Just got the opportunity to go here for the first time, about a week ago. Not only did the person working there remember me from a call I had made several months before, but she went out of her way to save a signed book for me from my favorite author! Such a great shop and customer service was amazing! Thank you!!

Many books, good organization, found everything I needed and so much more

Coming from out of town I knew I needed a bookstore stop to get settled for my weekend on the coast. I was very impressed with the COVID regulations and ease of moving through the store. HIGHLY recommend going here :)

Browsers Bookshop in Olympia is nearly the perfect place to find the right book or gift. The space is interesting, bright and appealing. The shop caters to every preferred genre. Newly released titles are well stocked. Staff recommendations are excellent. A small collection of very old and well liked titles is also available.Proprietor Andrea Griffith obviously takes pride in her bookshop as evidenced by her creative use of space and the fact that she hires helpful, well-read assistants.

Ill be honest, Ive dropped off reading actual books for the last several years despite being a bookworm since birth and Ive been struggling to find books that interest me in larger chain stores. Stepping into Browsers felt like walking into a bookstore curated specifically for me and I ended up creating a list of over 10 books to read just from browsing. The employees have plenty of good recommendations and it was hard to leave with just one book. For the first time in a while I have books to look forward to! Also, the art in the store is definitely something to check out!

This bookstore was to die for. So cute.The two employees behind the counter were friendly and enthusiastic. They were helpful to every customer that had questions.I loved their selection of books and gift giving items. I purchase 2 cards, an Indigenous children’s book, and a fictional paperback book for myself.I highly recommend stopping in here, even just to browse their beautiful selection and art.Also: I recommend joining their rewards program.

9/11/2020 1pm: I am in quarantine and called to see if this store had books on my recommended reading list. The lady on the phone was condescending and dismissive. Hanging up on me to deal with a customer. I gladly would have waited on hold. I can’t imagine a bookstore having a worse customer service experience. Not one to leave reviews. However, this employee left a bad taste in my mouth.

Great real bookstore!! Found an old book that Ive been looking for forever! It even smelled like to ones from the days past.

Knowledgeable staff and fun to browse the little shop. They have taken covid precautions very seriously. Even offer curbside pickup.

It is wonderful to actually have a good local bookstore. They have a good selection and they can order what they dont have. They are very friendly service and the atmosphere is quite chill. Please support this brick and mortar community bookstore.

Every time I am in Olympia I make a point to come to this book store. It is so homey and welcoming and the staff choices are always interesting and well chosen. I have been coming here since I was in high school and they never fail to bring optimum service with and ideas variety of topics! If you love books youll love browsers!

A gem in downtown Oly. We could spend all our $ here-great selection of new and used books. The whole family enjoys a shopping trip here. There are also some great events and book signings.

I love finding bookstores in cities I visit. This little nook has a selection of everything that a book browser would look for. I had to stop myself after collecting a stack of literary treasures because I would have to carry them back to the office. I could have spent the whole afternoon reading... Just a few books.

I love this place the staff are so sweet and kind. Theres a great selection of books. the atmosphere its so welcoming and cozy. This cozy shop is like The Shop Around The Corner from Youve Got Mail. The new owner Andrea is brilliant, informed and has a great vision for the place. Theres a wide array of books available especially classics but lots of fiction and non fiction. Theres also a growing array of new books and the owner is happy to order you whatever you need. I really love that the store supports local authors! A true gem! If youre a book lover, stop in.

A small bookstore with quite the selection of books! Peaceful environment. They were out of stock on Dune so they offered to order it for me.

Really well curated selections for each of the genres / categories. Both my spouse and I loved the staff picks and noted books in pretty much every area of history, fiction, philosophy, science, etc. I could easily kill an hour or more in here.

I walk around downtown Oly a good deal, rarely will I pass Browsers w/out entering. They have an amazing selection of new and used books and it is a beautiful space to sit and enjoy your book. They also have many events in the 2nd story space.

I love Browsers. They have a great inventory of used and new books, and if they dont have what you are looking for, the staff is more than willing to order it for you. When taking in books to sell, they are so reasonable with the value. Also, locally owned. Definitely the best bookstore in Olympia.

Favorite indie bookstore in all of Olympia. Absolutely love their remodel, and the selection is always interesting and never the same as what you might see in a bigger chain like Barnes and Noble. Its always fun to come in and find something unexpected. The booksellers are very kind and knowledgeable too, cant wait to attend some of their new book events in the newly renovated space.

Looks small from the outside, but once you walk in youre greeted with a wide selection of books and cozy atmosphere that makes you want to browse forever. There is an upstairs with used books giving you the option to read older books and also chairs and tables where you can read. Im from out of town and its always nice to see a place unique like this when traveling.

Great little book store, lots of staff picks signs to help you get a feel for the new literature. Staff is a bit stand offish. I always feel a bit like a burden walking in, even when I dont need help. Great selection, very well organized, not too expensive.

Bibliophiles will be in heaven in this small shrine to the written word. A lovely combination of new and old books awaits. The featured selections are different, thought-provoking. The childrens section always has some new gem for me. Rounded out with lovely gifts and an excellent staff, this space is so inviting - I dare book lovers not to be smitten!

When I did a search for used books Browsers came up. We done to Olympia especially to come to the store. The selection of used books is minimal at best. Were used to used books stores having a large selection especially of kids books. Sure was eclectic but not what we needed.

Nice store for new and used books in downtown. Surprisingly large variety of topics, fiction and non-fiction. Average pricing with some exceptional buys. The accep trade-ins for store credit, but are picky on condition (which is good thing).

Absolutely wonderful staff, awesome selection of books, and they will order the ones they dont have! They are always eager to recommend books and have reports for books that have been read....

They are still reorganizing their stock after switching some things around but some books out of order aside, it is the coziest little bookstore you will find in downtown Oly. Very diverse stock and an ample staff rec area. Local gifts for anyone just needing some cards or nature guides to the Evergreen state. Also one of the oldest indie bookstores in Oly so go on in and load up to get the free tote.
