This was a perfect breakfast for a day of sedate sightseeing. The restaurant was fairly crowded when we first arrived, but it was more than worth the 30 minute wait. Every food item offered here is surprisingly huge and easily a filling meal unto itself. The omelettes dont skimp on the toppings and the cinnamon roll would on its own be enough to serve as a hearty breakfast. Despite the restaurant being crowded, our waitress Jessica was prompt and effective.
Absolutely love this place! my boyfriend and i have been both times right at 6am aha! the servers are so so kind. the food is well priced and delicious! i got banana nut oatmeal and a side of hash-browns. my boyfriend got the country fried steak with fries. we also got a cinnamon roll which was sooo warm and tasty! no complaints at all! highly recommend trying this place out:)
Absolutely one of the best places to eat breakfast or lunch in the OKC area. The food was amazing and had great flavors. The staff is very lively and friendly. I went off of a recommendation from my server and ordered the Chilaquiles and he was right, it was heaven on a plate (Shout out to Danial). The bloody Mary was very tasty and you add your spice level. Sorry for the last pic but that was our cinnamon roll we ate in seconds..... Highly, Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Food was okay, service was okay. I ordered the Chile Benedict. I feel like the cotija cheese threw the whole plate off. It was supposed to come with a green Chile hollandaise sauce but it was missing. When I mentioned this to our waiter he advised that it would cost extra, even though I explained to him that I did not need extra, was just missing it entirely. The coffee was good. We also chose outside sitting. There are warmers outside around the tables that were super nice as it was a bit chilly in the shade.
Dont get the breakfast burrito. Aside from that, it was good. This is a traditional breakfast spot. Look for the pancakes, eggs and bacon, biscuit and gravy style breakfasts. Stay far away from breakfast burrito. The area is a bit sketchy but everything in okc is sketchy. We didnt encounter any problems.
Wow, what can I say! The food was to DIE for, I had Corned Beef and Eggs, with Hash browns for my side, wow, it was AMAZING. But the best part? The part that will have me coming back every time? The service! It seems like most of the time I go, my server is a woman named Courtney, and lemme tell you, she has to be one of the most reliable/personable/efficient servers I’ve ever had. She deserves all her flowers up there! Y’all need to check out this restaurant ASAP!!
Went here after a sleep study. Food was just what I needed. Staff was super friendly and willing to help. Tasted great and would go again. 5 eggs out of 5.
Great Brunch menu, I couldnt keep myself from looking at all the beautiful food passing me to other patrons! It made it hard to decide for my first time there. I did decide on the seasonal shrimp and grits. It did not disappoint. The grits did need a little more salt for my taste, but the over all flavors were good. The poached eggs were perfect!
One of the best breakfast I have had in Long time.. Jessica ( our waitress)was so real and down to earth I wish more people in the world would act like her, it would be a great place to live .. and ole Addison, whew she stole my heart with them sexy beautiful eyes !! OMG just plain beautiful no words can explain the beauty she had in her eye. Therefore my peeps I give this the best place in the upper 48 to eat and enjoy great people as u take in the great service..
This was the first time I have been to this diner. Me and my husband really liked the food. We had great service. The staff was really friendly, polite and on top of our order. I highly recommend this place! We will be returning.
We had a party of 7 and were seated pretty quickly for brunch. The food was amazing as well as the service. Chuy and Daniel took very good care of us. We have had Daniel as a server before and he serves an awesome sense of humor along with everything else!! Tim, the manager is very friendly and quick to help out if or when he is needed. It’s always a friendly and fun experience AND amazing food every time!
Mom and Pop type diner near downtown OKC. Biscuits and gravy were top notch....big biscuits that were not hard or dry, sausage gravy was not too runny or too thick. Very reasonable prices and good food
Their cinnamon rolls are to die for. You must try one. I recommend ordering one first so you get one for sure. One is probably enough for one person. My family shared one as an appetizer. It was just right for that. They have plant based options if youre so inclined. I highly recommend this place to you.
Good food and lots of it. Place is small and very busy. Great friendly wait-staff.
This is my new favorite restaurant in OKC. I have lived here 37 years and this is one of the best places to eat in the city. The staff are super friendly, the food is incredible and the atmosphere is fun. They have a wonderful plant based menu and the best cheeseburger I have ever tasted in my life! ITS A MUST GO!!!
The vibe here is it! I loved it! Best breakfast and prices
Such a pleasant atmosphere! All staff we observed were friendly and cheerful. Katilyn was our super friendly server and was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Candice is a superb manager and went out of her way to ensure our order was correct. It is obvious she has created a good rapport with her staff. We will be back and will recommend. Parking is the only down side.
Kudos to whoever created this innovative menu. The flavor combinations are creative and delicious. I wish I lived closer so I could try everything on the menu. The server was great. Funny and engaging, really on it. The prices were really good for the quality and amount of food. This is absolutely the best breakfast in the state.
