Sarpy County hired S&W to replace the fence that I lost in July. They left a mess from the get go. They did not notify me anyone was coming to my house to work. They took down my temporary fence and threw it in my yard. All of that rubble they left I was told they don’t pick up. They cut my landscape light cable, which they said they don’t replace or fix . I was told “we marked for it!” Obviously they didn’t. I called to talk to someone and was told the operations manager would call me back. That was 2 months ago. I’m still waiting. They left all of the work orders for 12 houses in my yard. I know homeowners personal information, the cost of their fence, the discount Sarpy County received and more. They didn’t bother to come pick that up. The person I finally talked to after a month was condescending and told me they don’t clean that stuff up and it will go away when it rains. Wonder how concrete goes away in the rain? I wonder if he would have told a man that? He then told me when I put new mulch down it will cover it up. NOT THE POINT. I will never recommend them.

Thanks S&W Fence for ruining my husband and my 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration tomorrow!!! You cut our gas line to our gas fire pit while putting in our neighbors fence and didn’t have the decency to let us know you did it so we could get it fixed ASAP! You covered it up with the pipe going right thru the cement for the fence post. I guess I didn’t need to pray for no rain so I could use our fire pit. You solved that issue where we can’t use it! At least you could get us a portable fire pit to use in its place!!

I booked S&W back in March. Their prices were comparable to other companies, we booked them because they said wed get our fence at end of May, when other companies were quoting July.May/June came and went with no updates or communication. Finally beginning of July they came out and set our posts.They destroyed 3 of our underground sprinklers in the process. Its good that we got the sprinkler insurance otherwise we wouldve footed the bill to fix them.The posts sat in our yard for a couple of weeks with no updates or communication. I had to talk with the director of operations in order to get an answer on when the panels would be installed. She was very helpful and had a team out the next day to install.The fence looks great, not knocking them on quality of work. The communication is severely lacking though. During Covid delays are to be expected on materials and Im not faulting them for that. When you pay several thousand dollars though, you should not have to someone down for updates, especially when youre past the agreed upon deadline. I never received any follow up from the company, something that would be a nice touch considering that again we spent several thousand dollars.Giving three stars because the fence is what we paid for, and the end product looks good. Communication and professionalism were sorely lacking for my project though. Definitely get the sprinkler insurance if you do go with these guys.

Do not recommend. They will not fix warranty items unless you sue them. Also, the survey company they use is no good. I was able to measure with a tape measure and see the surveyor was wrong. He inaccurately measured the lot and we had to hire a new survey company to come remeasure and fix the posts.Response to S&W reply - Yes, you are correct, you installed fence in 2007, the year after the gate was messed up and we had to fight to get it fixed even though it was under warranty at the time. Then a few years ago, my neighbors had you install a fence and the fence isn’t even within his property line because your survey company measured wrong even though he paid extra for a survey. I tried calling you and left messages, but you would never call back. Now your company is screwing around with a family member over mistakes your crew made again a month ago. The reviews speak for themselves. Your rating is low from many independent reviewers. I hope your future potential customers know there are many better fence companies out there.

My partner used S&W for a new fence on her property in 2017. Last year we noticed significant splitting and warping of the support posts, we had another contractor tell us the posts were put in incorrectly, and many boards barely hold onto their posts due to poor nailing. There’s quite a few nails in that don’t even bring things together, they only touch one piece of wood. We called S&W about it last summer but they told us outside of 6 months of installation they won’t touch it. They basically told us we should have inspected it better ourselves in that time frame. I’m making this review now because I’m reminded of their indifference to us every time I have to go around and redo a section of the fence or screw in things that were barely together before. Don’t use S&W if you want the lifespan of your fence to be more than 2-3 years.

Customer service was excellent and the crew that did my fencing was very efficient. The project was done a week in advance. Fencing looks great- very good experience with this company they went above and beyond

I should have read the reviews before deciding to go with S & W!!!They will blame everyone and everything before taking accountability for why your fence is not yet complete. We are in a new construction home. I asked for our estimator to contact our builder to ensure that the fence posts went in before the sod. Of course he didnt... so then I was told two weeks after the sod went in, we have now been in our house a month with still no fence. The posts are finally in but they cant give us a date for the rest to be complete. Always 7-10 more working days...so frustrating. Get it together S & W! Learn how to communicate and schedule! I will not be recommending this company to anyone!

We just had our second fence installed by S&W and we are very pleased. Our first fence lasted almost 20 years. The entire staff has been great to work with and offered excellent customer service!

