While video game selection isnt huge for some platforms, there is a great variety and isnt all just sports games like other game stores Ive visited. Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. This is an outstanding local game store, and I highly recommend!

Overall great place. Nick, Nate, and the new guy with long hair are super nice, respectful, and friendly. The other new guy with like a buzzcut though is the star off. Kinda rude and creepy, kept following me around and whenever I was looking through stuff he just wouldn’t leave me alone. Fantastic place without him, friendly staff, decent prices, would recommend

One of the least friendly game shops I’ve ever been to. I walked in to browse and one of the employees asked me to leave if I wasn’t going to buy anything - so of course I left without buying anything. 😛 The Serenity Hobbies in Norwich is much nicer.

Easily the great Store of its kind in the area possibly the state, super friendly staff and theyre more than willing to help any and all people coming to the store. New games, old games card or tabletop it doesnt matter. The staff always seem more than willing to learn the game you want to learn and teach others. In my experience of being in the retail business for years and traveling aboard to the experience other gaming stores, I have to say that I am so proud that Serenity is in my home town. Not only are they friendly, knowledgeable, and appreciate the business of patrons coming in, but they will make personal connections with anyone willing to spend the time here. They are always fair on pricing and are open to making things right for the customer. I cannot say enough good things about the experience I have had at Serenity and you definitely need to see it for yourself.

Knowledgeable staff, friendly people. Theyre genuinely into their products they sell and play. From board games to video games, collectables and books, they seem to have it all.

If you are looking for a soulful place to go play cards I would suggest you go somewhere else. Everyone but one person at the place barely talked to us and was friendly. There is other places in the surrounding areas you can get a better experience and those places wont charge you extra for boosters packs. Just go somewhere else.

The selection is diverse for the size and anytime I have wanted something not in stock they were happy to special order it for me. Quiet game store right off the main street. Easy to get to. Lots of space for table top gaming. Lots of boards games to choose from at standard board game prices. Brought my daughter here. Had a nice time and placed a little chess

I enjoy spending my free time here. The dnd nights are awesome. If you want to learn come down on a Wednesday. Thursday is also a fun board game night to be had. Come down and enjoy the fun.

I got thinking about this place and figured Id write a review. Its a lovely shop and theyve got more than just games. I heard that the owners planning to split the metaphysical stuff to a store separate from the game and comics but having them all together makes a pretty nice vibe too, to be honest. Very welcoming and chill owner. Very reasonable prices for crystals with a huge and ever changing variety and little cards over the product displays with there names. The also sell spell candles, various tarot decks and sage and other cleaning bundles as well as incense and books. It is The Perfect place to buy any witchcraft supplies in oneonta. ___ I attached a picture with a few of the crystals Ive bought from the shop (Rose quartz, Amethyst, Blue kyanite and Citrine)

I have been a customer of Serenity Hobbies for around two years. All I have to say is positive things. The owner is very nice and funny, someone that I can have a conversation with. They are constantly getting new products, adding to their very large collection. You can also go there to play the games. I go there every Friday night to play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. They host tournaments for games like Magic the Gathering. They also sell ice cream in the back, where there is a restaurant. They have something for all ages and tastes. I have come to consider Serenity Hobbies my absolute favorite store in my town.

Randomly it also has metaphysical items such as rocks, jewelry, crystals etc in one area. A nice selection though at decent prices! It is a hobbie store of sorts. Though I would put it at more of a gammer friendly store. Lots of gaming stuff and tables set up. They do have some kids games and items, comics, some basic plastic models, gamer lines of model making supplies, video games, and some other great finds. The store is large and easy to get around with plenty of space between displays. The staff is friendly and helpful if you have questions.

Upon moving to Oneonta one year ago and looking for a place to get my Magic fix, I checked out Serenity Hobbies. Never have I been to a comic/game shop that made me feel so welcome and comfortable, both from the owners as well as the variety of locals who frequent here. They offer many events throughout the week, along with the best play space I have ever seen that is commonly used for video games, board games, miniatures, a variety of tcg, and sometimes just for hanging out. Amazing place!

This place is awesome and the guys who run it are even better if you have a card game, board game, pc gaming, comic book need then look no further they will hook you up and if you want something thats not in stock let them know most times they can order it for you!!
