I went into the store today to get a fill up and take them up on the free 2 l Coca-Cola product with any gasoline fill up offer. Which is a very good deal and has made me come to this location over other gas stations that are cheaper within old saybrook.I have never had a negative interaction with anyone here previously but the gentleman working when I gave him my money said he didnt have enough to break it for $3, so I walked out when I turned around to ask him did you hear that I said $30 and not three he said oh, no I thought you said $3. I then asked if he had money to break my larger bill if I was getting $30 in gas. He said yes, so I thought that worked out. He then asked me if I was okay, I said yes I just was surprised at 3:47 in the afternoon when you open up at 6:00 a.m. you wouldnt have changed for a larger bill. When I was getting $30 in gas. He said well just seems like when you come in here you have an attitude not just this time. I found that odd because really I had not dealt with him too much in the store previously, I said well I didnt mean to have an attitude and he replied back that I did.Must be nice to be able to tell your customers that they have an attitude, I did not say anything to him I was just walking out of the store when he said he couldnt break my bill when I was filling up my tank.After this interaction however I told him and will state here I will never come back to this gas station. There is one that is closer to my house and about the same price and another that is a little bit further from my house but the cheapest in the area. so I will either go to the cheaper one or the one thats closer and not go to this location where I was happy with the free 2 l soda and that was the main draw.However now dealing with that for customer service I can say I will never be back here. Henny Penny get your employees in line and if that was a manager this Henny Penny location definitely needs help. A business that has the tagline of fast. Fresh. Family owned. should definitely be nicer and more accommodating then todays final experience was for me.I know that this is one review from one customer and to a business that probably is not that important, but for this customer I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
Ive been coming to this Lovely Little Family Establishment for over 20 years now. Ive been served by so many different people. The Management has always been the Best.The Service is Wonderful. And the store is always Sparkling clean. Prices are fine, for a local store. Especially for the convenience of being right next door.The all time Best Smile Ive ever seen is here. That Smile belongs to an Outstanding. Person, named, Sakunda.a Manager here at Henny Penny in Old Saybrook.However I know his demeanor wont allow for such compliments. So I will say it anyway. Ill be coming here as long as I can make it to the front door🥺😃
Went to get juul pods and the lady wouldnt take my ID even though im 21 and turn 22 in 10 days and go there every week and shes served me before😂 she wouldnt even scan it. Looks like Ill be sticking to Old Glory from now on very disappointed
Customer Service is okay but this is the second time I have received a fake bill as changefrom them.