We had an estimate for a new vinyl fence in 9/2020 from Tim at S&W Fence. Estimate was thorough and well explained. The price beat the competitors by a couple hundred dollars. We paid in full up front. The company kept us informed of the install timeline and Tim was great with helping us modify our original plans with no problems. Fence was installed in 11/2020. Looks great! Through it all (doing a lot of home improvement projects at the same time), Tim and S&W were the easiest contractors to work with by far!We would use them again in a heartbeat!

Tried to get an estimate for a fence I plan to put around my pool. Called on three occasions. Two times last fall. Again within the past three weeks. Each time I was able to talk to a S&W employee. Each time they said they would send someone on site and provide an estimate. Each time I never heard from them again. I have two estimates for the fence. Would like one more estimate, before I pick a vendor. Still searching.

Don’t bother. I estimator NEVER SHIOWED UP AS PROMISED. Don’t waste your time. 2 other fence companies delivered as promised.!

Gary and S&W Fence did a great job on my new fence (replacing an older one that had rotted away after 30 years). My wife and I love the new 4 cedar pickets, and the neighbors have complimented us on the look and quality of the work. Everything from the estimate to the installation went according to schedule, except for a brief delay caused by excessive rains. The crew hauled away the old fence remnants, and also deposited the new post-hole soil in my gardens exactly as I had requested. Gates work great. Well done! A+ quality service!

We were in a pinch and needed a fence quickly so got multiple quotes. S&W was quick and deliberate with their estimate process. I worked with Tim and he was great - responsive and helpful with a few of my questions. We went with them and everything exceeded expectations including their initial timeframe! They even came out after I noticed a few items that needed fixed/corrected the next day. I would highly recommend them after my experience!!

I wish I could give this company a 0 star rating. We have been dealing with this company for over a year now. Unfortunately my mistake I never read all of the reviews on this company. We had them put up a 6 foot privacy fence around our backyard in May of 2016 around September 2016 we noticed the wood turning colors and holes appearing in the pickets. We called S&W numerous times never receiving a call back but received a letter in the mail from their lawyer saying we needed to pay the additional amount we refused to pay until the issues were fixed. We had other fence companies come out and look at our fence and not one of them said that the wood that S&W installed was definitely not #1 cedar and it was not cedar at all. They finally came out a week ago to install the new fence my husband and I came home to inspect it and yes the wood looks a million times better but the work that was done is horrible. There is about a 4 inch gap between our house and our fence and then there is another 6 inch gap between our fence and our gate not to mention the 3 huge gaps under our fence where they did not get the pickets all the way to the ground so our dogs could easily get out and we live next to a very busy street. I could have done a better job putting this fence up myself! To top everything off they say the fence is perfect and basically told us to screw off and they are not fixing a dang thing. Word of advice do your homework and DO NOT go with this company unless you want a crappy fence and horrible horrible customer service. This company needs shut down.

Reading all these negative reviews Im thinking yall must be talking about another company. Theyve been great! I started the process before closing on the house... the goal was to get the fence installed before winter and they got it done. Excellent communication throughout... Id highly recommend them!

Paid in full to secure a discount on an iron fence. Worked with Tasha-who was excellent. She was prompt at getting the initial estimate and guiding me through the process-survey, sprinkler insurance etc. We were told up front the installation date was estimated at about 8-9 weeks out (weather, Covid, manufacturing all factors). I periodically checked with Tasha during that time to get updates. We received communication from Tasha on installation date-and if there were any delays. Tasha was on site for initial post installation day and avaialble for questions throughout process. The post workers were swift and worked very hard. The fence installer-the same-couldnt believe one person could install a fence that fast. We were missing a gate-but a quick call and were told when it would be installed-and then received a call to tell us it was install and who to call with any questions. The entire process was great. Sure-it took awhile from payment to installation but that was communicated up front. Very satisfied.

S&W was a great company to work with and we highly recommend them! Mike was very knowledgeable and was a great communicator, and the crew was so professional, nice, helpful and fast. They definitely know what theyre doing and did a great job.

I called multiple times trying to get a bid and updates on the status of it. Finally out of the blue I get an email saying that they stopped by and our job “doesn’t meet their minimums” to even provide a bid. Horrible company and horrible customer service from the get go are a huge red flag.

Like others, a very frustrating process. We locked in with S& W for a 6 privacy fence, which took more than 3 months past the original date to complete. Communication was non-existent except when I reached out to them to ask why, once again, they had not shown up. Always an excuse when asked why they couldnt give me an updated completion date. My favorite: well, we dont want to get anyones hopes up... Seriously?

Customer service was the worst had to talk to them thru a partially opener crank out window. Very rude.

