I was there on Monday. There was nothing on Google or on the website that said curbside only. I was met at the door by the most condescending, patronizing woman. I have a gift card that I drove an hour to spend. I have the receipt and I really just want my money back. Ive been shopping at radiance for decades but not anymore

I’m giving one star because heather was awesome. Unfortunately I spoke with Sara the purchasing mgr. Who said I couldn’t make a return with a receipt simply because I changed my mind. I actually needed to make the return because I suffered hypokemia and nearly died this past weekend so Dr. Said I should not use it. of which I took just 2. I was asking for store credit not cash back. I always though there was grey in life. I won’t be returning.

Remember going to the candy store when you were like 10 years old after getting your allowance? This place offers that same thrilling soul-level experience, only for grown up people who tend toward the witchy and wild, alternative + holistic, herbal + magical. Crystals, pendants and jewelry, dry herbs, essential oils, tinctures, cosmetics, supplies for making your own infusions and body care products, gifts … the staff is mostly incredible especially those who have been there forever. They know things and willingly help and share their wisdom. They have helped me find what I needed to heal my body my heart and myself many times. So grateful for this place

I had a wonderful massage today from Brookelle. She was informative, friendly, and very good at her craft. She used a variety of techniques to alleviate the pain I was having. I cant wait to go back!

Had treatment oriented from work today from Brookelle. I asked for specific types of technique hoping for some pretty specific results. I got skill, knowledge and more results than expected. Oh and she has the kind of deep connected touch that can make intense treatment techniques feel pretty good. My pain levels are waaaaay down tonight, range of motion is vastly improved as well as strength. High recommendations for this woman and who is on her way to becoming one of the masters.

I grew up going here and never knew how spoiled I was.IPDATE FOLLOWING THE REPLY:Called and explained my experience and the gloves are now available for those who need them as an alternative!ORIGINAL:That said. Following COVID they have required shoppers to use hand sanitizer (which not everyone can use). I said I was just picking up and did not need to touch anything. They said “no go”. When I have asked for gloves I was met only with shock and rude awkward loud comments, they got the manager, instead of just giving me gloves. And here is where it got weird. The manager lied to my face, stating that they are required by the state to require shoppers to put on sanitizer.This is a blatant lie. THE LIE, more than the requirement and the rude treatment was the shocking part of this. (I hardly expect a metaphysical shop to ‘follow the science’)After being given gloves, one employee made a spectacle of my not using sanitizer to a group of customers just entering. Just bad form.COVID is not spread via fomites, it’s amazing seeing someone in this very store wearing a non’ regulation ‘belly dancer’ style mask while slathering their hands. The sanitizer won’t stop COVID, and neither will the silly mask. (I wear a regulation mask 😷)Wont be shopping here again, on principle. I work in customer service. I have dealt with actual no mask deniers, and I treated them with more humanity that was shown to me here.But really tremendous product!Tuesday (I hope I remembered their name correctly) has a positive attitude and is very nice.Prices are MORE than reasonable for the amazing quality. I love this store. I get most of my candles, bulk herbs, and gemstones here. I was pretty sad today though when I got home with my purchases and found that the stone I got, a nice little piece of chrysocolla/malachite, had a sticker on it that pulled off pieces of the softer malachite.Hopefully they can figure out a better way to price pieces like this so that they don’t get damaged.

Ive always loved this shop and have frequently visited and purchased items from here, from jewelry to books. However, I recently called into the shop to inquire about employment as it seems like it would be a pleasant work environment. The employee that answered the phone was extremely short and clearly not happy that I had called in. Of course I would prefer to make introductions face to face, but with the hazard of covid I thought it would be more considerate to check that they were hiring at all before I attempted to bring in a physical resume. I even tried to communicate this but the woman on the phone interrupted me to tell that should have brought a cover letter into the store, even though they arent hiring. She then hung up in the middle of me telling her to have a nice day. Probably wont bring my business here anymore.

I have been going there since the 70s, and still love Radiance!!! After shopping for spices, herbs, sage to burn and wow, just too much to list, We usually end up at the 5th Avenue Sandwich Shop, for a perfect lunch and some of Hollys pie... Perfect pharmacy for herbs and plant medicine! It’s really cute and clean - energetically as well as physically. Well-organized. Plenty of space to peruse and not jam-packed. They have a wide variety of high-quality eclectic, metaphysical mix. They have a broad selection of candles and incense.

