My wife and I love coffee. To surprise my wife after our wedding ceremony, I wanted to take her for a private cup of coffee before the insanity of the reception began. Kristina Lee of Nice Rollz helped me set up a secret surprise with Archetype on Farnam. Through her, I was able to rent the space after hours for a short 45 minute respite and Austin made my wife and I a couple drinks each. This small gesture gave us a beautiful moment to reflect on the wedding we just had and really made our day magic. Thank you Austin and Kristina

This is the best coffee roaster Ive found to date in Omaha! It compares to all the great roasters Ive visited all over the states in NYC, Florida, California, Arizona, everywhere! If you like coffee this is honestly your best option.

Good coffee good vibes would recommend parking is a bit tough and expect a wait but its a good place to go if youre in Blackstone in the morning.

I would have left 5 stars, but they really need to update their hours. It really upsets meeting plans when they close later than advertised. When the worker was informed their hours are incorrect, he shrugged his shoulders and stated the workers have been raising that issue.

Omaha is lucky to have myriad excellent coffee, and I love coming to Archetype for excellent coffee and an excellent work space.

Cute coffee shop.There was a small assortment of baked goods. When we went they did not have gluten free options though Im told sometimes they do.Ordered a decaf which tasted good, but I was still up until 3am.Staff was very friendly. Pricing inline with competitors.This bounces between a 4-5 star for me. If I find myself returning frequently I will bump it up.

Cute little place tucked away in the Blackstone district. Parking was a bit of a chore and it is not directly on Farnam. It is worth the trip. If you are buying whole beans they have a variety of flavored and varietals.

I love this place! It is a very calm place to relax, study, and enjoy a coffee. The coffee was great and the latte art was beautiful! Its a huge plus that they are in the Blackstone District as well because it is close to a lot of other amazing restaurants and cafes. Make a stop here for sure!

Seems like a really cool place. Coffee was totally okay, nothing special. For lattes, 2 flavors, vanilla and chocolate but only 1 with milk free option since they use dairy chocolate milk for that. Coffee is tasty and acceptable but not amazing.

I was in Omaha for three year and am Tokyo now. I’ve gone so many coffee shops in the world, but this place is still my best.

Very good consistent coffee with top notch flavor. I have bought coffee from a few roasters and havent found the quality to be the same as Archetype. Beans are fresh and shipping is quick.

Such a wonderful place to study, work or hang. Pastries are always amazing and I love their matcha lattes. The staff is always so friendly and nice. Coffee is wonderful. Its one of my favorite places to go. Cant wait for the patio to open up!

Ordered the pour over Kenyan and it was a well roasted and prepared coffee with a certainly unique service style, see attached photo. If its any indication of how they treat the rest of their coffees its well done. The pastry selection was what you could call minimalist, however the blueberry muffin was good. This is absolutely NOT a family friendly establishment, if you are a working professional, retiree, student, divorcee, married couple w/o young children, widow, widower, literally any person without children under the age of say I dont know, 16? This will be a great spot for you. Oh I drink my coffee black, but my partner takes coffee with cream and sugar, so I ask for sugar........well they dont have sugar, just pump this artisanal syrup from a bottle and voila. Coffee was great though

Beautiful setting, great for work or studying. I wasn’t very impressed by the coffee. I got an iced latte and it really tasted like a glass of iced milk with the tiniest splash of coffee. The employees were friendly. My other complaint is that the prices were insane! I ordered a large iced latte and it ended up being a total of $6.30! I would not pay that price for their mediocre latte again. Otherwise, love the Blackstone district, great shop, 5/10 coffee.

Archetype has some roasts that are absolutely fantastic! The Ethiopian and Mexican roasts are my favorites!

Very friendly. I got a vanilla cappuccino. It was hand made, very good. They also have homemade baked goods. I got the blueberry poptart. Poptart flavors vary. Again very good. Also dog friendly :)

Cool place … amazing coffee

I felt like a fish out of water. The atmosphere was not welcoming. The menu was limited and they dont even have caramel flavored coffee, which was surprising to me. Service was subpar.

Love this local coffee shop in the Blackstone area! Its got a great atmosphere, great service and the location has lots of natural light. Simple to choose from menu, but has an upscale feel to it! Delicious lattes!

As hipster as it sounds, this is a great place to go if you want a real cup of coffee. Before I went here I was so use to sugar/syrup/ cool whip stuff that when I got my order I was 1. shocked 2. confused and 3. in love.Personal bias towards the staff

If you havent been, head there now! Its one of the top coffee shops in Omaha. Youll get a real serious cup of coffee - they care about what is in your drink. I typically go here because it is a great work environment. If you run cold like me, bring a jacket because their AC is always blowing.

The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable and the pastries delicious. This my Sunday morning spot for a vanilla latte and biscuit with jam to get a jump start on the coming week.

I’m a simple man. I generally just get the house brew. At Archetype, though, their house brew is always terrific, with coffees from different places - Mexico, Brazil, and Kenya, for some - making a simple cup of coffee a singular pleasure. The place is always nice, and they are continually adding new things. Oh. And the homemade pop tarts? Really good.

Charming, trendy coffee shop in Blackstone. Super fun atmosphere, everyone was so light-hearted. Went on a late, Saturday morning with a friend and had to wait for seats to open up. Would not study there, but great place to catch up with friends. The lattes are worth the price.

When in Omaha visiting family we always stop at Archetype on our way from the airport to west Omaha. They produce some of the best beans for miles. Though my in-laws have a sub-par coffee setup especially their blade grinder, Archetypes coffees are forgiving. I can still whip up a solid cup from their beans. I usually take some back to TX with me even though I have some award winning coffee in my city too. Their in store coffee is great as they have knowledgeable and experienced baristas who can brew and pull shots really well . Had a cold brew dirty chai and hot drip and all were good.

Coffee where it counts. Archetype prides itself on delicious coffee made right. No fancy syrups or crazy flavors, just a simple menu with great blends. I got a simple drip and probably one of the best cups of coffee Ive ever had. The space is minimal, but that didnt stop tons of people from being there. Awesome place.

Coffee is excellent and servers are super nice. I know I can come here and it will be dependable of for a good latte or espresso. You probably wont want to stay here for hours as the chairs are more utilitarian rather than cozy. It is a bright place so I sometimes come for a brief stay with my newspaper.

Probably the best tasting coffee in Omaha, but Im not a coffee head. I just know I can drink it straight with no cream or sugar. The specialty drinks are good as well. The acoustics inside make it a little loud, but didnt bother me. Stop by when in Blackstone.

I would have to agree with other reviewers. This is a neat modern hangout with great coffee and service. It was busy when I was there, but thats part of a good vibe for me and coffee shops. A big part of going to a place like this is to people watch and take in the atmosphere. I will absolutely return to Archetype.

Nice place, went later in the morning and it was a full house of people. Coffee was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant. It is great to support local businesses, especially one helping to revive the Blackstone district and their new location on 13th St South of Pacific.

If you like really nice people and good coffee then go here. If you don’t like nice people or good coffee then don’t go here. They’re baked goods are super nice as well.

I usually stop here after I do a yoga class around the corner. I keep it simple with an iced americano, and it’s great every time. The biscuit sandwiches are always on point as well. It’s usually always a bit crowded here, so it can be a little noisy, but I don’t mind it much. If you’re looking for a good coffee in Blackstone, you can find it here.

This is the best place for Espresso drinks in this part of town. Not only do they extract the espresso perfectly, and roast their own (like nearby favorite Caffeine Dreams), but some nice latte art. Pour over also expertly handled. Theyre picky about their coffee, folks, and it shows!!!