Got our fence and it looks great and was the best estimate we got but the process was beyond frustrating. When I called to have them do an estimate they said they dont schedule appointments they just come do it. Well it took them a month to come do it. The next day I went and paid in full for the fence in full. They told me they were 4 weeks out and I would get a call a week ahead to schedule. 5 weeks later nothing so went in and found out we were on the schedule for the following Tuesday. So that Tuesday they called and said they were on their way, came out and then said they werent going to do because of the rain and that theyd be back tomorrow..Wednesday came and still no word. Thursday came and still no word so I called and spoke to a supervisor and she said they cant work in rain and my rep should have called etc. Well the next morning at 730 am they were there to put the post up. I have a picture but unfortunately there is no where to put it on here. So like I said, weve got our fence and it looks great but the process was sooo frustrating!!

I contacted S&W last month. They promptly sent an estimator out to my home and provided a very timely quote for a fence install. At the time of the install I was told with good weather it would be around 7 weeks. So about 4.5 weeks in I call the main office (where I took my money to pay) and they told me they could not possibly provide any details at all about the progress of my order. I was told to call my estimator. I did that, left a voicemail and sent an email. He declined to respond for an entire day and didn’t make contact until I asked for a refund. At that time he informed me that he was away from his phone for the past 24 hours and we were 6 weeks out still. Mind you we’ve had prime fence building weather and no one bothered to inform us that in almost 5 weeks we haven’t moved up the list at all. I felt this was a breach of contract due to the non existent communication and extreme delay so a refund seemed reasonable. He then informed me that I would be subject to a heavy penalty if I backed out. As a consumer I am concerned why the business needs not worry about the agreement but the client is completely vulnerable. This is the business equivalent of the movie Saw at this point, minus the tricycle but emphasis on the clown. They cannot answer basic questions and getting ahold of someone helpful is still a mystery, yet I’m subject to a $400 penalty based solely on their incompetence. I’ve never been less impressed with an establishment in my life. Their operational organization is cartoonish at best.

I dont think Ive ever seen a more professional installation.These guys are SERIOUS.Its a little like buying a new car though, theres negotiating involved, especially when it comes to when the fence will actually be installed and finished. I understand that this is an industry standard. And some elements are out of their control, like weather.But there could be better lines of communication (I stayed home 3 days from work in a row without pay because they were expected and I wanted to be here when they were. Dont do that).If youre able to stomach delays, Im quite positive you wont find a better fence.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I love my fence installed by S+W. Their price point beat other fencing companies; I had a few bids. And they delivered on the timeline they promised. Easy to work with. Pleased with the product.

At your own risk. These guys work is good but their communications skills aren’t very good. If I could grunt to communicate I would have been happier. I should have read their reviews....I have been telling my new neighbors about this too.

We would be contacted a week ahead of time to confirm installation date and time. Well last week would of been a week ahead of time for the original plan.... didn’t hear from them at all we had to contact them. We were given the run around when we called the office and told that we need to talk to our estimator.... we called the estimator... estimator tells us he has to check with the scheduler back at the office and he will let us know.... never hear back, we call two days later, estimator gives us the same run around. Texts me around 3:30pm, “operation manager is gone for the day and he will get back to me tomorrow”. Next morning all the excuses, corona virus/vinyl factory being closed, workers being out, and tells me they are backordered, but the posts will go in the next week sometime. I ask what day will the posts be installed and when do they anticipate the project to be completed. I am then ignored no response. ***********Don’t use this company***********

Had a great experience with Dan and S&W. Reasonable estimate, strong communication and the black vinyl fence they installed looks really nice, with lots of adjustments for my uniquely shaped yard and slope. He talked through my questions, and when they came out to install posts, he walked me around the entire length of the yard making sure I knew exactly where things would go. Would definitely recommend this company.

Very disappointed with them. I am a contractor and have been referring S & W for the last few years. When it came time to get my fence done, they were supposed to have a lady come out and measure up the fence, had the date scheduled and no showed no called. Wasted my time. I have talked to other customers who have said the same thing. I guess I wont be referring them ever again.

I completed the form on the website to obtain a free quote but after week still hadnt received a response. So I called and received a series of voice prompts. No thank you. I called another well known company and got a live person on the line within the first couple of rings. Thats customer service.

Crew came to put a fence in for our neighbors and shut off the water to our house because our sprinklers were on. They had zero permission to be on our property let alone shut off the water. We were home st the time no one came over and asked us to shut off our sprinklers or to be on our property. The crew was rude and had zero common curiosity.