Warning: Like most places downtown any major city, parking is terrible. Theres only like two spots right outside their shop. Youll most likely have to park blocks away and walk.This place reminds me of metaphysical shops. Essentially Id like to say thats what it is. Though they may go by different descriptors.I went here to get an Amber teething necklace for my baby girl. They sell beautiful high quality ones by Mama Goose at a reasonable price (I paid $26 for my daughters, it had rose quartz on it as well) I also purchased some natural teething medicine.They have many handmade goods, as well natural baby care products and items made from recycled materials. The herbs they sell are in bulk, you get to measure your own amounts. There is a very earthy feel to this place.I didnt get to go towards the back, and really only saw the front of the shop. I would like to go back to fully explore it so I can leave a more thorough review. Ill update this when that happens, but with how tricky the parking is, it may be a while (or I might bus next time).

Used to love coming to this place even though the prices are way too high, but recently I had one of the most disrespectful phone calls of my life because of a lady who works here. Funny how a place named Radiance has such negative and lackluster employees.

Beautiful store, my personal second favorite herb store. (Tinsing momos in Pikes Place has been seated in the #1 spot since finding it 24 yrs ago) Amazing service, moast everything is fairly priced and the herb selection is very impressive. They only lacked 3 out of 10 of the herbs i was after and 1 of those they were just out of but carried normally. Message is available but i cant speak to that part of the business. Highly recommend for Herbal and metaphysical supplies.

I moved to the area about a year ago and was thrilled to find this shop. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and they have a great selection of herbs, books, crystals, candles, and much more.

Radiance has been at this location for over 40 years. Its known for its herbs and its massage practice. The G maps and website show the herb display clearly. Massages are at pretty standard rates.

I made a call to this place after I bought a book about Witchery and another about crystals. The nicest woman named Heather answered, told me all about their spring and fall classes (which I had asked about), and then after I told her the name of the book, she researched it to find out more of the specifics to help guide me to the information I needed.I made a trip down to the store and picked her out -- I just knew she was the one Id talked to. She was SO knowledgeable about everything in the store and even gave me a tour, asking me questions about my interests and guiding me to things she thought Id like. She never once pushed me to buy anything... she was just super helpful and really nice to me.I ended up getting exactly what I needed (and then some because this store has SO much cool stuff in it). Its not very often you find such stellar customer service in Olympia, especially from somebody who is clearly knowledgeable and in the right line of work. Highly recommend.

Ive been here before for their awesome shop- rocks, teas, oils, salts....what else could a girl want?! We ALWAYS stop here while in Olympia to browse.But this review is specifically for their massage. My SO and I decided to take a weekend to/for ourselves and enjoy some of the gems that are in our backyard (we are from Aberdeen, WA) and every time we do this, we go and get a massage first-thing to set the appropriate relaxed/relaxing mood for the following day(s). Its a city; there are a lot of massage parlers available and Im sure theyre good. I landed here though after trying several other places (they either were closed, didnt answer, or didnt have the availability we needed).First of all; their COVID procedures are fair and commendable. Thank you for going the extra mile to adhere to them while also providing your services; we felt safe.Secondly; CHUCK is a bloody rockstar. I cannot overstate how amazing he is and the job he did. He asked some simple questions that blew me away because it was the first time I had ever been asked them!!! Asking if I prefered quiet or chit-chat?! As an introvert, are you kidding me?! That blew me away and was just so inclusive and thoughtful. He proceeded to explain what hed do, which areas needed attention or were sensitive (that had been something i had experineced before, but the way he then explained in detail what hed do was new to me), and brought out this vibrating machine that was also something Id never had others use before (it was blissful).I LOVED the way he manipulated areas of my body to get access to muscles and THAT was a totally new experience and it made me giddy and blew me away; smart, simple, and EFFECTIVE. This massage spot is not frilly; they dont offer all the extras other spas do, but they dont false advertise about it; theyre open about what they offer and dont. And this massage was probably one of my absolute favorites ever. I will be back for it. The folks are educated, talented, and DEDICATED to providing you the healthful-services you want and/or need.Thank you for an unforgettably fantastic experience.

One of my favorite local businesses in Olympia. Ive been to many herbal shops all over the country and this one sets the standard in many ways. The selection and quality of the herbs are wonderful, and their collection of herbal teas are my favorite tea blends ever (try the Luscious Licorice and Respiratory Tea in particular). I buy all of my massage product here (they offer a nice discount to professionals), as well as essential oils, tinctures, and supplements. My wife has bought jewelry, clothes, bags and hats, all of which she loves. Great floor staff and a knowledgeable and experienced massage staff as well. Only complaint is I wish they had a greater selection of green and black teas. But no matter--this is a true Olympia original. And it smells amazing inside.