They have the best French toast Ive ever had. Ive ordered other things and they werent great. They also werent described accurately or liberties were taken when they were prepares.
Tofu Scamble with chorizo was excellent. Service was excellent as well. Looking forward to coming back again.
Very good diner. A love a good diner setup and this one fits the bill. Ive been here many times and it never disappoints.
This was me and my daughters first time in and we have found a new place! All the employees were up beat and ever so kind and my picky daughter stated these were the best pancakes shes ever had! So happy to have found a cool, upbeat spot to grab a great meal!
Daniel served us well and was top notch waiter! Best service I’ve ever received in my life! Tom was very welcoming and the food was the reason why we wanted to visit again ❤️ Definitely will be returning for more fun times and great food.
Food was delicious! From the corned beef hash to the chicken fried steak AND lets not forget the cinnamon roll - BROKE D MOUF!😁🤙
Excellent food, large portions, experienced friendly staff, good selection, resonably priced. You will not be disappointed. Well worth finding this place.
First time here and wow what a great selection of Food! Very creative menu with something for everyone, even vegan. The portions were so big and the serve was a real character! Definitely will be back if ever in OKC .
This is hands down my favorite breakfast spot. The biscuits debris or the chicken fried steak and eggs is where its at. Amazing food selection and good drinks.
Best breakfast spot in OKC. I had the chicken fried steak & eggs and it was DELICIOUS. My friend had pancakes and they were huge. Portions are great, service is great, and the food is amazing.
AMAZING! The plant based menu is deelishis. The service the atmosphere everything about this place is wonderful. I will ALWAYS be a customer!
Just try it. Real cooks, real passion, great food.
Delicious!Expect a wait time of 25 minutes for brunch. Its worth the wait but if you have kids make sure to have something to keep them entertained. They have 2 singles restrooms that are non gender and changing tables for your babies or toddlers. Service is great. Your waiter will be able to take your payment. The place is small, it also has a bar area for people to sit and dine. The patio is also open if weather permits.
One of my favorite breakfast spots especially if you want to put a little hair on the dog and have a little morning drinkFood is top-notch one of the best as far as breakfast is concerned I recommend the cowboy! And a southern sunrise Breakfast of Champions!...
Came in on a Sunday afternoon super busy, but I got in at the bar no problem. Had the big country skillet and it was legit good. I was lucky my favorite server Wily was in she got my coffee Oj and oat milk set up, my food only took about 15mins to come out. Overall great experience even tho it was so slammed.
We love going to Sunnyside Diner. Definitely our favorite breakfast and lunch spot in OKC. The food is always delicious, the staff are extremely friendly and efficient, and the vibe of the whole place is great. Special shout out at this location to Candice, who was awesome as our recent server!
Absolutely loved this place. Every server was so friendly and quick! Food came out within 10 min (probably even less) and was all fresh and hot. Great coffee and plant based options. Our server was also very kind to our two small children which we really appreciated. The outdoor seating was fantastic. Will continue to come here when in OKC!
We were excited to see sure a crowd waiting as that is usually a great sign. My daughter was happy to have so many vegetarian options and enjoyed her burrito. I ordered classic Eggs Benedict .. hard to get wrong, right? Muffins not toasted, hollandaise thick and lumpy, hash browns inedible. Order carefully.
Perfect breakfast place. The breakfast cocktails were incredible. The food was a pleasure for the taste buds. All the staff were pleasant and presented themselves with smiles and laughter. I will come to Oklahoma City just to enjoy this place
If I could give -1 I would. Food was bland and boring. Our server Courtny (I think) was clearly in a bad mood and kept forgetting things we asked for. Cute place, but definitely not worth it. I would never recommend
This was another great find in OKC. We had the classic eggs Benedict, western Ave omelet and the chilequilas with green sauce. OMG! Amazing!
Best cinnamon roll we’ve ever had! Other food was good too!Service was a little slow but not from a lack of effort. I think our waitress was fairly new and overwhelmed. The place was very busy. Would eat there again.
The blueberry lemon compote on French toast and routine were great. They dont serve decaf coffee. Most food is way too spicy!
Was my fist visit today,, This place was outstanding, we immediately felt welcome. Our waitress Jessica was amazing and told us some history and great things about the restaurant and owner. They also donate and feed the homeless which is a major plus!Plant based options aswell.
Server did his job but wasnt overly helpful. Food was good, but they had a lot of choices out of stock and improvised by replacing items without saying anything until we asked after. Tequila should not be used in a Bloody Mary just because they ran out of vodka.
I got the fat Elvis pancakes. They were delicious. Overall a great experience. Bathrooms are single occupancy gender neutral. They have a plant based menu selection which is cool.
