Barnes and noble has so many things! Havent been there in years. Staff super friendly and many options. Very clean.

An employee and I won’t say names was rude regarding mask wearing. I was complying with policy and employee was harassing me about proper mask wearing when I was asking about a book. BUT when I told employee to raise mask to nose she was hostile and angry. Rules for thou but not for thee.

I love Barnes and this is no exception. Clean, great childrens section, and delicious food.

It’s a pretty basic Barnes & Noble. They have a good selection. It’s nice for big, cheap coffee table books and gifts.

I really enjoyed the selection of books they had. If there is a title you are searching for that they dont have they can order it for you. I also like the discount card you can purchase for $25.00. It pays for itself over time. Its so worth getting. The personnel are professional and happy to assist with any question or purchase you may have. You may also want to stop by the Starbucks Cafe to have drink or a treat on your way home.

This Barnes & Noble is one of the best ones Ive been to. The employees are very competent and nice. They were able to help find books from different areas of the store quickly. This Barnes & Nobles has a Starbucks inside and they make amazing drinks there and little cake things.

This is for the cashier and the lady that helped me. Harry Potter series was displaced in front, i was looking for a hard copy and the cashier said if they have it, it will be displayed there. My husband was also looking for a book, told me there is a HP series in the back. I couldnt find it so I asked the lady and she said they dont have it. When i found my husband, he showed me where it was. They had 2 complete hard bound copy of HP series. Never had this happend in any barnes and nobles we went to. Dont even try to look or make sure they dont really have it! Happend around 145pm today. Didnt buy the set, why would i give them my money.

Great workers! slight expense books but worth it

One of my favorite places on Earth lol I am so glad we still have one here. Not as big as the Northgate one, but still quite sufficient. Café is good. Sometimes there are authors reading and signing here. 😊

Always have been a B&N fan and on this day they happened to have several travel books deeply discounted which was exactly what I needed as I set out on a major road trip.It was a Monday morning and tbey were having issues with their point of sale system but everyone was very apologetic and offered me a coupon to the in-store Starbucks as a thank-you

They have a surprising amount of unique toys here.Its always fun to browse around. There is a coffee shop inside this particular location.My kiddos love the kids books section there is a few different spots to plop down and look at books together and there is also a train table for little guys who cant exactly read yet.My only criticism is the way they have their checkout line in the front of the store is cluttered up with shelves of merchandise and it makes for a weird line. Also, the registers are usually undermanned which is a little frustrating.

Always have what you want. Coffee and an amazing food. Food and Feast. With COFFEE ☕. What more could you want?

I was informed that the Americans With Disabilities act doesnt is not observed in theyre store. They practice discrimination openly, three different employees including the manager, the manager actually began to esclate, then raised her voice to get out. With the threat of trespassing me, the manager also said call the papers she didnt care, same response to an ADA complaint.

Went in west Olympia’s barns and noble today to shop with my sister . We have are in our early 40’s . We have been spending money here since we were teenagers. Today my sister was approached by staff members and accused of stealing . She offered to show that there was nothing in her purse or on her person that wasn’t hers. They declined to look. They just kept insinuating that she was stealing. No manager to speak with.These employees better check the cameras before they start accusing customers of stealing . This is why it’s easier to shop Amazon. We could have gotten the same product delivered for free for half the cost and not been accused of stealing.Don’t accuse people that support your employment.

The store was clean, well organized. Very busy, somewhat crowded. 6ft rule hard to maintain with narrow aisles. They seem under staffed, some the staff seems stressed and aggressive when approached. I had a hard time finding an employee that seemed free, or wanted to assist me. I finally did see someone that appeared to be free. I said excuse me, can you.. I was abruptly cut off and met with a harsh tone. She informed she was already helping someone, and they were all busy! I was told to just stand there and wait, someone will be around when they can! (Pointing to the information desk, that had 1 person on a lengthy phone call). I had been walking around 45 minutes. I couldnt find what I was looking for. I had a hard time finding anyone that was available assistance. Maybe hire more employees, or limit the number customers. Im sure she was having a bad day. My entire experience today really changed my perspective on the store.

