Ate there for the first time. Really good food, the lady at the front was super helpful. Wasnt sure where to order the food but she helped me figure it out. Couldnt find their menu online so I snapped some pictures. Forgot to do one of my food but it was delicious fried rice. I also ordered the fried chicken and an order of egg rolls. Really yummy. More than enough left overs for two more meals :>
Store has everything you need for any authentic Asian cuisine. But their restaurant is the best!! Great food, great prices, variety of the best food!!! The only thing is, which is understandable, there is usually only 1 cook so orders can take awhile..... between 30 to over an hour of waiting. If you could wait, the food is definitely worth it!!!
The male store owner is very rude to customers. No customer service skill, no people personality, no eye contact. Always looked grumpy. The lady owner is very pleasant and nice.
I always go to eat the food. The best steamed rice rolls Ive ever had. The pho is really good. The kapoon is good too. The laab is really good too.
The food was good, though I think a bit high. The main reason I am going with the lower score is because there was no soap, or even a dispenser available in the mens room. The person I was with held the ladies room open so I could use the watered down stuff in there.
We phoned in an order today. It was ready quickly and absolutely delicious. The spring rolls were amazing and both the pad Thai and curry were also. We’ll be back!
Great selection of foods you cant find anywhere else and kind staff.
As always a good place to explore foods not from here. My taste buds enjoy the adventure
Lovely little asian store that sells great ramen!
Ridiculously SLOW service. Tiny portions not worth what you pay for at all. Terribly rude service. So weird that their restaurant closes at 6:30. Highest prices on groceries in the metro area. New owners greedy. 2 stars for good taste of food.
Fresh affordable produce
Very authentic Thai food is served here at an affordable price :)
Very nice customer service had what I was looking for.
We have been shopping this Market for many years now, sad to say today we walked out without making a purchase. The clerk was not wearing a mask, and did not bother to put one on when we came in. Very sad.
Great deals. 4 raw spring rolls with shrimp for $6.00. Lots of spices, noodles, fresh veggies. Small Cafe you can sit down in for a Thai iced coffee and some nice hot noodle dishes. Pretty good menu for such a small place, Ill be going back there for all my Asian ingredients that I use in the kitchen. Polite staff and friendly.
Pho is good as are their chicken wings. Service leaves a little to be desired but the food makes up for it. This is a whole in the wall, mom and pop type place. You have to overlook a few things like decor and maybe overall cleanliness. Again, food makes up for it. Well worth it.
I was trying something new. The food was good. The store was little confusing to me, but guess what, I am not Asian. The people working were very helpful and kind. Take out meal was little high priced, quality and quantity made up for it. Definitely going to try it again.
You will not find a more authentic Lao/Thai food market in the area. However, the best part is the cafe. They cook fresh ingredients right there. They start to prepare after you order so I recommend having a little time or order ahead if time is short. There is no better place for an authentic experience. No frills. no American menu. The real deal. Extremely good. Best kept secret.
Ive ordered from their kitchen several times, and the food is outstanding. My favorite is the pad see ew with chicken. The prices are reasonable as well.
The drunken noodles were fantastic. The pad thai was pretty dry. The spring rolls were some of the best Ive ever had. The market had a decent variety of items.
They have a wide variety of Asian products. I love their selection of noodles. The staff is also very friendly and helpful!
Great PHO, great selection of Asian goods
A whole in the wall with great food. Some of the better Thai food in the KC area. A hidden gem.
Not sure if this place is under new management or not, but not too happy about my last experience.Went here for dinner, usually get good service. But this time, service was very slow. We were the only customers. Food was good, but $15 for raw laab?! Not only that, they tried to charge me an additional order that I didnt order. While I was waiting for the server to come back so I can get a few boxes to go, I did a little shopping around the store. There was an item I was going to purchase, but when it got rung up at the register, it was a different amount, more actually. I told the lady that thats not what its priced for. She tried to dispute with me. I then told her I didnt want it then if its not what its originally priced for. Another coworker, possibly her spouse, went to the aisle and looked at the items. He first came back, showing me a similar item that cost more. I advised I understood that one cost more and thats why I didnt pick that one. He came back a second time and told the lady that it is the price that I originally said it was. At this point, I was already annoyed that she even tried to dispute with me in the first place. I didnt buy the item, paid for the food I ate and left. They need to price their products better. I honestly think she just rung up whatever amount she wanted to charge me.
The fried rice is AWESOME! Better than some other Thai places in OP. If you want AUTHENTIC Thai food then come here! The owners are laid back and chill😎 Seriously!
Had a awesome lunch of Pad Thai today. I highly recommend!
I have only eaten one meal from this place, but that meal tasted good and was healthy!
Very nice staff and they are very helpful. I visit monthly to pickup food for my saltwater fish. I really enjoy my monthly visits. Prices are very good.
It was my first time there, so I went in not really knowing what they had. Theres a lot of different products.
