Very nice place to view music equipment or trade/sell. Huge selection on guitars/electric and acoustic. Pretty honest on trade-ins. They put the items up on a large screen for your viewing and compare current selling prices of the same item so you know you are getting a fair market deal. They test equipment as well before buying. No high pressure salesman and love the bird!

The most rude people I have ever met, I was being polite and asked the guy if I could see a guitar because obviously I didnt want to pick up or handle any equipment without asking and he responded with I dont know can you see it, I cant see through your eyes are you blind, because I dont if you can see I was totally mind blown I dont understand why this place is still in business I have never heard anything like that since maybe elementary school... Ill never ever come back to this place or buy anything from them .... Straight non sense

Terrible service the younger guy has zero knowledge of music equipment. First of all was very rude and pretentious. I brought a bass cab in which was perfectly fine which I sold to guitar center minutes after. He plugged it in and turned it all the way up with the lowest note and shook the building, and proceeded to say “what was that buzzing?” So I told him to do the exact same thing to one of his cabs and it did the same thing...... I understand he was probably jealous of my good looks and charisma but wow, they really should not hire uneducated scrubs of the street. If you can refrain from going to this store you should. Just go to guitar center. And to reply to your message...Again it wasn’t damaged gear! It was poor knowledge. I’m not bashing, I was simply telling the truth.

I recently ventured out to find a shop for desperately needed maintenance on an instrument. Someone recommended this place, and I decided to give it a look due to its relative proximity.First off, the shop is very nice. Tons of interesting, good looking used gear. Very nice people (interacted with three different employees). They charged a very reasonable price for the maintenance in question, and I was quite happy with the result. Will definitely be bringing in subsequent instruments for work! Thanks again!

Have you not been to OKC Gear Exchange? My goodness! They have a perfect mixture of new & used gear. Theyve got drum stuff, strings and things, and more amplifiers than you can shake a stick at. Theyve got electric gear and acoustic gear, they even have a bird that can sing. There is a luthier/wizard out back who can restore your neglected axe to its former glory. This local, essential business served its community faithfully during the darkest days of the 2020 Panic. You still holding on to some Stimulbucks? Get off your throne & come exchange some gear.

Awesome place, easy to deal with and good prices! Very friendly employees who are very helpful! My new go to store for sure!Update.I wasnt going to complain and just chalk my service experience up to live and learn, but more I think about the set up I paid for, compared to what I was told when I bought my Ibanez and what I specifically asked to be done, the more it really just angers me. Even when I picked it up and asked, it was feels good to me. Excuse me, but isnt it supposed to feel good to the one who pays to have it done. I believe the only thing that was done was s string change and maybe wiped down. Dont get me wrong my buying experience was really good and the guys working were very helpful. Just dont ever pay to get a set up to your liking, because its done to theirs it seems. I planned to bring another one in for a set up but wont waste my money.

Took a guitar in to possibly trade, but didnt find any acoustics that I really liked. Then when i got home that evening, i noticed that there was a large crack on the top of my guitar that hadnt been there before. I assume that while looking for cracks in the wood they created one. When i went back the next day, they denied any wrong doing and refused to even offer me half of what they had the day before.Tl;dr. The guys at horn trader have much more interesting instruments and also knowledge of how to handle them.In response to Zachary, the owner: you ask a lot of questions now that Ive left a review. However, had no time to speak to me during the incident. Which only furthers my frustration with your business.I live only a few blocks from your location. I own a case and always transport my instruments in professional manners. (I am a stagehand, after all.) i have transported this instrument and many others in varying climates and distances and have never had an issue before. Other than at high altitudes in extremely cold temperatures. It was a beautiful day in either late november or early december and i dont think the elements youve mentioned had anything to do with it. The guitar was examined by your staff at around 4pm and i took it out at home at around 6pm. Also the instrument was apparently purchased at your establishment in the past. Though i had no idea about that, because it was given to me by a coworker about 6 months prior to the incident.Anyways, i would call it a suspicion rather than an assumption. Because I did not look closely at the instrument upon leaving. The best i can do now is to thank you for the learning experience and move on. I apologize for the bad taste left in my mouth for your establishment. But it is what it is.

I brought in a rare, hard to find vintage, tube amplifier from the 70”s, some time back, that I bought from a friend... I was referred to Gear Exchange, by another well known repair shop that couldnt quite figure out how to get the parts needed to fix it, so I took it to the Guitar Exchange shop to try and figure out its problem, No one else could seem to figure out how to fix it. Some experts said that the parts were unavailable. Other repair shops said I would have to find the same amp and then get the parts from that. Its a rare, heard to find item... You just cant find them on the streets anymore, unless someone died and left it as an inheritance... Anyway, I brought it here and dropped it off... Within a couple weeks, I got a phone call saying it was fixed and ready for pick-up.... They charged less then I expected... It still works just fine, to this day... When I first found and bought it, I had been looking for this amp since I had one back in the 80s... I wouldnt sell it for the world... Thanks for a great job, done right the first time... I feel 20 years younger... :)

I had one of the worst experiences Ive ever had buying instruments!First off, the would not budge a penny on sale price. Then they want to offer 20-50% trade value. Come on! I traded a $500 guitar (used price) in for a $400 guitar, isnt enough? Apparently not, they want another $150. So basically I gave them $650 for a $400 guitar! Pay cash if you can, they wont give you what your trade is worth.I asked if they have a return policy....nope. What? Any place you buy a guitar should have a return policy. Heck even pawn shops have a return policy! Finally I asked about a used amp cover. They actually wanted more for it than I can get a brand new one shipped to my door. Seriously?!If I didnt REALLY want the guitar I bought, I would have walked out several times. Ive had much better experiences with Guitar Centers, Larsens, Honest Rons, Lone Wolf Guitars, Horn Traders, and pretty much every pawn shop in town. Now they will probably post a rebuttal about their version of how this sale went. My review is not inaccurate or misleading as they will claim. This is my review and I will never recommend this place! The ONLY reason I bought there because they were the only local store that had exactly what I was looking for.

Every single thing i have bought from this store has either not worked properly, or quit over time, or a bootleg product. most notably was an interface i bought. the interface wouldn’t put out any audio from the speaker connections or headphone out. when i bought that interface i also bought a microphone, which turned out to be fake and quit working. this places return policy can be summed up by “you bought it, it’s your problem now”. the person who sold the mic to me should have been able to see that it’s a totally fake microphone. real sm57 microphones have gaps where the two pieces screw together. it was flush. real sm57’s have the info painted onto the mic. the fake one has a sticker. real sm57 grilles can twist freely. fake ones cannot. all these obvious flaws to someone who deals with gear all the time should be fully obvious and easy to spot, however that wasn’t the case. i paid full used price for a fake product, which even broke. you know your store is bad when even guitar center tests their products.

Not sure how they go about customer service there. I put 3 different offers on an item in their reverb store. I also sent 2 messages to them about the item as well. Not one response or even a counter offer.I then decided to call the store to find out info on the item. The person who answered the phone said if it wasnt a reasonable offer then theyll let it expire and they receive many messages daily and its hard for them to answer back. He then stated that I should just hit the purchase button if I want the item, even though there is an offer button as well. So I decided to ask him about the item and his response was Im looking at it now what do you want to know. At that point I asked if the price was negotiable or firm and he said that its firm.Im looking to be a paying customer and I dont understand why he was so stand offish and the lack of communication online is very offputting. At a minimum he couldve asked me what I offered and gone from there. They wont be earning my business.