I built a new house with a local builder this 2019. I had worked with S&W fence 5 years ago when we built our fence in our first house. Besides the door hardware breaking within the year, everything else was pretty normal. My bad experience is with this 2nd time using them. While building our new house we got a quote from S&W and decided to wait on deciding whether we could afford the fence or not. # months later, we decided to add the fence. Talked to S&W fence and they gave me a new quote for the same fence already quoted for $500+ more than the original quote. When I talked to the sales man, he said that he would not lowered it any since it would cut from his profits. The fence was going to be build on the the same day and its my understanding that they dont buy the lumber 3 months before the project. I strongly feel that they took advantage of the situation by knowing I wanted the fence after all. Very disappointing experience this second time. The fence in the other hand seem to be of great quality, for that reason a second star. The customer service aspect was just to heavy to give them more stars

Wow. Over priced from the start and very glad I backed out of the office, before signing a contract. I did this due to the rude attitude from the front desk lady, and to further look for a good fence installer. Found one that is nearly 2K cheaper for the same exact fence. ...and the rude girl said ha, good luck as I left. Well, thanks, I found a better company!

Would highly recommend S&W for your fencing needs. We love our iron fence. Tasha made the process quick and efficient as well as always keeping up with communication. Very impressed!

Terrible experience with the sales representative. Put in a request for a quote around mid April and the communication was very lacking since then. Called to see if I could switch reps and was told the person I had been dealing with is the only one that covers my area. I completely understand that the company is busy but some basic communication would be great. If someone wants to reach out about getting this moving again I would be receptive but definitely going to start looking elsewhere.

The office was pleasant but from that point on I was not impressed. We wanted an estimate on adding a kennel, wanted to meet with Sales rep. That didnt happen, we called and Sales rep said he would drop stakes off so we could mark where we would like the fencing to go. We wanted his input but figured better to mark it so we could at least get a bid. He never dropped off stakes, there are too many other companies that are willing to work with a potential customer. I never called back. Went with another company

Had a great experience with S & W fence over the past few weeks. We needed to add some fencing to enclose our yard after we moved in, 2/3 of the yard was already complete. I worked with Tasha, and she was timely and very fair, in fact I received a lower quote from another fence company, which I provided to Tasha and she beat their PRICE! The fence went in quickly and looks great. I also think we got some nice extras like key lock gates and everything looks great. S & W fence moved pretty quickly considering they got our fence posts installed faster then some other companies replied with a quote!

Very good experience all around, just got our fence done in less time than expected. 2 days from start of teardown to finished product. Exceptional communication and ease of doing business for a company that does a lot of volume. Very good experience overall.

S&W did a great job with our new fence. The buying process was professional and hassle free. The fence was installed quickly and is a great addition to our backyard. If we need another fence, it will come from S&W.

We went with S&W Fence to enclose our back and most of our front yard. Their bid was very reasonable compared most we had received. Delerie came out quickly to get an estimate together for us and listened to exactly what we wanted. We were enclosing most of our front yard as well and had specific requests that they met with no problems. I even had to get back with her to make a couple of changes and she updated our plan quickly and let me know of what the updated cost would be. Our fence was installed in a very timely manner and it looks great. Many places we spoke with said they couldnt get to us for 2 months! I know they have many negative reviews on here, but that was not our experience at all. They were wonderful from start to finish and we couldnt be happier with the entire process. I would highly recommend them.

Be very cautious when hiring this company to install your fence. They will assure you they are installing it on your property, then their installation crew will do as they please. S&W Fence is highly unaccountable for their actions, lack adequate follow up, and their reputation shows it. If you want cheap, thats what you will get with S&W Fence. I HIGHLY do not recommend this company.

Use anyone but this fence company. They put a fence for our neighbor and destroyed the heck out of our property as well as surrounding neighbors. Two weeks later the company FINALLY returned my call not to apologize but to say the 50 year old property line was incorrect and so it was okay for him to destroy our property. Better yet, to fix the problem we should move in our property line back in a few inches so he doesnt have to fix his mistake.

S&W installed the our wood privacy fence in our backyard, the process went smoothly and they did a great job, Gary was a great person to deal with, always returned my phone calls in a timely manner . The final product turned out beautiful

Whatever you do....do not buy a vinyl fence from S & W! The guy who ran the vinyl shop and knew what he was doing is no longer there and they have a kid running the show who could not answer my questions. I would not have givin them the 1 star but I have to. Very poorly run outfit! Best of Omaha....baloney!