Customers service was great, portion sizes was awesome but I wish the food had more flavor. The pancake looks good, but tastes bland. No buttermilk taste or any hint of sweetness. The syrup didnt help it was also bland. My sister got the lemon blueberry pancake which gave it some flavor but the pancakes is still flavor less.
Really good food and great drinks...one thing I did not enjoy, wait staff asking out loud what tip I want to leave as they left to check me out stating. I have 20, 25%...?? I would have tipped far beyond what was suggested as $20 is my covid standard, but even I a repetitive hood tipper was taken aback
Good plant base food and regular food very nice service!! CHUY is the best server ever Will come back. I had the play base chilaquiles, delicious!!
Didnt care for the chicken fried steak because it was spicy. Which is strange, but the service was great!
Went to this place from tulsa and will do it every other Sunday its that Great 👍 People friendly 💣 A$$ food just a great place all round hands Down!!! No ?? Asked....
Service was fine and friendly as usual. However, I guess management has decided to cut back on costs because my $9 avocado toast was one slice, sad looking, and not as the menu described. Ive had this meal before and I know it used to be two slices, and the server agreed. Yet it seems the price did not change? I feel very millennial complaining about an avocado toast and really wish this had been a different meal so it does not come across that way but whatever. Anyways, heres a picture of my sad breakfast Im off to a dollar menu to find the rest of my breakfast.
First of all, I’d like to say that the food here is exceptional, between the portion sizes and taste I could barely walk out of here. However my Five stars isn’t just for the rating on the food, it was experience while sitting and watching the process they had and staff teamwork that earned the 5 stars. Every single staff member constantly checked up on each other, helped out if they could and knocked out food and drinks in such a timely manner it was beautiful to watch. I don’t think I saw one employee sitting around with nothing to do. I believe we only waited around 10-12 mins to get our food from the time we ordered. I should have taken a photo of the food but as soon as it was served I had to dive straight in. If I asked I’m sure the staff would have wheel barreled us out to our car, but I didn’t want them to stop doing what they do best. I’ll definitely be coming back to this diner.
Excellent! I got the poutine. It was delicious. I also got the Cinnamon Roll. Best Cinnamon roll Ive every had. Service was top notch.I highly recommend this place.
Great service and good today. The wait was shorter than expected. The skillet cinnamon roll is amazing!!
Great food and even greater service. Daniel was a rockstar server. Very personable and attentive. We’ll be back!
Sunnyside is our favorite Midtown breakfast/brunch spot! Extremely friendly service, and fantastic food at a really good price for an overall great value! Tried the Cowboy Burrito today, and it was phenomenal, the ranchero sauce was perfect!! The avocado toast is always a favorite! They’re locally sourced coffee is a great roast too!! Highly recommend!! Only downside is they aren’t open for dinner, which would be awesome!!
Parking was no problem. Sat outside on picnic table. No waiting. Peeps still masking up. Great service! Huge portions! Taste was fantastic! Had the Hangryman!
First time here and I LOVED IT!Service was good and fast... I had a breakfast burrito and it was bomb. If you like authentic non greasy food this is a great place.
Food was really good.Tyler was better!!Had a great experience, thanks!!
Without a doubt the best Rueben sandwich i have ever had. Will absolutely be back!
Such a great overall experience! We went to have brunch on Mothers Day last Sunday. The food was delicious, the Mimosas were stout, just like we ❤! And the servers know there menu and are fun, kind hearted, and very attentive!!And my favorite thing of all is this company gives back to our community!! Mothers Day each Mother was given a flower before leaving; that helps our homeless community transition from homelessness to working.🌻💛🌻💛🌻💛🌻💛🌻💛🌻💛
This was a great place to eat but expect a wait on the weekend. I went with my kids who were on break from OBU. We all enjoyed our dishes and ordered something different. The Benedicts and Breakfast burrito were good choices. The service was attentive and friendly. I really liked the borracho beans - pintos with onion, tomatoes and green chili
Very good coffee and friendly staff. Went for breakfast and their pancakes and Omlettes were pretty good.
What a great place. In the city, indoor and outdoor seating. The brisket omelette I had was fabulous, very flavorful. Prices were average but the food and service above average. As we ate, Sunday morning, the place filled up and eventually there were 10+ people waiting. Put this retro diner on your list.
Was a little pricey, service was great and food was good, the cinnamon bun was gross and super soggy and overfilled with liquid and butter though, its very eco and paper friendly and wont give you straws unless asked and its the kind that go bad fast after being in liquid. I noticed it was only men staffed and LGBT friendly, and they had cocktails so that was cool, besides that it was all good and good experience. We got citrus salad and lite (half) blt, they had a little card game to keep us busy as well 😊
This place was awesome. Great choices in music. Food was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Food was moderate. Friendly staff but at the end the server told us the higher the tip the better. He was friendly about it....
