Ive shopped at many leather stores around the country, this one is overpriced. If your looking for full pieces I wouldnt buy them here. They also dont sell scrap pieces.

Went in to get supplies for making my first knife sheath and ran into the manager and told him what I was doing. What I loved was that he knew exactly how to take care of a newbie without making me fill like one. He provided all the right suggestions without trying to load me up on tools that I wasnt ready to buy yet. He even offered up a couple tips of the trade to help my project go easier. Thanks guys!

Large store, not crowded. It has a large selection of leather, tools, and kits to make.

Leatherwork starts and ends here. They have classes, and patterns. Cow leather, lamb wool, gator and snake. They carry an array of punch and awls, buttons and buckles. The folks behind the counter are knowledgeable and helpful. And finally their prices seem reasonable. I say reasonable because I have nowhere to compare. So though, because of this, it may all be subjective, try for yourself.

Very helpful people. Starting out doing leather working? They have what you need to get started right. Already in it? If you havent heard, they have great deals for businesses, and offer discounts for veterans and first responders. Tons of different types of leathers and products. Simply amazing!

The Tandy OKC location is the epitome of terrible customer service!I have been a half dozen times and only once have I been asked if I need help.My last visit I asked for help and waited for over 20 minutes for no one to assist and was able to look up items needed online and purchased that way since no one can be bothered to help a person standing in their physical store.

I like going to this store in person; its a weekend tradition recently. They have a great inventory. I personally appreciate Barbara at Tandy Leather in OKC. She is super helpful. Were talking breaking down sealed pallets to get me what I needed. Kudos Barb, keep rockin it!

Not sure about solos experience but it sounds like he was acting like a petulant child. I have not had an experience like this. The staff has always been very helpful in finding the right tools for my various projects.

Ive gone in here a couple times. I like that they give military discount. I also like the selection of leather they have and being able to know what youre buying.

Overpriced, waste of time. If youre reading this, you might as well Google what you need and order it from online. First theres a tier system to their pricing (ridiculous as bibs for pigs) so if your not a member youre going to pay a couple dollars more for any item. Whereas on the Internet you can buy it without having to be a member. A lot of the items you can find in the store at Tandy Leather you can find far cheaper elsewhere. I went in there to look around and see what they had to offer, and I was greeted by Mike. He asked me if there was anything I needed help with showed me a few items and left me alone. I find what I need after about 5 minutes (the store isnt very big). And proceeded to checkout. The problem started there as therequired was another customer who was checking out ahead of me. The other Mike behind the counter began a conversation with the ppl in front of me and it lasted almost 30 minutes. After about 20 minutes I began banging the metal rings in my hand so loud it hard to hear them talk. BUT THEY STILL DID. Whats worse is the other cashier joined in and was talking with them. I just kept banging the rings so loud that the manager Mike stopped talking and looked to see what was going on. The cashier Mike realizes Im doing this to be sarcastic and asks me if Im ready to check out. To which I reply: Yup, have been for the past 20 minutes. Mike stops and looks at me and says: Well, Im sorry. (As if he was anything but) So I just keep my mouth closed because Ive already wasted 30 minutes waiting on this inept cashier to get done w the last guy that engaged him in conversation. The old lady then turns around and asks me if I would like a catalog. I say No this was my first time and last time coming here. She doesnt even flinch just says okay. And goes back to what she was doing (Nothing). At which time the inept cashier had finished figuring out how much I was owed and handed me back my change. I left feeling like I had just been violated and forced to watch paint dry. Thanks for nothing. Got charged $1.60 for metal hoops (on sale) found the same hoops online 10 for $5 / story of my life.

I had a great expierience at tandy leather in okc today they were very kind and willing to help with any of the questions i had they helped me find out what tools i needed seeing as how im just starting out with leather working, there prices were really good too.

This place has an amazing inventory, but the Manager is a jerk. He doesnt treat his average customer anywhere close to as good as his big customers/friends!! My cost on a particular item is $54 at his store(OKC) and he will horde stuff for his big customer and even refuse to sell them to me. He said they were spoken for, but I checked back 2 months later and they are still in their inventory. I bought the same hardware from Tandy in Iowa, and California for $32.15. I wont be going back there ever again, because I now have a better price at the same store in a different state. Nice doing business with you OKC store........NOT. Would have cost me $648 for 12 in OKC. I got 12 for under $400 including shipping from the same company in different states!! Beware of this place as long as KC is the manager.