Had the same type of experience as the last gal on the review, I wish I would have read that before going with this company. We were told they would match the price from another company and they would be able to have a fence up within 6-8 weeks. We were closing on a house and the timing put us in line with the closing date and only about a week without a fence. We have 2 dogs and they are used to being outside. We finally got the posts put in but it still took another almost 2 weeks to put in the actual fence. We were going to do 3 inch gaps but we were called back and told 2 inch gaps are what the neighbors had and we wanted to match that. We changed the order and paid the difference for it. The day they installed the fence I came home and could automatically tell the difference. There was a 3 inch gap, I called and they said it would be fixed the next week. They did end up fixing the error but with how long it actually took we were still frustrated that it wasnt done right. The fence looks okay, my husband notices how it doesnt flow as well as the neighbors does and it is actually pretty wobbly. The dogs jump up to see over it and it moves a lot. I wouldnt recommend the white non privacy fence. I did ask the neighbors when they were out on their front lawn who did their fence and she said S&W, she said they were awful and she wouldnt recommend (too late). She said she can knock over her fence if she pushed just a bit. If S&W would have been up front and told us it would take 6-8 weeks to put up the posts and THEN 1-2 more weeks for the actual fence to be done I would have had the right expectation up front. I am not an expert on this so how would I have known? I work for a pretty big company and I was referred to Dakota Fence by a lot of my peers but my husband had done the research on S&W so he decided we go with them. I would not recommend S&W just simply on this experience, yes we got the fence but after having to stay on them to find out timelines and then having to call back to have them fix the mistake.

We used them for the fence on our new home. Tosha Aken was our representative. Tosha was incredibly easy to work with. I would recommend Tosha and this company to all my friends and family.

Our fence ultimately looks nice, but the representative had poor email response time (in fact, twice he never responded at all. I had to call the office to get an answer). Additionally, when they made a mistake in the process, they took no responsibility for it and wanted us to pay for their mistake. I would not use them again.

Truly a nightmare to work with. No one wants to be held accountable so not matter how many times you call and youre promised a call back itll never happen. Scheduling anything with them in a timely manner is absolutely impossible, and while I understand they have other appointments, when it takes a full month to do 2 sides of a fence (not even a full one) after youve stressed it needs to be done by a certain day, theres a problem.Oh, but rest assured, they got the posts up 2 weeks after getting my money, and literally cut corners. I was shown a corner being installed between my house and my neighbor in the estimate, and expected such because our houses do not perfectly line up. I instead got home to one line of fencing slanted back to meet the other house. When I asked about it I received no answer.

S&W Fence did an amazing job and I am beyond satisfied with their work. They planned and installed a very large residential fence for me, with several gates and other unusual considerations. Every phase of their work was quick and professional. Tasha Aken is obviously experienced and made the planning simple. The installation crew did an unexpectedly fast job of both tear out and installation. They left my yard looking better than when they came! And the price was fair. I live in Fremont and didnt even bother looking into a fence company here or S&W Fences Omaha competitors. I made the right call.

Should of read these reviews before hiring S&W as they are spot on. Sales rep was hard to get a hold of and had no sense of urgency during the entire process. My yard was tore up when putting in posts and could have easily been cleaned up after or avoided all together. Plants and landscaping are smashed and dirt is everywhere. They managed to hit 3 sprinkler lines when I had them all clearly marked and did not tell me and I had to fix myself. Most of the fence was installed properly but some boards are already split and some posts are not straight, including the gate. Will not be using S&W again.

Just had a cedar fence installed yesterday and couldnt be happier with our experience. Everything went just as we were promised. Our salesman (Tyler) was easy to work with and was responsive any time we had questions. This is the second home where we have had S&W install a fence and both times we have been pleased with the result...and cost (got 3 estimates both times and S&W was the best price both times).

Gary is fantastic to work with. The crew is nice, friendly and very professional. They definitely know what they’re doing. #1 in my landscaping needs.

Its funny to read the reviews here and obvious they had employees do the very few 5 stars mentioned. I have called them 3 times for just an estimate and cannot believe they are so busy they cant even return calls. Omaha would be a great place to bring in a well respected fence company for sure!

I have tried to get estimates from other company and they where not able to give an estimate for a month. I wanted to know how long it would take to build the fence and what the price would be. S&W was able to answer my questions and they followed through on what they said they needed to do. I feel the price was fair. I really love my fence and I feel that S&W did a great job!! I have under ground sprinklers and marked them like thay asked me to do and there was no damage. So thank you for that!! Tyler was my sales man. He did a great job and was very helpful as well as the woman in the office. They told me the truth and did what they said they where going to do. So again thank you so much S&W!!

I was the only one who had contact with the company from the beginning. Then the final bill comes in and its only in my husbands name. Also, walking through my yard with sprinkler guy after fence was finished and found numerous 4 inch holes in the lawn which appeared to be from tools or posts, nowhere near the location of the fence. Picked up a total of 6 cigarette butts out my lawn from where they were parked. And piles of vinyl grinding left in my yard. Like the fence, but completely unimpressed with how they treated my property.