Usually I love this place. I went in for a pre hike massage and had to leave immediately. They had two misters spewing scent. I wont ever go back due to chemical sensitivity . Ive been a radiance customer since 1982

This little store is such a treasure. I stop in here for many things.. books, crystals, jewelry, spices, inscence, candles, you name it. They also offer massages! The staff has always been so kind and helpful I will always stop by even if just to look. They offer a membership rewards program and an email service too- very neat for returning customers!

I am so glad that Olympia has such an established herb and health store. So many larger communities lack such a resource; Olympia is lucky. I can usually find what I’m looking for here, as long as it’s not too obscure. Their supplement section also has many thoughtful selections. I’m not really into the metaphysical stuff they have here, but it seems like a good selection. I’ve never had a massage here, so I cannot speak about this service.I would love to give Radiance 5 stars, but there are two issues. Number one: street parking is near impossible. I don’t live in town and have had to literally skip my visit more than once because it took over 15 minutes to find parking. I guess Radiance can’t do anything about this, but it’s frustrating at best. If driving, plan extra time for a visit; not the place to pop in and out of.Secondly, as many other reviews have mentioned, some staff members do not have good people skills, and tend to talk down to anyone who has a question they deem beneath them. There is definitely an air of elitist, “I know better than you, you poor misguided soul,” attitude. Some staff members are indeed outright hostile. Luckily, I know exactly what I need when I visit, so I can avoid speaking with the staff as much as possible. If I did have a question, I wouldnt feel comfortable asking anyone who works here.As a staple in the community, Radiance really needs to look at how they treat ALL of their customers. Maybe hire someone who might know a little less about herbs and a little more about how to smile and be warm with people. We want to encourage people to take their health into their own hands, learn about and use natural remedies. Attitudes like this will not further the cause.

Cool new age/spiritual/meditation type shop that we stopped in while visiting Olympia. The staff were very friendly and helped us bubble wrap some decorative stained glass we bought for our balcony. They have a huge selection of herbs and teas, larger than Ive seen at any other store like this. They have a really nice selection of candles too.

This is a great place to find crystals. If you are looking for a certain result, ask the staff and they most of the time will know exactly which crystals suite you. They provide massages, massage oils, natural make up and lotion, flower essences, meditation music, library of spiritual books, bulk herbs, bulk herbal oils, candles, religious statues. I dont generally write reviews, but having lived in Olympia most of my life, and having visited this store dozens of times over the years (most recently a week ago), I find the negative reviews published here literally impossible to believe. In other words, I believe theyre false reviews by interested parties (notice the names). The people who work at radiance are extremely kind and helpful. The prices for their very large bulk herbs and teas are VERY reasonable, and for essential oils and tinctures, theyre about 10% higher than Amazon, which is great for a real store with real people. Now, I can understand how someone who was window shopping with a cynical attitude could walk in and declare the store expensive, having only looked through the import gift side of the store, but overall, the claim that this place would sell snake oil, or is out to rip you off is complete BS, as is the claim of unsanitary conditions. I have never gotten a massage at radiance, but I would absolutely not hesitate to based on my REAL knowledge of the store.

This store has EVERYTHING you could want from herbs to hematite rings to chocolate to ginger candy! It smells good too. Very relaxing just to browse and look at things.

I live in Idaho now and when I go to Olympia I always try to go to Radiance for a massage and other great things they sell there. Now that those things (Herbs, and other natural remedies) are becoming more popular I shop other places. Radiance used to be my favorite store. The people were so helpful and kind you could spend hours in that store just looking and researching.It deffinatly has lost that quaint feeling. I have been in the store when I have heard the clerks gossiping about others. The energy has changed from the great store it used to be.

I came here for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend. I found the male staff member working tonight to be almost annoyed by my questions. Then when I was checking out he told me that Samsung Pay would definitely not work on their credit card machine even though I knew it should likely work based on the machine type. I have worked in the service industry too and know that sometimes customers can be super annoying, but I felt that my questions were pretty standard, and being treated like I was dumb for knowing that Samsung Pay would likely work on their device was unnecessary.Im giving them two extra stars for having the oil I was looking for, cool decorations, decent prices, and because the oil smells really good! If youre short tempered just chill or something instead of being rude to your customers. This is honestly the first place Ive been to in Olympia so far where the service wasnt super amazing.
