I came here on the recommendation of a friend. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Dr was professional, knowledgeable, and funny. He explained everything, answered all my questions, gave me my options, and off I went. Im happy to finally have a eye doctor I can trust.

Honestly, great experience many years ago. Loved my glasses and if I lived in Nebraska, I would still go to them. I have had issues with unsubsribing to their email list..... for the last 5 years. I have reached out to them and also continually unsubscribe but still get emails at an increasing rate. My recommendation would be to not sign up for their email list unless if you want years and years of junk mail in your inbox.

I have been with Malbar Vision for several years and Dr. Larry is by far the best eye doctor Ive ever had. He takes the time YOU need, he explains in laymen terms exactly what is going on and why. He listens to YOU and answers all questions, even the ones you didnt know to ask. He is patient and understanding. The staff helping you look for frames are the best. They take time and offer suggestions. You feel confident in their hands. I have and will continue to recommend Malbar and Dr. Larry.

This is the worst experience Ive had at an optometrist, from beginning to end, and for years afterwards. I was looking for a doctor in Omaha, and they had good reviews, so I thought it would be good, but every step of the way was awful.First, I showed up 10 minutes early to my appointment and didnt even get a hello from the receptionist until the time of the appointment, at which point she gave me the paperwork and I had to wait another 15 minutes.Then when I saw the doctor, he rushed me through the exam faster than any other eye doctor Ive seen. Usually when they say which is more clear, image 1 or image 2 if you say Im not sure theyll go back and show you them again, but he wouldnt do that.Note: The doctor I saw wasnt the regular doctor there, it was one from one of their other locations. Im sorry I dont remember the name. But he was far from the only problem I had.Then when I went looking for frames, they didnt have a ton of selection, so I decided to take the prescription and shop at some other places. I found a great selection at a couple of the Pearle Visions, but when I went to purchase there I found that Malbar had put some sort of hold on my insurance, so I had to go back there to get them to release the hold so that my insurance would pay for the lenses.Then during my checkup the next year, at a better doctor, who actually took time to answer questions and explain things, I found out that they had given me too strong of a prescription, which had been giving me headaches and blurry/tired vision for a year.And the only reason Im writing this review is because they keep sending me spam emails. I keep clicking through the unsubscribe link, Ive done that at least 3 times, and Ive also contacted them at least twice asking them to remove me, but they havent done that. So Im sick of trying to deal with them directly, and maybe this review might actually do something.If you want to see a much better doctor, I would recommend Ideal EyeCare on N 102nd Street, or the Pearle Vision on 96th and Giles. Been going to this location since I moved here in 2014. Dr. Malashock is the first optometrist Ive had that I actually LIKE. He gives me a much more in depth explanation of whats going on with my eyes than any other doctor Ive had. The entire staff here is friendly and helpful. I will not go anywhere else if I can help it.

I have been going to Dr. Larry Malashock for 23 years, and I have to say he is the best optometrist I have seen in my 45+ years of wearing glasses and contact lenses. He explains thing very well and answers any questions you have honestly. His staff are very friendly and helpful, its a joy to go to appointments. They explain your options and the associated costs. Highly recommended.

Dr. Malashock is one of the best optometrist in Omaha by far. I have been a patient of his for 20 years!! I was concerned that when he retires, what I would do for eye-care, He thinks of everything -- brought on some new optometrists to prepare for his retirement. This is wonderful so that current patients can be confident that the successors of Dr. Malashock have learned from the best -- Dr. Malashock himself! This place is great! The staff and Dr Malashock are the best in town. Our appointment wasn’t rushed and lots of thorough education was explained by the Dr. Malashock. I took my kids and myself there in one appointment. Our glasses didn’t take long at all to come in and once they were picked up, Michele went over everything with my kids (how to care, clean and fit glasses). She was super nice and kind!! Definitely recommend!

Ive been going to Dr. Larry for over 20 years (maybe longer!). He and his staff have taken care of me, my husband, both my kids and my brothers family. I really appreciate his expertise and bedside manners and the fact hes always take the time to ensure I understand whats going on with my eyes. His knowledge is only surpassed by his great sense of humor!

My family has been going to Malashocks for 10+years. Dr. Larry has the greatest personality and explains everything so you understand. He also shows you what your new perscription will look like if you need different lenses. I have recommended him to co-workers and anyone looking for an optometrist.

I have been to other Malbar Vision locations and had a bad experience, but this location with Dr. Larry is the best! You are treated with respect and taken care of.