I would give ZERO stars if possible. We placed our order with S&W on August 8th for a 6ft privacy fence made of white plastic. They immediately came out, sprayed our gate entrances and completed the requested survey. On August 16th, they laid our posts around our property line and let us know that the fence would be finished after that. Our contract says approximately 10-12 business days. Key word being approximately. Our sales person, Tasha Aken, was slow on responses, and never had an answer to any questions that we emailed to her. She also refused to give us a phone number to contact her on. On the 10th business day, I called S&W to find out when our fence would be finished. The receptionist, Lisa, told me it would be another 3 weeks. They lost an employee, and said that I could call back myself to find out when my fence would be finished. I asked to speak with a manager and she refused. On the 12th day, I called again, and Lisa said again it would be another 3 weeks before finishing. Lisa’s customer service was below par and again, refused to give any update as to when our fence would be finished. On September 22nd (more than a month after posts were laid) we were contacted that our fence would be finished. We noticed that they had laid 2 posts close to our sprinkler heads (which were flagged prior to posts being laid) and emailed Tasha about this. She told us, “I will let the crew know but if that are directly on the fence line they may need to be moved” insinuating we would have to endure this cost. On Friday, September 27th, our fence was finally finished. Luckily, our sprinkler system was spared as well. When I called to settle our remaining balance, I asked to speak with someone in charge as I wanted to find out about the discount they would give us for not meeting their contractual agreement and for the lack of communication, Lisa refused to put me through to anyone in charge and would not change the bill. She got approval for a fuel charge credit of $30. Whoopie. Overall, we spent over $8,000 with this company and received the WORST customer service I have ever experienced through a company. The reviews are all true, these people are terrible to work with, and I will never recommend them to anyone in our neighborhood, which is a brand new development. This company is run by people that care about making the sale, and could care less about the customer experience. If you’ve made it this far, I hope you and your families will steer clear of this terrible business.

I can not believe after 6 weeks of trying we have yet to see a bid on a job I drove to them with photos and measurements. If they can not deliver a quote I doubt if they could deliver the job. Not one email returned. Amazing.

I have received better customer service at McDonalds, no joke. I wish there was a 0 star rating. Have popped 14 basketballs on one of their sharp 4 foot fence products and she said to put a pool noodle on the top. I think our homeowner association would disagree. Even though I just wanted to discuss viable options so my kids or a neighbor arent spiked in the neck I was told by her to basically pound sand. I will always recommend against this company.

If you don’t mind waiting well past the timeframe that they promise in their bid, and don’t mind zero communication from your sales rep, they put in a good quality fence. We needed a small fence done at our home, and both the setting of the posts, as well as the completion of the fence was bumped several times with no notification given. The utility companies had to come out three different times to mark our property for our lines. Our sales rep, Delerie, did not reply to our emails or phone calls. We had to call the main office to get any information, and even then, the day the promised for completion was bumped. The job eventually got completed and the fence looks very nice, but they make it clear that small jobs are not important to them. But they are more than happy to take half of your money up front. The lack of communication with the customer is unacceptable.

I have called four times to try to get someone to come out and give me a quote to replace our privacy fence. On the fifth attempt someone did come out a week later and measured the fence. I only knew they cam out because it was caught on my camera. That was four weeks ago, I have called multiple times to see what the quote was and to hopefully schedule the work. No one will call me back, they keep putting me through to the salesmen voicemail. When I tell them he wont call me back they say he is the only one that can help. I guess I am glad I found out how they operate (or dont operate) up front, rather than hiring them and dealing with a complete lack of service.How do companies like this stay in business is my question?

The Better Business Bureau gives S&W Fence an A rating! I agree with that rating. My experience was excellent! Heres the scoop...They provided me with good options and discussed the pros/cons of different fence styles. I really appreciated that they asked me where I wanted the dirt dropped off... instead of just picking any random place on my property. I had a couple low points in my yard and this was perfect for filling them in. They asked me about gate widths (think wide mowers). I went with one 4 gate and one 5 gate. They asked me exactly where I wanted the fence to come up to on the sides of my house. They were very polite both at their office when I had billing questions and on my property when their team was prepping and doing the work.As a bonus they managed the property survey to get the fence in the right place. They informed my neighbor and me about the importance of putting the fence inside surveyed property lines. I thought the overall cost was very competitive. They showed up on the days they said they would, they showed up early, and they worked very quickly. Finally, the finished fence was built right and looks amazing! The whole process went very smoothly. It seemed clear they wanted to do good work and wanted me to be informed. I definitely recommend S&W Fence.As with any contractor ask a lot of questions, manage expectations, and seek to understand how they think/work before you get into a project. I do not honestly understand the negative reviews. I suspect this Best of Omaha rated company is being trolled by competitors.

