Have to say..I had some initial reservations if not dread about going to buy a new mattress yesterday at MetroMattress in Olean NY..i feared the high pressure sales pitch & up sale. i couldnt of been more surprised & relieved upon meeting Shanon the stores manager..he was nice, pleasant & honest and 15 minutes later we were on our way out and out brand new mattress scheduled for the very next morning (today). we ended up buying a better mattress than we had planned because it was by far the best mattress for us not because it was up sold to us. Shanon was an absolute pleasure for start to finish and were so very thankful for our new incredible mattress!

Shannon lied about the frame that he sold. He told us it was one frame then sent a lesser frame. He will also not refund the money for the frame. He was rude when I called to try to get it corrected. He refused to correct it. It is pretty bad when you have to lie to people. I would never recommend anyone to go to this store.

On the first of February my husband and I purchased an adjustable queen sized bed frame from Metro Mattress. We received the bed frame on the fourth by delivery. Upon ordering the frame and discussing payment, we spoke to Shanan Lippert who at the time seemed very welcoming and professional. He provided us with a payment plan amount which was $158.00 a month which then we received a bill that was $319.00 that would come out of our account automatically. We would not have been as willing to work with a payment plan that was $160.00 over the original payment IF we were provided the proper information by Shanan in the beginning. This was not our first time being on a payment plan under progressive leasing and we never have had any issues up until this bed frame. When we received the bill and saw the amount, my husband and I went back to Shanan to discuss the amount difference and the only information he could provide was along the lines of, not recognizing us nor the conversation we had in regards to buying the bed frame. Shanan and I specifically had a conversation about the amount not being over $160.00 as that was the amount I could work with, and nothing higher. And now he has no reconciliation of us as customers or even any reason as to why my payment doubled and that he has no ability to control what the finance company does which I can understand that he doesn’t, but why provide us with a different amount knowing we were only able to purchase the frame at this fixed cost? We feel a little deceived by Shanan as they have NO return policy and I am stuck with something I cannot afford. Customers should be able to have trust in their salesman when given an amount that automatically gets taken from my account. I would have much rather been told sorry, a payment plan in my budget couldn’t be offered to me VS now being stuck with a payment plan that has me in a position that I shouldn’t be in due to Shanan wanting to make a sale.

The Salesman was very knowledgeable and guided us to the right product based on our requirements. That saved us time and gave us confident enough, to not have to go other places to check other product and prices.

I was excited that I was going to get a new mattress and box spring. I was talking to the salesman about needing a split box spring and he talked to me about getting a box spring that lift on top and bottom. We talked about the price and how that would be better and I wouldnt have to worry about the split box spring. Then I talked to him about how the metal frame.would attach to my existing headboard and he told me I could get a kit for $30 and the guys that delivered it would put it all together. Then he told me it was only $20 to take the old mattress and box spring. Then the salesman says that would be $750 plus tax and you could have it delivered this Thursday. I was all for it and hand them my debit card to finish the sale. Then the Manager ( I assume it was manager) was going over the invoice with me and he started out the mattress is $799. I said no I was told $699 and the manager said I can show you the paper and we walked over and he started showing me the paper I was told with the $699 and then he showed me a different paper and told me I could get a regular box spring for $699,but not the one I was told about. So now he tells me I know he told he $799 I heard him say it several times to you. I was like no he told me $699 and it was up to $750 plus tax when he was done. I was lied to and they added an extra $100. I told them I dont like to be lied to. The salesman just.looked away and said I cant go any lower. If they would of just admit they did wrong instead of lying, I would of bought it even for the extra $100. I just told him to void the sale and I left. Seriously, lying doesnt get you any where. The manager wanted to argue with me and I actually fault bad for the salesman, because he had a sale until the manager screwed it up. Hopefully, this enlighten people on how this company operates.
