. (Didnt look at the womens selection as I wear homemade clothes.)

Let me begin with, we are never on the side of town where this store is located because after 5pm you may never make it home. My mother and sister happen to admire one of the used bridesmaid dress that was hanging on display. They BARELY touched the dress to feel the material. I was appalled by the way the nearly elderly woman who SCOLDED my adult mother and sister from ACROSS the room as if they had stomped it to the floor. I was immediately enraged and said we should go. As we left she called me a douchebag. Im pretty sure that phrase is primarily used by 12 year olds. She could have been a tad bit more clever, but obviously she lacks the intelligence. No one should ever tolerate the disrespect she displayed. I believe this was an act of discrimination and Im truly disgusted. I will be calling the Better Business Bureau.

I wish I would have read the reviews before going here. The man was rude. Wont even let you look at dresses w/o an appointment. (Which is not stated anywhere). Not on fb, website, or anywhere in the store. Telling us that would have been fine had he not been a rude ass about itHonestly dont know how theyve stayed in business this long.I do not reccomend this place to anyone

Fiance found a dress in under 30 min. Owners were very helpful and even helped her try on several dresses as i took pictures for her mother to see! The costs cant be beat ether.

The man at the front counter was rude, we went in there just to browse for wedding dresses they wouldnt even let us look so we turned around and walked out. We went to another better store that had better dresses that were not USED and bought one that day.

Dont ever give your wedding dresses to them! Gave my wedding dress to them in 2012 and never got a call back. I really wish I would have kept it because my husband passed away. I went back to ask for it and the man that worked there blew me off and was rude. I literally would do anything to get that dress back. Happy you got money off my dress and I got nothing . This place is trash and so are the heartless people that work here.

Horrible experience. Went in looking for a formal dress, saw they had a beautiful wedding dress. I am engaged and have been jeering my eyes out for something. I went to try it on and he asked what I was doing? I said trying on a dress and he said no, took it back from me and put it back on the rack. He was incredibly rude. I will never be back and I would not suggest anyone going here.

I bought a dress there about a year ago for my wedding, but would not go back. A man that worked there let me try on dresses, but kept insisting that I show him everyone I tried on even if I didnt like it. When I told him that I didnt want to show him he responded with a comment like, Well were not like other stores honey. I felt like he was insisting I was being a brat, but I just didnt want him to see me half naked if the dress didnt fit or whatever. As a customer I think I have the right to ask not to be helped. I had my mom and my maid of honor with me and thats all I needed. I will not be going back.
