Stopped in while wandering around downtown Olympia today. The employees are friendly and greet each individual customer who enters the store. Compass Rose is beautiful and carries a wide variety of eclectic pieces- ranging from jewelry, stationary and cards, camp and kitchen items, candles, and more. I purchased a little bit of everything and am so happy I stopped in!Come check them out. ✨

What a great shop! There are lots of cute and quirky things perfect for a variety of occasions with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I bought Soap for morning people (Smells like a hell no), and when I told them it was a gift, they wrapped it and my other purchase in matching ribbon!

I visited this gift shop for its collection of postcards and greeting cards. I found some very nice postcards to send to my family and friends.

Ive been shopping here for years. Ive, literally, have dozens, of these snazzy paper bags stashed around my house! Although the vibe of this place has changed a bit in the last few years and the prices have gone up, its still my favorite shop to buy gifts in Olympia. They have some nifty local Olympia and PNW themed gifts and a fantastic, unique selection of cards for every occasion.

This store is dangerously fabulous! You will literally love everything... EVERYTHING. Perfect place to find unique gifts and cards, jewelry, candles, stickers, clothes, kitchen items and everything in between. The ladies here are always so friendly and helpful! I stop here as often as I can, their stock is always changing.

Absolutely lovely store and people! I came in looking for a necklace. I explained my style of jewlrey (specifically wanting a moon) to a wonderful sales associate hoping to find something just right. After trying on a few pieces I was intrested in that were not hitting the mark, Elizabeth went online and found a piece of jewelry that was absolutely perfect from their Tacoma store. She took my info down to let me know when they would be able to receive it. Not even 15 minutes later I recieve a call on my cell phone and email letting me know that they would have it the very next day!I appreciate her thoughtfulness and the can do attitude of this store. I highly recommend this establisment and thier employees to anyone and will be back.

I love this store so much. Im pretty sure Ive never walked out without spending $50 on stuff that I definitely didnt need but that has continually brought smiles to my face when I use it. My favorite place to buy amazing gifts for friends and family, for sure.

They stayed opened after closing time to help finish up my purchases. Gift wrapped all my gifts. Would recommend this cute shop to anyone who likes boutique items and unusual things you wouldnt find in a regular gift shop. I loved everything I got and my family loved the gifts I brought back from there.

Adore this little gem. My friend and I were playing tourist for the day and happened upon this shop. Very nice selection of home goods and gifts. Some items are very pricey, but they also had some reasonably priced things too. Reminded me of a cross between an Anthropologie and a Fireworks gift store.I ended up buying some fancy, local honey from the kitchen area. Its delicious.

Loooooooove! Love the staff love the stuff love the owners love it all. An excellent landmark in Olympia. They have been around for 20 years and are constantly improving and changing, while staying the same. They stay relevant, which is so important in a small town like olympia.

Great store with a really cool atmosphere. Sometimes the items are more money than I would really want to pay for them but its a great place to go when you need gift inspiration or need to pick up something nice for a gift or for yourself.

I REALLY loved this place and was a frequent local shopper. However, during my most recent visit I was made to feel like they viewed me as a suspected shoplifter. I imagine they have a shoplifting problem...but, I was really insulted by the way it was handled. Wont be back.

Compass rose recently went through a renovation turning it from my favourite little shop to discover house wears, stationary, toys and other odds and ends into a pretty generic and conservative shop. I am disappointed
