We went to R&J Lounge & Super Club last night for an early dinner. We arrived at approximately 5:45 pm. There were some customers at the bar but no one behind the bar. We walked through the restaurant & still saw no employees. We waited but no one came so we just left. We made our way to Barrios & had an amazing dinner. I’m not sure we will ever go back to R&J.

Im an assho*e and of course wish they had vegan items. But it is just awesome in there. Brought my parents and uncle. My uncle is a saxophonist, and listening to his stories by the light of that reddish candelabra was a visual Ill take with me to my grave. And the music, the people, just classy all around. Also, my uncle is a bear of a person, and he was really enjoying how comfy the chairs were.

Stopped in for an appetizer and drinks after seeing reviews about this place having a great atmosphere and food. It didnt disappoint. It has a vintage vybe with a dimly lit lounge and also a sunlit patio where my husband enjoyed a cigar. We ordered the margaritas made with fresh squeezed juices and not a mix and they were fantastic! I had heard about the bacon for an appetizer and Wow best.bacon.ever. It was $8 for 3 pieces but so worth it. We also enjoyed the hush puppies with a tangy mustard dipping sauce. Our waitress, Jes, was on point and super friendly. She was very easy to chat with and we plan to be back with friends!.

Great outside seating. The chicken fried chicken sandwich I had was kind of gross though. It had huge blobs of uncooked batter underneath the admittedly tasty crunchy outside. Like Im talking multiple bites had no chicken, only batter. The French fries were amazing and the sandwiches my friends had looked great as well. They said it was very tasty.

Good lord this place is fabulous at every level. Ownership/management is clearly on-point and has created a concept here that makes sense and is done in a way that it just works - it’s hard to explain. The food and drinks speak for themselves and the atmosphere is straight up gangster. Must have food: pork belly appetizer & the chicken fry (they use a potato breading and it’s delicious).Beer-wise, they serve only Coors Banquet so if you’re looking for a domestic beer spot, look elsewhere. If you appreciate a well-built craft cocktail poured by friendly, knowledgeable staff, R&J’s is your spot.If it’s a Thurs-Sat I recommend making an online reservation.

This is our new favorite place in OKC. We love Smoke on Cherry St in Tulsa, and Mashd in Dallas, and this place is now part of our trifecta of perfect restaurants. The cocktails are amazing (Try the 5th Elemental or Curious George!). The food is outstanding (Especially the brussels sprouts! And the hushpuppies n shrimp! And the Eastside Chicken!!).(Eastside chicken is what Bobos Chicken would be if they had a brick and mortar restaurant!)We havent had a single bad thing yet. And their patio is dog friendly! They even rough out ice water in a dog bowl for the pup. Music is great, atmosphere is great..Try to go during the day when the tall skinny bartender with the big mustache is working. Him and the girl usually working the same shift are fantastic. (other bartender we have had was pretty good too, just less personable and poured a little to heavy which messed up the flavors in some of their wild cocktails).

This is a great little cocktail bar that looks like its straight out of the 70s. They have a fantastic cocktail menu that is chocked full of classics. The prices are some of the best in the city when you factor in quality. I love the food they have here too, but the food is a little pricey. This place is interesting. The service is great! It’s kind of hidden & hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area. It’s also pretty small inside, but there’s a lot of outdoor seating/entertainment space. I went on a cold day, though, so outside seating wasn’t an option.

Went in with friends for Saturday brunch. The place is intimate with low lighting which gave it a speakeasy kind of vibe. The bartender was also our server and was very kind and attentive. I usually dont order alcohol but wanted to try something given the places reputation for great cocktails. I told the bartender a few tastes that I like and dont like, and she quickly prepared a cocktail based on my preferences. It was delicious! I ordered the chicken & waffles, which was very tasty. Ill be dining there again for sure!

R&Js isnt bad if youre looking for a quick drink in a cozy atmosphere. The staff is always really friendly and has worked with me on food restrictions in the past. Id skip the main course here and go for an appetizer instead.Update: I dont really think as highly as R&Js as I used to, their menu hasnt changed in years and the patio feels like its unraveling at the seams. This place is funky, and the prices will raise almost as many eyebrows as the decor. Some beers fall just shy of $3, and the cocktails all live in the $6 to $8 dollar range. The music doesnt play too loudly, and the tables seat small and larger groups alike. Did not try the food, and it was too hot to go on the patio, but people seemed to be enjoying themselves out there.

Its a small lounge with a vintage feel. Theres a covered area with astro turf that feels like its semi outside. Also, theres a cool back room with a jukebox that can host private parties. We sat on the patio, which is fully enclosed though when it was raining hard, you didnt want to be near the walls. This cozy place feels like it has been there since the late sixties or early seventies, quite by design. Instead it has only been open since 2014. Everything about it is lovingly curated, the interior, the drinks, the menu. The cocktails are craft but retro, the food a modern chefs spin on comfort. Champagne on tap. Red flocked wallpaper. A fireplace. Cocktail weiners. Its pretty great on every level.