First I would like to state we have owned multiple homes and had 6 foot privacy fences installed before. This is the first time that within a few years the fence is falling apart. Terrible materials at best, at worst bad materials and workmanship. We now have to replace entire sections of the fence.

I called for an estimate, was told someone would reply within 3-4 days. 12 days go by and I called back and got sent to voicemail. After I called a competitor, who came out within an hour and gave me an estimate, I called SW to cancel saying they did not need to come. I them promptly got an email informing me they sent my estimate (without measuring anything) on May 18. I asked her to forward me the original email, but was told it was sent in the mail. Very unprofessional and downright rude to work with. Tasha must be the owners daughter, related or somehow endeared to them to still have a job.

I have similar experiences as written in other reviews. Primarily started with customer service at the office. I was ready to go in and sign contract/pay for a fence. I was thrown off guard when they asked me where I wanted the dirt dropped off. I asked how much was expected and the personnel couldnt tell me and began a little attitude. My fault for not reading the entire contract. It did stipulate they would have dirt dropped off and didnt have the ability to haul away any excess remaining. I would have expected this to have been identified on initial consultation. I assumed I was paying for a completed job....not to clean up after them.I further looked up on BBB and realized they are not accredited, but they do have an A rating as advertised with only 11 complaints. They also advertise they will repair up to 10 sprinkler lines, but their contract states only 3.I decided to look elsewhere, and appreciate the google ratings. Currently contacting Advantage Fencing, They are accredited with BBB with an A+ rating with no complaints. I will see if they are up to snuff.

Absolutely horrible communication and customer service. ALL of the poor reviewsare true! The ONLY reason I selected them was they were cheaper and could come out to my place sooner than other companies. Either my salesman Mike is terrible at his job or very overworked cuz I did not hear from him until I made the first step to contact him. I sure hope theres no commission involved because he has done nothing! This is how its been since I started working with this company. After I paid them half down I did not hear from them for several weeks until 2 days before my fence install. And I was the one that called them. I had no idea it was going to be installed in 2 days and I had a lot of planning to do to allow this to happen. (The next day, the day before install, was the first time they came out to look at my property and the area I needed the fence installed. )Once the fence posts were installed they said 12 days until they would come back and finish however they seem to take random days off during the week and these do not count toward your 12 days so its more like 15 16 but Im not sure because they have not contacted me to let me know theyre coming out. Again terrible communication. When were spending thousands of dollars on an item you would expect a little bit higher level of customer service. If anyone with interest in owning a fence company the market here in Omaha sure is wide open. Just a ounce customer service or at least a tiny bit of communication wood destroy the competition here in Omaha!

I has a fence installed into a new property and over the winter one of the gate posts shifted to where the gate will not open. After calling and asking for help I was called by a representative who came out, looked at the issue and took the gate to repair it. First class service.

This place cant locate a property pin to save their lives. I asked do I need professional to come look at my property line. They told me no we know where the pins are. After 5 year of having the fence up I was told I was off property line. Gonna cost me 2400 to replace!

Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. We went with S&W because they were able to come out right away and get us an estimate. They also told us we would have a fence installed by mid- to late-May, which is perfect because thats when we moved into our new house with our three huskies. Its mid-June and all I have are posts. Also, the fact that I have to call every single week to find out when were on the schedule is ridiculous. Were beyond the 12 days needed for the posts to set and were still not on the schedule. For as much money as we pay for a fence, I would expect a higher level of customer service. I just hope that once the fence gets put in, we have no issues because I dont want to have to deal with them again. Will not recommend them to anyone.

Called in a quote 2 weeks ago they came out fast to get the measurements but never followed back up with me to let me know my quote still waiting today for phone call. Going with a different company.

“Worst mistake I’ve made as a homeowner”I’ve been a homeowner for 39 years. I haven’t done one of these reviews before and I’m not here out of hostility. I just feel compelled to provide some info about S&W to anyone who is considering hiring them (which I can’t recommend). They installed a backyard fence in Nov 2018, they required full payment, they left behind several uncorrected problems, and they’ve now broken off all communications with me.- They left a gap between my yard and my neighbor’s, large enough to be a potential problem for the neighbors small dog- They transected a drain tile during initial fence installation and assured me that it would be fixed when the ground was dry, but this was never done- When they removed the previous wood fence, they sawed off the posts and left the stumps and footings from 14 of these, protruding inches above ground- For some unknown reason, the gates on both sides of the house were moved toward the front yard, putting 1 front yard underground sprinkler head in the back yard and 1 under the fence where they can no longer function properly- The latches on the 2 gates do not work properly and require forceful use of 2 hands to open and close the gatesIn addition, the lower edge of the fence ended up about 3-4 above the ground (their contract said that the fence would be within 1 of grade), so I had to place fill dirt to close that space for nearly the entire perimeter.I trusted them enough to complete payment last fall – my mistake, because they’ve demonstrated that once they have the money, they have no reason to finish the work or even talk. I’ve reached out to them 3 times in the past couple of months to try to resolve this in a peaceful and cooperative way, but they’ve ignored me each time – so it seems that they are leaving me no choice to but to resolve this in court. If you make the mistake of hiring them, be sure that you don’t make the mistake of paying them until you’re absolutely sure the job is done to your satisfaction.

