I have been here twice to conduct interviews. I will continue to come here for my personal and professional endeavors. The staff are all very nice and patient, the owners are amazing and work hard to keep the store in tip top condition. The Vegan ice cream is amazing and is made by Ted and Wallys. Highly recommend getting it or going to Ted and Wallys. The Tea trays are so cute and very well priced for how much you get. They seem to be very environmentally friendly and offer vegan options, gluten free options and are very knowledgeable on the products.

Been looking for a new coffee place in Omaha since moving from Denver. Myrtle & Cypress is exactly what Ive been wanting! The co-owners were behind the counter whipping up coffees with their own blend of sweeteners (sans refined sugars). They were so friendly and chatted with me about my favorite coffee shop in Denver that they had recently visited! I asked for some recommendations and landed on a white sage latte which is just wonderfully herbal and delicately sweet! The shop itself has large windows and beautiful natural light which must be a dream for the abundance of plants scattered throughout. The natural decor with wood floors, bamboo, macrame, etc give the place a boho/mid century modern vibe that is so welcoming. Happy to be cozied up here with one of their many specialty lattes again in the near future.

I would definitely recommend the brown butter caramel latte. It is very smooth finished with a light sprinkle of salt.My group enjoyed everything they ordered. The barista will guide you.Pastry offerings change all the time. Donuts range from $4-4.50 on the day I wentI ordered the 2 that are $4.50. the peanut butter one and the chocolate with spirulina center (strawberry on top)They have gluten free options, vegan and even keto items. The milk offerings are house made almond, cashew, half (almond) half (cashew) and local organic milk. The avocado toast is a good pick. Small portion but the price is good at $4.30Service is top notch. The staff is exceptionally knowledgable about all their food and drink offerings.Parking is Street parking (free). At 10am on a Saturday we did not have an issue finding a spot. They have seating that is separated (so good for small groups) along with a small childrens play area.

I enjoyed my experience today, but because of COVID-19, I was unable to experience the atmosphere or full experience of this coffee house. I got avocado toast, a latté, and an iced coffee with Carmel. The avocado 🥑 toast was excellent I would rate it 5/5. The bread was very high quality and the avocado was more of a hummus consistency, but was really good. The latté had homemade almond milk in it, because that’s what I asked for and it was very rich and good. I would give it a 5/5 and there wasn’t much foam on the top which is good. The iced coffee was different than anything I’ve tried before. I love iced drinks and they didn’t advertise they had any, but they said they can ice any drink. I liked the coffee, it was rich and seemed to be high quality and I enjoyed that about it. There were a few things that I disliked about it though, or things I would suggest could be changed. The first thing I noticed was the straw. It was a wooden straw, which I totally love, but the quality of the straw wasn’t good and it broke. Also, I didn’t think there would be honey in it, I’ve never had an iced coffee with honey in it before. I don’t like honey very much and I don’t think I would have noticed if it was mixed in properly, but it just all sat at the bottom of the cup. Overall, this coffee shop is a little pricey, with tax, everything was about $18, but I understand because everything is very high quality. I gave this coffee shop 4/5 stars for these reasons.

Just enjoyed checking this place out with my wife. We loved meeting Lisa and Obed, the baker. Owners really care about each person that walks in their door. To describe this coffee shop in one word, I would use “light” - from the feeling you get when you walk in, to the design of the shop, all the way to the drinks and baked goods. Also love the name! If you don’t know why, look up Isaiah 55 and read all the way to the end (vs 13)! ;)

Myrtle & Cypress was a breath of fresh air for this new mama of two. I visited last week for the first time on a friends recommendation and it exceeded every expectation. From the visually-pleasing seating area to the friendly barista behind the counter (who greeted everyone with a smile as they entered) to the oh-so-smooth cold brew to the lovely green plants (which apparently you can buy right there on the spot and take home with you!) to the wonderful music selection, it was honestly like giving my senses a little vacation from my normal hectic life with a toddler and a newborn. Other pluses are that its so close to where I currently live that I could walk if I wanted to, there was ample parking at the gas station next door, and I can return with my kids next time because theres a beautiful little play room in the back of the shop! If you havent visited yet, do yourself a favor! Be sure to bring a good book, find yourself a cozy spot at the window, and order some creamy avocado toast while youre at it. You wont regret it.

I live a couple of blocks away from the Myrtle and Cypress, and it’s one of my favorite coffee shops in town. I will often walk there with my one and a half year old, who loves the place as much as I do. They have a play area in the back that is super baby friendly, where she can entertain herself or play with me. It’s really nice to be able to enjoy a long rest outside of my home without feeling like I’m making her bored. The rest of the coffee shop is beautifully decorated and very adult, so it doesn’t feel like kindergarten or the children’s museum. Truly a perfect place for people with kids! The coffee is also fantastic. I’ve talked with the owners on multiple occasions (they are very nice people!), and I’ve found that every item I’ve talked to them about is either homemade or locally sourced - from their non dairy milk and creams (made in house!) to their selection of loose teas and baked goods. My personal favorite drinks are the maple date latte (I like it iced), and the jade matcha (hot). Their nut mills are so creamy that they are comparable to dairy milk. All in all, fantastic coffee shop!

I feel a bit bad writing this review but my experience here was underwhelming. Incredibly overpriced for the area (I would feel prices are ok for SF or NY or alternatively if it was hand made by the pope lol) and slightly passive aggressive folks at the counter. I saw another woman on yelp saying the lady here wasnt friendly to her specifically. Same experience. I also felt the guy with long hair was a bit self centered and it was just a weird vibe. Not very comfortable going there and expecting a normal friendly vibe. Just didnt feel very welcome as a young woman. Sorry :(. just want to be honest.

I want to start by saying, I never write reviews for anything, ever. HOWEVER, I had the most phenomenal experience at Myrtle & Cypress. The food blew my mind (avocado toast - not at all what I was expecting. They make a rad little garlic-y spread with cherry tomatoes and Farine + Four bread and oh my GOD, its just so good) and the coffee was exactly what I needed. But, beyond that, the environment is EVERYTHING. Obviously the space is beautiful, but the owners are the cutest, sweetest people. They have SO MANY REGULARS. In the two hours I was sitting there, Brandon knew like 10 people by name, as well as their typical order. NOT TO MENTION - Brandon spent a good five minutes peeling tape off my debit card so that it would be swipe-able again - a dumb, little thing that I super appreciated and will keep me coming back.
