First time ordering a cake with them from this location and they one almost dropped my cake TWO they didnt have the right size box so the edges of the frosting were messed up THREE!!! i had ordered to have fruit inside the cake and they gave me pure frosting ... will not be ordering from this location again...

Im honestly in disbelief. This was one of my favorite stores to come to before I moved to California, but today Im done with this business. I called to place an order with the bakery department and they said I have to come in person which is fine. She then mentions theres other stores around the area which I obviously know this store happens to be the closest. She mentioned she was alone? That honestly is not my problem, then she mentions she has to go because she has other customers waiting. I understand theres a labor shortage, but that doesnt mean you should treat a customer like they are not important.

Typical Cardenas market. Smells amazing in the morning because of the bakery. But also typical customer service of these type of places like northgate and cardenas and super. Plan to be there a while if there is a line. They operate at dmv speed

They have some very good Menudo for Sundays and service is great!.

Went to the kitchen on my lunch break and there was only two other people in front of me paying so I thought I’d be out of there quick. Cashier finishes up and I step forward and she asks if I had already ordered and I said no. Rudely tells me I need to order with the other worker who was busy with a door dash order that had gotten there after me as the cashier stands at the register and does nothing. Don’t understand why she couldn’t have at least taken my order so I can pay and wait. Very inattentive.

Nice Mexican market with a sit down cafeteria. They make their own tortilla chips and tortillas, have a huge fresh meat section and a lot of produce

Everything is good just be careful at the deli.. they package food to go thats as bit old. Some tastes funny.

Their meat does not last at all in the fridge. Ive only bought meat here twice and never again. Only produce is good. The rest is over priced. Stater brothers is cheaper and the quality of meat is way better.

I can always depend on this market 4 my fave grocery items! I cant find many items @ other grocers. This store is clean, well stocked with an ample parking lot. Staff is cordial.

The market has a really good mexician deli. Great food to eat there or tak we out. They have a ready to go food such as chili sauce made there. Avocado dip to eat with your food or taquitos! Great market. Good cooks there!

Everything is over priced! They false advertise they tried to be slick and put something called bistec ranchero for 5.99 I’ve never heard of ranchero only ranchera witch was $10.99! Go across the street to stater brothers and get your ranchera for $ $4.99!!!! I tried to support Hispanics markets since I’m Hispanic but all they do is over charge you!!! Specially in this economy! Will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.

I go there because they have reasonable prices on there meat and produce. But the shelf products are more expensive than other grocery stores. And customer service is not the greatest and always find long lines because there are normally only two or three cashiers open. I only go because I need the ingredients for a recipe that other markets dont cater to.

You can find reasonable prices of fruit and vegetables. Also, they make great food as well if dont want to cook. Tamales are delicious too.

This store needs to improve customer aervice.Theres no excuse guests have to stand in line 8 to 10 people deep with only 2 registers open at 3 in the afternoon.Dont you care about the families who support your business?If you do then staff more checkers when YOU KNOW its the busiest time of the day.The registers are already set up more than 6 feet from each other plus if you are doing your part as a business, all your employess should be vaccinated or at least tested weekly by now. Please contribute to the publics well-being by staffing more employees (helps them earn money too for a more stable economy) and get people outdoors quicker during a time of a pandemic. Good deals on cakes and good deals on groceries

Great deal on chicken drumsticks and rib eyes bbq some up . Unfortunately i had tortillas at home but i want to try there freshly made ones.

Hispanic grocery store, very well stocked, you will find fresh bolliyo sandwich bread. Freshly baked. Fresh tortillas in all sizes corn and flour. Fresh fish, fresh meat cut to Hispanic standards.Very clean, great and helpful employees that speak fluent English and Spanish.What else can I tell you.Oh.. forgot to mention weekends are hectic, as most Hispanics work M-F. Just go on a weekday or get there early.Advantages: fully stocked, fresh warm Mexican bread. Buy cooked Mexican food to go...

You can trust Cardenas market to be fresh and great tasting. Look for their labels when shopping.Most important the people that work there are helpful and friendly.

The Tamales are horrible this year. Dont waste your money. Taste like a frozen tamale. Definitely Not worth $17.99!!!!!

My family got food poisoning from either the fresh pico de gallo or the jalapeño cream cheese tamales. Good prices and all that, but Ill never buy from the deli or kitchen again.

