I went into the boost store in Olathe off of old 56 hwy with a broken phone that i needed some data transferred to a SD card. Not knowing how to do it myself.But the gal took my phone asked me what i wanted and transferred my data for me and then showed me how to do it myself.I dont normally go to the stores but this gal was fantastic friendly and didnt get upset with my dumb questions.Differently will be going back to the store. I had recently written a 1 start review for this store due to the cost of a SIM card for the new extended coverage network. I was unaware each store got charged for their SIM cards and it can be different amount for different stores. Instead of paying the $30 this store was charging for them, I ended up calling customer service and they said I should only be charged $10 so they gave me a $20 credit to make up the difference. Then, I went to the Boost mobile store in Lawrence, KS to get the sim card. They only charge $15 (less than this store in Olathe but still more than customer claimed they were) so I got the SIM card there but there was only 1 lady working the desk and there were at least 8 other customers waiting to be helped. So when I asked her what number I needed to call to activate it, I guess she was too busy to write it down for me and she acted like she didnt hear me when I asked her if she could show me how my case came off and where the sim card was supposed to go.The store Im reviewing is closer to where I work and more convenient for me so I came back here today to get the number I needed to call to activate my SIM card and ask how to get my case off and change sim cards. Despite the lady working knowing I had given her a 1 star review ( and had included a few lengthy paragraphs )she was still extremely helpful and tended to my needs without an attitude or anything. Honestly, I dont know if I couldve been so helpful and professional to someone who had given me such a bad review and probably almost cost me. So, Id like to set the record straight. I now realize she wasnt in charge of the price of the SIM card and is actually very professional at her job.As I was typing this, she just came out toy car to tell me if I wanted to come in she could call customer service for me (because you cant call from the phone whose son card you are changing). She goes above and beyond and my first review was written without the knowledge that each store has to pay a different price for their SIM cards. I jumped the gun on that and owe her an official apology.

I had been to 4 stores, 3 times with the insurance of my phone and 5 times with the manufacturer trying to get my phone to work or get a working phone. Miriam helped me do just that. She was friendly and knowledgeable and made sure I left happy. I will drive the 30 minutes past the boost stores in my town to go see her.

Great overall experience working with Dino and the team at Olathe Cellular! We came in to switch phones and change our plan and they made this all happen painlessly. I was trying to do all this on-line and it was not working, i stopped in and within 15 min Dino had changed out 2 phones and upgraded our phone plan. i definitely would encourage others to stop in for support those guys are top notch and know what they are doing!! i have also purchased phones at both stores, great prices, great phone selection and accessories to go with.. check them out

You dont get free phones!! Went in to move over from Metro PC with the promise of a free LG5. Got there and she told me it wasnt free as I had to have 4 lines. I showed her on the website it was it said upto 4 lines. Then after they had cancelled my old phone number they told me my bill was $193 when it should have been $80 plus 2 activation fees of $25-$130.00 in total which I was quoted at their other store on 135th. I tried to cancel but Boost already had my phone number so I could not call out to reinstate my # with metro PC and they would not cancel it for me so they held me to ransom and without a phone unless I paid $170.00. I also could not call Boost from my old handset as it was now defunct. I will never go to Boost again after this and will be going back to Metro ASAP. I was also told I had to pay for phone insurance at $7 each, when i looked at the leaflet it said it was a choice but they said i had to have it. Not sure how they can charge $25.00 in one store and $38.00 in another which are owned by the same people??? Especially as Boost says the activation fees are discretionary..... I would avoid and I will in future.Update: Having contacted Boosts Customer Service this morning, I was informed that activation fees are discretionary and when charged are usually $25.00, taxes included as Boost prides themselves on all their fees being taxes included...... Unfortunately they do not tell the private vendors not to charge them but you can buy from Boost owned stores and this isnt charged. I also found it that the insurance they said I had to have was not a requirement on the phone being free as I was told I had to have it. It is in fact an optional service that I was forced into, which is now being cancelled!!!