Good selection of asian goods, fresh and frozen. Also serves amazing fresh food in the cafe.
Owner or guy at cash register is very rude. Rolled his eyes and gives attitude when talking. Food is good. Where’s old owner?
Under new ownership but STILL great taste offered for lunch.
Owner is very lazy and not really interested in do business
Always has the fresh vegetables my wife wants. Plus a great selection of my 3&1 Coffee.
Great place to find stuff you cant buy in the regular supermarkets
We miss the old owners but Under New Management they still have a good selection and the cafe still has the same cook very good for lunch
Perfect.
Very nice owners, they are super helpful. The cafe inside had shone great food till eat in or to go, as well.
Love this place. Wide selection of southeast Asian and Indian foods. I visit once a month to buy in bulk. They always have EVERYTHING I need that I cant get at hyvee or Sams. Owner is super helpful in identifying ingredients and chatting about recipes for cooking at home. They also have authentic delicious food to go or sit down on their cafe menu. My favorites are the larp and papaya salad. Definitely recommend!
I really dont know how they did it: big portions, diverse menu, stuff you cant get anywhere else in Kansas, great tasting, like way better than the fancy Thai restaurants (looking at you Pad Thai!), and, the kicker, its cheap. My 3 course meal only set me back $25. Someone one shook hands with the devil, how else can food so cheap taste so good? Service is kinda lacking, if the chef wants to go home early, the server will hurry you up on your order, you can tell their annoyed by stuff they cant bill you for like asking for an extra bowl. Yet somehow everything else makes up for that. Im more likely to drive back there than to ever go back to Koko Thai again.
Our favorite hole in the wall market! Great prices and good products
Great place! Great people!!
Always Fresh Asian veggie....
Food was fantastic, service was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed roaming the store and exploring the different foods.
Such a bad customer service!! 👎👎👎👎
Pad Thai and bahn cuon are consistently delicious. If youre an adventurous eater, try some of the fresh tropical fruits and vegetables. The freezer section offers frozen treats such as coconut or durian popsicles. Their service is friendly and welcoming.
They have very delicious pho, satay chicken, and laab. Great place to eat and shop for Asiatic food items. The prices are very reasonable. Their produce is amazing as well.
The owner is very nice and helpful
One of the best Phos that I have had.
This place is great, but the prices arent marked for most items, so its hard to budget.
Great little store, owner and staff are good people, kind and courteous, not to mention great cooks also!
The owners here are the best in the world and they ran a great store
Nice people working there. Nothing on their products are marked. You will have no idea how muchnyour products are until you check out. Always ask how much the products are before you buy.
Small store but good food. Nice and friendly people
Went in for some basic ingredients for potstickers. I was able to find everything I needed for very reasonable prices. Grocery stores carry some of this type of stuff nowadays (wonton wrappers, sesame seed oil, etc.) but I havent seen any that can meet the price or selection of this store.
I come here to get some produce you cant get at other supermarkets. Always stocked with what Im looking for, and also come to buy Thai Iced Tea mix.
Great food great prices. Love these guys.
Its a good place for quick shoping
I like going here even though its a bit of a drive. They dont have many options compared to other places Ive been to before but they are very friendly and you can have casual conversation with them. The pho I had there is a little overpriced for what I get though.
Well, I know they sell fish there but there is this smell that hits you when you enter the shop. I did find what I needed though.
After reading some of the reviews on Yelp, I decided to stop by for a quick lunch and I am glad I did. Since one review said the owners were Lao, I opted for some Lao dishes and ordered Laab Moo (minced pork salad) and sticky rice.I will say that the food was amazing. The laab was perfectly seasoned and not overly sauced like some places. They incorporated a lot of fresh mint and basil and even served the dish with fresh raw veggies (cabbage, cucumber, and string bean). They also have khaopoon on their menu which I have yet to try.The grocery section is typical of most Asian markets in the metro and leans more on the Southeast Asian side. Definitely worth a visit.
Great store for everything Asian/Thai.
I can always find special items here
It is ok
Rotten food sold at the register. Was sick for 3days because of it 🤢😷
Very friendly service and awesome food from the kitchen.
Have some of the best Thai coffee.
Only complaint is lack of clear prices on some stock.
Best Pho in town... Prove me wrong!!!
Very friendly love the little store
A friendly, family owned place
I really enjoy the pho here
Best panang curry in town!
Great for those hard to find Asian foods
I went in to check it out bought several different types of spicy roman noodles had to throw away most of them were old and rancid :(
The pho was excellent.
Very helpful and courteous
The store is not organized. Most of the items will not have the price listed.
Not very friendly and helpful a few things were expired on the Shelf
Nice soup
Great people great prices
Great food!
Great food spicy
So good
Small Lao market
Because the smell is horrible I dont buy anything ready there
I like fresh fruits and fresh vegetables🙂👍
Different and good food.
