I feel lucky to live in such a special little corner of Washington. Boston Harbor is only 8 miles from the heart of downtown Olympia. This is a local favorite, super popular in the summertime. You can rent kayaks and paddle boats. Grab all your supplies you need for fishing. We love coming out for a day trip as it isnt far from our home.People need to remember though that this is a residential area where people live. So be respectful of where you park your cars. If you visit the store dont park in driveways or block people.
Great spot! Food or ice cream or a cold beer on the docks, launch for boats and kayaks, good atmosphere
The people were super chill and helped us dock. Also was complimented on my self serve ice cream skills when I outperformed some ex dairy queen employees
Very beautiful spot on the south sound. Docks are in funky shape but they are renovating a little at a time. Busy during the day with boaters of all types coming and going. Quiets down nicely in the evening. Funky docks or not, I liked the place and thought it very engaging.
These guys are fantastic. Great price on my favorite beer Fosters Dark. I lost my keys after a kayak trip to Hope Island and was stranded for a whole day and night. They were courteous and compassionate not like I was intruding on some private yacht club as I lurked around all grungy from my trip. My only complaint is for the Mothers Days brunch they did not allow seconds, the quiche was so delicious I wanted to take the whole pan! A great homey atmosphere, I recommend it for an outing for the entire family.
Great views and great picnic like atmosphere very close to Olympia. After enjoying a very nice road (specially if you are a biker), you can sit facing the Sound having a beer, a glass of wine or a soda. And if you feel brave enough there is a small piece of beach where you can swim!
We have been coming to Boston Harbor Marina for 5 years. Each time we purchase kayaks, ice cream for the kiddos, and soft drinks/beer. We always clean up after ourselves and have never had an issue.Unfortunately your new rule (which wasn’t announced on Facebook and we were not aware of) of no outside food or drink was poorly enforced today by someone with a poor attitude. We love this place but we will no longer patronize the business. What a shame that the $100’s of dollars we spend here each summer will be lost to Boston Harbor. We will be taking our group else where.
Very nice place to go and relax by the water; watch the boats. Very friendly staff. The food in the snack bar is not that good; maybe making some other types of food would be nice: hamburgers. Nice cold beer is great!
Great place to go kayaking I love it!!! The only thing I have to say is parking is very limited and such a pain so if u live far away from there I suggest going earlier in the day. Otherwise its a great place to go out on the water if u have a kayak or any type of boat 🚤🚤🚤🚤🛶🛶🛶🛶🛶🛶🛶.
The guys there are EXTREMELY hot 10/10 would go again
We drove all the way out here just because the place looked unique, intereating, etc. We were not disappointed at all! They have everything from food and alcohol to local gifts and locally-made crafts. I am looking forward to taking the Sandman Tugboat here for drinks next time they do it! I only subtracted a star due to the difficult parking situation. Next time I may arrive by water.
This is an awesome marina. Friendly people and great rentals. Good food. Incredible beerbqs Friday nights. Great place year around. Dont forget the ice cream.
After a day of Kayaking in Boston Harbor as a family, my daughter age 4 and my son age 8, needed to use the restroom. We went to the public restroom at the Marina. My son ran to the car quickly to grab a towel. Upon his return he was accosted by a local women and her son. She told him he could not go in. I opened the door to let him in and the women yelled at me too. My children quickly finished using the restroom. Upon exiting the local woman asked are you from around here? are you a local? because this is for locals only. Needless to say we will never go back to Boston Harbor despite living in Olympia for over a decade. We will stay in our town that is much more accepting of ALL people locals or visitors. This was such an awful experience. I will never return to this Marina/restaurant and I will never refer anyone here as well. If you are not a local you are not welcome in Boston Harbor per one of their locals own voice.
Great place to come with your family for a day at the beach has a snack shack that closes at 8pm, you can purchase adult beverages. Has a cover and a wooden deck. There is a boat launch nearby so that you can launch your boat into the Puget sound.
Comfortable marina with outdoor seating and great views. Enjoyed a fabulous bottle of french white wine at the Friday night beer-b-que. Bluegrass music, friendly locals, make this a choice getaway on the water.
The staff were friendly and courteous when I called ahead to reserve five kayaks, and again on Saturday when my party of five showed up to paddle. The weather started out to be worse than expected that morning--the staff even gave us the option to cancel our reservation for no charge. I am glad we perservered because the weather improved and we had a great time.
Such a cool spot. Hang on the beach, bring your kids or the dog, grab a beer in the tap room. Top notch!
Goodish food, not excellent, but good.Great beer selection!Staff is friendly. Atmosphere congenial. Its a Marina open to the Public.Personally, I dont like sitting next to smokers while Im trying enjoy my meal, they allow this.No designated smokers area, dogs run off leash mostly, but this sometimes causes problems. The moorage is ok in most of the marina.Large wakes on the front dock can trash your boat, use plenty of large fenders! Its a area of lots of rainbows. Stay long enough youll see one for sure.Been going here for years, no disappointments.
Great place ive been coming too for years. good location, good parking, snackbar, boat ramp, the only thing i dont like is their fuel dock. someone has to be there with you. i miss the old system.
Excellent view, staff has always been helpful and polite, and love the whole area up there! Ive always felt welcomed and the Sunday morning breakfasts in the summer are AWESOME!
Small marina great location and great views. We had a good time.
Big fun! Kayak/paddle board rentals, good food, outdoor seating, fuel dock & moorage close to Olympia.
Amazing view and great staff. If your looking for a place t o hang out with your friends and dogs while having a beer and food this is the place
Excellent bike ride from Olympia with a reward at the end; sitting on the deck overlooking the marina.
We went kayaking there then eat. It was a very pleasant experience.
Great place to keep a sailboat; great place to stop or visit when cruising the south sound. Good selection of wine and beer.
Amazing local Marina. Always a welcoming, beautiful time.
Love this place! The staff are all amazing...and dont miss the clam chowder!
Music, food and good people. Love it!
This place is an embodiment of the Boston Harbor area. Excellent freshly harvested sea food!
Good collection of branded merchandise and friendly staff.
Beautiful. Helpful and Courteous Staff
Music at the Marina with No-Li Brewing was a blast.
Web site said open to eight.... Sorry not pumping gas today, oh great . Guess one cannot count on Boston Harbor for fuel.