This location was a really nice bookstore, appreciated the variety of books in stock and the cleanliness was top notch. Always enjoyed coming to Barnes & Noble to browse books and this is one of the better locations we’ve been to. The close proximity to other shopping in the area is also great. It was close to closing when we bought a book here and the workers were very accommodating and friendly despite the time it was. They also stock all kinds of comfort and study items like plush blankets, book bags, and Fjallraven backpacks. After we got our book we visited the Starbucks inside which offers a good selection of pastries and coffee. My drink came out pretty amazing and the barista also mentioned they offer discounts and perks to Barnes rewards members. Will definitely be back again sometime.

The staff are friendly and helpful. For a smaller Barnes & Noble, they have a decent selection. If they dont have it in stock, they can order it and have it in store for you in a few days.

Is a great place to find things to later buy on Amazon. Seriously though, come in, drink some coffee, shop around and buy something. Or they likely wont exist anymore.

Biggest bookstore in the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area. Worth a stop if you enjoy reading. Prices can be pretty high as everything is brand new. They have a Starbucks inside and sell kids toys and games. They also have some vinyl records, book bags, journals, notepads and other similar items.

Very clean and well organized store. They have awesome deals on books and the staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful.

An amazing selection of books with easy parking access. If you love to read then this store is a must!!!!

There are so many great reads here. I could spend hours reading and looking at the books. The food and coffee at the Starbucks are also tasty!

This is a great store. I typically bring my son with me and let him pick out his own books. They have a fantastic selection of kids books and toys.Also, the kids club and store memberships are awesome. The kids get a birthday treat from the Cafe and the membership saves you 10%, which can add up on some of the pricier toys.The staff is helpful and super friendly. I never have a complaint coming here.

I love this store. But I really miss the comfy chairs. Minus one star for no places to sit anymore. With nowhere to sit to decide what I want to buy, I ended up spending a lot less money.

View to your hearts content the seemingly endless choices of books, magazines, games, toys, and when your tuckered out rest with a cup of java in the built-in cafe. Yes everything is at full retail prices, but you also get very knowledgeable advice from book clerk who can help you get that just-right book because they know about the topic. Few shops anymore can be considered an experience in learning while shopping for self or others. Clean, organized, with friendly staff and tasty treats when you visit the cafe. Enjoy.

The employees are nice and helpful but the store is shabby and the bathroom is grubby. We have been coming here since it opened and would love to see it get a real cleaning.

Stopped by for a couple birthday gifts. We found the perfect stuffed animal and a poster to compliment it. The employees we spoke to were attentive and informative while we perused a few books for future purchases. Hope to stop in again soon. Thanks for being open during this lame covid stuff.

I would say 5 stars! But the service there is terrible. I am a bookAHolic😂 but I have only been in there twice and been on the phone to check on a book order. Those few times? The woman I have encountered are snobbish, rude & down right have a bad attitude! You would think because theyre working in a bookstore (🤪) that they would be in a little happier mood but no those women made me not want to come back and that is big for me.

Barnes & Noble is an amazing place to browse, shop, snack, and ready. I love that you can still hang out, sit in a comfy chair and read. Grab Starbucks and a snack and browse all day. It is like a library with food and that allows talking! It is conveniently next to Trader Joes, so you can grab groceries quite easily when you are ready to go home.

Books and Starbucks. I bought most of my favorite books from B&N. Great book store. Prices could be better but overall relaxing atmosphere. The store now features a wide arrange of toys and student supplies. The kid area is fun. The worst thing about this location is all the compact parking. With very few people driving compact cars I hate there parking lot.

Thank god that bricks and mortar book stores still exist, and this is a great one. I love to browse, hold a book in my hands, and read the reviews on the cover. Sure, you can get all of that online, but holding the thing in your hand is much more satisfying. And the service is great. Their staff will lead you directly to whatever youre looking for, and whatever it is, they probably have it. Also, a great selection of magazines.

Ive been a member for a little over 3 years and its worth it everytime. It may only be a small discount, but its nice to have since I read everything from Jane Austen novels to Black Butler manga. As well, the customer service has been wonderful:) When you request an order (which is common for me), its usually only takes a few days compared to the other stores where it takes a few weeks. All-in-all, I love the store!

They believe that only elder women dtill write letters. Their selection of stationery is lacking.

If you love books and coffee youll love this store. It doesnt just carry books though, it has games, journals, stationary, cards, bags etc. They also do monthly events so check out their event calendar. Ive been able to get a couple books signed this way, authors will come by so thats always fun. They have a huge childrens section with books and toys. I highly recommend coming here and supporting this store.

