Beautiful day in Olympia at the marina, where summer is still in the air but once the sun goes down you can feel that fall is on the horizon. We love walking the waterfront and the marina, so peaceful. My only complaint is the restrooms are not able to be accessed unless you are a member. Make a public access bathroom easy to use, even if limited hours and then Id give 5 stars easily.
Just had to deliver a trailer superr nice people there great place to have your boat done.....
Gorgeous marina. Nice location and wide, stable cement docks. Easy access pump-outs. Clean, coin-op showers. Competitive slip pricing. Ample parking for boaters. Green marina certification with convenient recycling for boat fluids. Love the proximity to Olympia’s year round farmer’s market and close to restaurants. Very friendly neighbors. Some of the staff is awesome and others can be officious. The water in this part of the sound can be a bit rank at low tide. Great point to launch your south sound exploration.
Swantown Marina is a friendly community of boaters and staff, families and singles, dogs and cats, and surrounded by water and wildlife. A walking path goes right through the marina, leading to a small park overlooking Budd Bay at one end (with the Hearthfire happy hour just a few steps further), and downtown Olympia in the other direction. You can also walk to the Farmers Market, or catch a bus to the state Capitol (buses are free!).The marina has clean, secure bathrooms, shower rooms, and laundry rooms. Several recycling stations. Locked gates to full-time resident docks. Fuel and waste pumpout dock. Even a small dock for seaplanes.
Night security man was so awesome. 3ven the other patrons were friendly. I didnt expect that.
Friendly staff. Menu variety is good.Could portion up on on the fish part of fish n chips for the price.
Open to the public with amazing views. Good pricing
Great facilities. Cleanest bathrooms on planet earth. Staff performance is fantastic. Thanks from Mobile Detailing by Mike
A safe & quiet place to watch those sunsets from inside or outside of your car. Take photos, stroll or the path. Life. Enjoy it to the fullest. This giant parking lot lets you do that- by yourself and never alone ♡
They will kick you out of the area any time of day or night. Highly discriminative forces at work here.
It is a great place to take a walk it feels safe and nice to watch boats get launched
Cool boats wish I had money to buy one to play on
Nice shower 25¢ for three minutes.
My favorite place to go sit and enjoy the beautiful views.
Swantown is an excellent, clean, well-run half-mile long marina . The docks are solid and clean and host vessels as small as kayaks and tenders to massive 100 foot behemoths. The management team and professionals that run this marina are very helpful and quick to serve. The Internet WiFi signal and bit rate are good all the way to the end of the docks. There is easy access to ample shore power. The restrooms and showers are as clean as youll find at any marina. This is a great place to moor up and step ashore with an easy walk to historic downtown Olympia dining, entertainment, and shopping.
Great service on the fuel dock...
To expensive 800 pull it out 200 a day max length at water line 50
Brought lunch and ate with friends. Nice views. Lots of walkers.
Beautiful location! Dont know otherwise.
Very good launch facility and parking
Guest dock. WiFi poor to non-existent. No security gate. Excellent docks, with easy access. Clean restrooms. Large old fisheries vessel moored at end of dock with power tools going a lot, not much peace and quiet! Short walk to Farmers Market and Percival Landing.
If you need a boat hauloutthey have a monopoly...if boat is bigger than 36 ft. well they dont act like a monopoly, the workers are courteous and helpful. and great community in the yard
Very nice, clean Port facility. Multiple pumps for fuel and pump out which is open 24 hours a day! Good price on fuel too!
This is a really peaceful place. Great to spend time out looking at the water and the variety of boats. Be sure to check out Freedom boat club when you are here.
Great place to mull around, fresh air nice views
Love the community here and the cleanliness and organization of the marina. Needs better security though.
ITS A SUPER PRETTY PLACE TO PARKAND EITHER, JUST RELAX OR TAKEA LUNCH, ITS JUST A NICE QUIET PLACE TO PARK.....AND MY PARENTS HAVE ALWAYS PARKED HERE TO DROP THEREBOAT
Very clean and always helpful!
One of the best marinas around. Just needs a store
There is nothing here within comfortable walking distance. Farmers market was not too bad but there prices were very high, but then there taxes are high too. There are no other shops in area of interest.