Although I have never purchased a fence from them.... I must say what a stand up company they are. They take a lot of the old fences that they tear out and give the old stuff away for less fortunate people to recycle into there own yard. It is nice for folks that cant afford a new fence right now to have a source for free used supplies. Not to mention, my draw.... Recycling. All the products they give away could have ended up in a land fill, but instead they are still bring use to someone for what ever project they got going.

We had a fence installed around a larger property Northwest of Omaha and S&W combined professional service with a high end product and we couldnt be more pleased.

Dont waste your time! I called in for a quote and gave the receptionist my info and specifically said I needed a fence in the backyard. She said someone would be out at the end of the week to do an estimate. Monday mid-morning and still nothing so I try to call, no answer so I left a VM. I get my mail Monday afternoon and theres the estimate. No phone call or follow up after the estimate was done on THURSDAY! Anyways, I understand things come up. Heres the best part though... She had written the estimate for a 6ft privacy fence ALL THE WAY AROUND MY PROPERTY, not only is it against code it would have made my driveway completely useless... Btw her response to this was that she wasnt sure where exactly I wanted the fence to go... After numerous attempts to contact her with phone calls and emails the additional estimates she gave me were for a 6ft privacy fence. All I ever talked about having was a semi-private or picket fence. Also, dont expect to be able to work with anyone else. I contacted the main office because I was having so much difficulty with this lady and I was told shes good she probably just forgot but she handles your area. I found another company who answered all my questions and didnt give me multiple incorrect estimates.

Very poor professionalism at this company. Damaged several parts of my current fence when installing my neighbors fence. Their crew left debris and trash all over my property and never returned any of my calls.

This is the worst company to deal with. I never write reviews but this is worth it. The initial install was not great but ok. The gate had about an 8 gap on one side and there were several boards that got missed with the nail gun. The repair guy came out and botched it horribly. The gate was reduculously in a U shape 4 inches higher than the rest of the fence. And then he used nails that rusted immediately and self tapping sheet metal screws. When i complained they treated me like i was an idiot. I have done fences before and thought i would take a break and have someone else do the work. NOT worth the headache!

S&W Fence Inc installed a fence on my neighbors property which took about 7 days to complete with posts and fence boards. Unfortunately, they damaged my fence post on my gate and left a plethora of trash behind. I have added photos of the trash and damage. I tried contacting them over and over again and to my dismay, no response. If Im ever in the market for a fence or anyone I know is in the market, I will definitely not be referring them.

We called with questions about a fence S&W installed. They were not helpful, not polite, and not interested in helping us find a solution. We will use Acerage Fence from now on.

Not the best experience. Difficult to work with when trying to coordinate our pool project. Cant tell you the time or day they will be at your place to do your project.

Poor customer service, call and they dont return your calls,dont stand behind the work or product. Wish we would of talked to some of past customers, they dont take care of you after the fence is in. Every time you call you get different story. BOTTOM LINE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE USE DIFFERENT COMPANY

I cannot state strongly enough...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Terrible customer service and unethical business practices. The fence crew piled the excess dirt on top of my landscaping, burying my plants and mulch. Obviously, I was not happy. The project manager Mark Dobson originally took full responsibility, saying it was a quick job and he left it up to their [the crews] judgment and their judgment must have been bad. He offered to personally cover the costs of the damaged landscaping. However, when he received the invoice from Mulhalls it was $607.12 and he refused to pay. He questioned my integrity saying he believed the plants were already dead and cancelled an appointment to meet face-to-face. He offered $50 to get some new mulch and threatened to put a lien on my house if I didnt pay the remaining balance.Bottom line, please give your business to a company that values customer satisfaction, is honest, and doesnt try to cut corners. I wish I had!

I had an appointment with this company to come out and talk with me. About a half hour before I get a call from the man coming out says hes on his way asks me what type of fence I am looking for. I told him a wood fence he either hung up or got disconnected. He never showed or called back. I was would steer clear of this fence company I should have read the reviews.