Miss Hastings but sometimes catch myself here. Decent and can be spendy but you can find deals.

One of the last book stores. Friendly staff and good selection of books. If you cant find a book ask. They maybe able to order it for you. There is a cafe which is a good spot to sit and study, read or meet up with friends or family.

The days of big bookstores seem to have been numbered so it was nice to see this location still going strong. The selection was enormous an enjoyed browsing through all the different sections. Our 8 year old daughter enjoyed picking out her favorites and even got a toy as well!!

We love this place. It’s warm, inviting, clean, and friendly. We could browse for hours. Staff is consistently helpful. Was just there the other day, and the cashier went out of her way to make conversation with each customer in line. She helped me get my membership set up. My son goes directly to the train table. They did have a LEGO table but I couldn’t recall it being there the last time. With Toys r Us gone I found myself doing a lot of toy shopping here because the items are high quality and unique.

Upon my own personal search I was very unsuccessful in what I thought was a no brainer. Then I approached a B & N employee and in no time flat she found the item Id been searching for. It always pays to ask first. I was totally pleased!!!

One of my all-time favorite book stores. Ive spent many hours browsing the aisles here and often end up buying several more books than I intended. Sometimes, I am on mission to find something specific and the customer service desk is always very helpful. Although there is often a waiting line at checkout, it does move quickly. All in all, a great store!

Wide & varied book selection. Nice cafe to sip & munch. A gathering place for some locals in the cafe. Well managed and staffed by quite knowledgeable, well-read & friendly employees.

This store has a great selection and if they dont have the book you are looking for, they will make sure to get it for you, lowest price possible! The booksellers are friendly and I love the cafe staff. Even on busier days they are really helpful but not pushy.

Im pretty sure cause of covid there were not that much workers to provide assistance but the cashier was so nice and patient. I found what I was looking for and more.

This is my favorite place to buy books. Im a book lover that needs real books with pages, thats the best way to read. There is a huge selection here, and a huge kids section too. In the kids section theres a train table with toy trains and train tracks for kids to play with. My kids love it. There is a Starbucks inside, and a seating area that is great for studying.

A great book store

Great atmosphere and place to hang. They allowed me to charge some of my devices while the power was out throughout parts of the town. This is more than a bookstore and provides places to sit and find if you like a book first.

This place is wonderful, going here always feels like home, it sounds weird to say that about a bookstore but I love going there. Last time I went was to get my daughter some books - I got her Guess how much I love you and Dragons Love Tacos which are both a couple of her favorites and will be able to last through out her childhood. Thank you for having a wonderful, diverse collection of books for children of all ages.

This place is by far the best place for new books and educational toys for kids. My kids love the dr Seuss area and the backpacks they sell!

Its not really a bookstore anymore. More than 50% of the square footage was non-books. Wandered the store for a good 20 min looking for Christmas presents and want greeted by a single employee. Guess Ill be buying online.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Clean and easy to be here. This is a smaller store so I have to order the book I want about 20% of the time.

Feels like home

B&N will always be a destination for me and book stores in general. Despite many complaints I have heard about them diversifying into toys and gift product they are still the perfect physical store for new bestselling books at a discounted price. If you shop for books regularly then it also helps if you sign up for the email coupons or buy a membership. I know every store has a membership nowadays but if you are buying anything there then it will go a long way to making your book habit more affordable.

Awesome place to take the kids even if you dont want to spend $$. They have a cool little play place and stage in the back. Lots of stuff to tinker with and even read to the kids while youre there. Prices are high, but any book you can imagine and some store specific/unique toy sets for sale.

Please dont close brick and mortar. There is Nothing like sitting in a book store, sipping hot chocolate and if youre lucky, sitting by the fire place ❤️

The cafe is a wonderful place to work or study. The background noise is minimal and the staff are helpful. Keep in mind if you bring a laptop there are not very many plugins available. However there is free WiFi.

A nice store. Well organized and a great selection of audio books on CD, including those in the well appointed kids section.Within is a store-owned Starbucks so dont plan to use your app, gift cards or star rewards.

Helpful staff and abundant selection, but the parking lot streets are narrow and often tightly packed.