Im giving it a 4 because its my 1st time buying from here & have yet to taste the ceviche, beans, or salsa I bought. The cashier was friendly & the store looked clean & organized although the clerk from the hot food dept. saw me waiting for assistance & never approached me, I had to ask her for help. I guess filling the agua frescas w/ ice is more important.

Manager was rude not covid friendly you have to go to the parking lot and find your own shopping cart no option to sanitize your cart the bags they sale you for 10 cents fail before you get to your car I feel sorry for any one that has to walk its also way over price over all if you want to shop in a place where morale is way low because manager is always screaming at employees and customers shop hear never again for me to bad because I loved their cakes

It is a nice place to get Mexican food and ingredients they also have a bakery where you can get freshly made bread daily. The people are very nice and professional and there is hardly no wait time at the cashiers because they always have many staff at hand oh and they serve great cheese tamales.

We shop here frequently. Great fruits and vegetables, often at better prices than youll find elsewhere. The people are nice but they often dont have enough registers open. Thats really the only reason Im not giving then 5 stars.

Great prices on many produce items. Very friendly staff. In store fresh made cakes and breads, also many ready to eat items. Sometimes they let the lines get too long for check out.

Not enough registers openAll the time. And when they open them they dont respect priority in original lines, they just take who is coming and whobwas stuck in a 11 shopper line will still be stuck there. They have good stuff here, the meat section looks fairly clean compared to other places, it is the only reason I stand in those poorly manage register lines. A change on management doesnt sound bad.

This place is a hit and miss. There are days when I go that everything is fresh and then there are days that everything looks old. The restaurant is really good, food is delicious. My only complaint would be the line. The cashiers are really slow. I have been in line for 20 minutes in the express lane.

The lines were going all the way down the aisle with 2 registers open. I had one item and waited behind people with full carts. It was ridiculous.

Wanted to buy bread and saw a fly in there laying eggs, I asked someone if the were gonna change it because there was flys inside... Want to know what he said? no Ill just take it out... And so he did disgusting.! people eat that without knowing, what a shame.

I went there to buy sandwich bread and when I got there it couldnt have been a better time cause the bread roll I got was freshly out the oven cause it was nice soft and warm. That was the best sandwich I ate in quit some time the bread set off the entire sandwich.

There is a new manager named Kenya, I come to this place every day and I always see here working and trying to make things better,I didnt like this market,but with this new manager Im quickly liking this place again,line are going faster,and things are looking good as long as Kenya the manager is there,great job Kenya,glad to have u there

This place has great Mexican food and great Mexican items. The only problem is some of the Mexican people that shop there are really uneducated and rude. The manager who is also Mexican probably is also very unprofessional and doesnt seem to care much about the business.

The food is delicious. Their produce is pretty good and fresh compared to .how it used to be. I like this grocery store but the service is hit and miss, sometimes I get very friendly cashiers, butchers and in the food sectiion but there are times that they are rude. Im picky on how my stuff is bagged, the baggers just stuff things any which way and they smash my herbs when they put them in the bottom or in between my produce. This is the reason I decided to write a review. I just left the store and had radishes and cilantro and asked the bagger if she could please put the cilantro on top, she looked at me put it in the bag and stuffed the rest of the stuff on top (I asked in Spanish to avoid misunderstanding).

Fruit is of poor quality as are most of the veggies. The only things that are fresh is the bolillo, and the hit food items like the carnitas and other like items from the Mexican deli.

The Chicharrons were amazing! Chruchy yet chewy and loaded with flavor . This store has great deals with friendly staff...The serve breakfest too. My Mexican brothers and sisters are it strong. I would shop here more often if it was closer to my house.

This place lacks on customer service, unfortunately. The parking lot is a mess constantly, there are drivers who do not pay attention, as well as people most often stepping out of their cars. A lot of times, no one is available in the store to help assist customers, if you need something, and even when it seems like the lines are short, the cashiers take a very long time to ring up each customer. This is a place I do not recognize going to, unless you need something from there.

The people are so friendly and helpful, I love that market.

The meat counter ladies are rude no people skills. they help there own relatives and just plain skipped me. which I had a number.

I feel this location has suffered due to employees not trying to speak english. For 1 you take a number for meat department they will call numbers but there is always 1 person behind counter that wont use numbers. They will pick a person . Thats not fair because other people are waiting they have ticket. I said something about it. The people ignored me and wouldnt service me after that. I left. Its just a big hassle to go to this location. Save your time and money go to Ralphs or stator brothers or even food 4 less.