The people servicing the marina and fuel dock were very helpful and considerate. The space we were in had 220 volt service which was great. However, the water spigots were on the opposite side of the float. That meant running a hose across where people walked or having to use our own water tanks. That wasnt too bad but we still had to do the hose thing for an hour to replenish our water tanks. The other problem was the very poor WI-FI. It was virtually unusable. I spent a lot of time adjusting my antenna to be able to receive an intermittent signal. Very frustrating. Ended up using my phone as a hot spot which also was a bit spotty. Seems to me that the capital of our state should always have great WI-FI everywhere.
Has everything you need to be comfortable close to downtown great security very peaceful well lit well kept.clean laundry, bathrooms, and showers.
Better than other marinas. Get fuel pump out pull out do it all here
Great place to watch the sunset.
Nice marina with ample space for mooring. WiFi doesnt work. Pleasant staff.
This review is for our initial introduction to Swantown Marina. After four hours on the water, arriving hot, hungry, and needing a shower, we were told that we had to hand over $10 in cash for each fob we needed. No, they wont put it on our credit card, you have to have cash. And, cash is not available anywhere at the marina. You have to walk to the farmers market, which is a half a mile away, to get to the ATM, to get the cash so that you can give it to them for their fob so that you can take a shower and use the laundry. Were now having a nice lunch Anthonys HomePort and then were going to walk back and give Swantown Marina $20 so that we can get a couple fobs so that we can each take a shower and use the laundry.Correction: we walked back with the cash and its $20 per fob.Update: they didnt tell me that the $20 fob they gave me only works at the bathrooms at the end, so we wasted my time trying to get into the first bathroom we passed. This necessitated a walk back to the office to find out that the card that I have doesnt work in all the bathrooms in the marina -- just the guest dock.It might be useful to know that you need cash when you arrive at this Marina if you want to use any of the facilities that they advertise. Why dont they just hand you the fob and charge your credit card if you dont return it when you depart? Its really disappointing that this is such a poor introduction to what should be a nice Marina.PS: the showers are good. Clean and well-maintained. The grounds are neat and clean.
Great place to walk around
Very knowledgeable stuff always have what Im looking for
Big but beautiful, great facilities and ramp, full boat yards.
Yet another trouble-free launch and overnight in Olympia. Marina employee Steve guided us down the long low-tide ramp. He made time to help us in an unhurried, supportive manner. He encouraged us to ask for any other help that we needed. A community member, Richard, lends a hand at the dock also, and its much appreciated. Richard even managed to get a friendly response from my normally scared-of-strangers dog. Over the years, Ive stored up a lot of gratitude for Swantown Marina.
Nice marina with good security. The place is maintained and kept clean. Looks like the services for the location are professional and attentive to those docked there.
Very nice an open for a place to chill, not a lot of seat. I normally sit in my car an watch the boats & wild birds
This is the best Marina in Washington. Its a full Marina. It has a public boat ramp as well as a public parking lot, not to be confused with the private parking lots for the tenants. There is a new fuel dock as well as a pump out station. Its very quiet and always a nice time. There are also full boat repair and storage facilities available in conjunction with the Marina.
The woman who waited in us was great, although she did say wonderful a lot...
Love having lunch in the parking lot for the best view in Olympia!
Sound Rowers sponsors a paddling and rowing here every year on the second Saturday after Labor Day. The entry fee isnt much ($20) and you can choose either a short course (3.4 miles) or a long course (8 miles). The water is still warm, as summer is just barely finishing and all the paddlers are very friendly. Go do something fun!
Nice walk along the marina, lots of boats and birds.
Peaceful waterfront.
Swantown is safe and secure to store your boat. Friendly staff!
Great people, very clean marina and facilities.

Swantown is a great marina full of nice people! Been all over west coast and havent seen a more professionally managed and well kept marina!
A great place of tranquility and reflection. And world class views and sunsets. Decent rates if you have your boat docked as well.
Easy in and out for gas. Friendly folks!
This Marina is very clean and staff is great!. Not too difficult to get into just follow the buoys with the direction to come in. Your within walking distance of restaurants and farmers market (open Thurs thru sun 10-3 ).Great produce and awesome vendors.
Well staffed, maintained well - clean!!! The fuel dock that opened up this year is greatly appreciated, thank you.
Love the people down there and am looking forward to all they have to offer.
Swanton is a great, very clean marina with a nice boatlaunch, seaplane dock, boathouse, restrooms/showers and office. Overall a perfect marina for both casual and experienced boaters.
