This place would absolutely get a five-star rating if I could the only thing that holds back is just a stay so busy the customer service is not there but its not their fault theyre just busy because they treat you right on the price they back their product and theyve been around for a long time but its still much better than Lowes or Home Depot I guarantee you Ive been buying from this place for years my appliances in my house come from here and weve been very pleased.So lets summarize it....1. I purchased a Maytag washing machine about 3 years ago. The washing machine has a “ ten year warranty “ stamped on top of it. The transmission went out, so I called Maytag. The warranty only covered the motor and drum. I highly recommend not to purchase a Maytag. Rix did call me to try and make this right. But, I’ve decided to buy a different brand. I appreciate what they did, so Rix Audio receives a 5 star.

Have purchased numerous appliances and TV’s from RIX for multiple homes over the years. They were known for great customer service. In the beginning they were great but I have called numerous times and have left messages for them to call me. No, call backs. Definitely not the service they have been known for. Very disappointed!!!!

This was one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. The appliances appear used, but when you ask the rep he says they are new. The rep that was there the day I went in was very rude to me. I could not believe he was a salesman. He TRIED to belittle me. At the end, I left the bald, rude man with is below standard appliances and no purchase from me.

We recieved the worst possible service from everyone at this store. If you ever wonder why people dont want to shop local anymore, go to this place & youll see why. Please save yourself so much trouble & go to Home Depot or Lowes.Edit****There will never be anything this company can say or do to win me back as a customer but Im sure they dont care & arent as devastated as they act. And in my opinion I dont think their reputation is as good as they think it is, it cant be with the way customers get treated badly.

The owner of this business (you know who you are) made some extremely inappropriate comments in-store to my husband about a family member of mine that were not only insensitive, distasteful and unwarranted, but also deeply hurtful to me. What’s even more insulting about this scenario is that it occurred directly after I had just purchased a few thousand dollars in appliances from Rix. Having known the owner’s family for years and having supported this business for decades, I certainly expected more decency and professionalism. I obviously won’t ever be spending anymore money on appliances in this store again (nor will the others close to me), and I’m certainly not holding my breath for any kind of apology. But I do hope one thing is learned from my review, and that is this: Please treat your customers with more dignity and respect moving forward, and it is not EVER your place to publicly discuss other people’s family business to a paying client in your store. Especially a family who’s spent God knows how much money at your business over the last several decades. Grow up.

Their prices no doubt cannot be beat. I was really surprised at the terrible customer service after reading all the reviews and usually knowing that local places are nicer than brand name stores, my husband and I were in shock when The person on the phone used the G**D*** word. They were supposed to come at 2 pm to put in our appliance, I called them at 2:30 and they said we are on our way. Then my husband called them at 3:30 and the person on the phone became upset and used the GD curse words. My husband couldn’t believe his ears. They finally came at 3:45 - almost 2 hours late and bang bang boom took 15 minutes to install the appliance and left like they had to catch the train. Plus every time I spoke on the phone with them, they would cut me off mid sentence and hang up the phone. We are seriously appalled at their behavior and lack of customer service. I don’t even know what to say except maybe they only like to sell to people that look like them? I could not explain their rude behavior to us any other way. It makes no sense as to why you would treat anyone this way let alone a customer.

Rix looks like a pawn shop... dont let that put you off. The guy knows his stuff. I was steered to a great TV at a fair price by an expert who wasnt simply pulling a check from a big box, but is an avid fan of the products he sells. Id go back over best buy or target, for sure.

If youre looking for a TV or appliance be sure to check with Rick before you buy. They do their own deliveries and installs. They will also tote your old appliances away. Bought a dishwasher from Bubba at a great price. Will be coming back for more appliances. I will definitely recommend Rix to my friends. Excellent customer service!!Updates for 6/15/2019 and 7/12/2019I dont know how anyone would buy appliances elsewhere. So far I bought a freezer, dishwasher, and a stove. Each on separate occasions. Saved at least $200 on each compared to the same models at Lowes and Home Depot. Rick and Bubba are tremendous customer service people!I referred friends to Rix and they received the same excellent customer service.

So we have ordered 3 appliances from Rix promised by Friday (2 weeks ago) then I got a call saying they were on backorder. That was ok because was promised the Friday after (im a pretty understanding guy) then we get a call saying our fridge was damaged and they would have to order another one...at this point Im pretty frustrated. Now we have been waiting TODAY (which appliances were promised AGAIN) and have not received a call on when they will be here. This place has been nice, but unreliable for anything. My recommendation would just be to go and order from Lowes or Home Depot, because not only will they have it in stock (probably) but will be delivered before 3-4 weeks have gone by. Paying a few extra dollars is worth it just because youll get it sooner and wont have to play the phone tag game with them for several weeks.

I have been using these guys for over 15 years. Its a great family owned business who takes care of their customers. They have always had better prices than home Depot, Lowes, and best buy. Their service after the sale is second time none. while in the store I overheard them on the phone with Frigidaire. a customers refrigerator broke less than a month out of service. FRIGIDAIRE Refused to fix it or do anything about it. Rix took it upon themselves to take care of the customer and solve the problem at a financial loss to the business not the customer

After Lowes completely botched our order, these guys came through. The showroom is nothing special but who cares when you get customer service like they provide. I find it puzzling how our local Lowes and Home Depot can remain open with the incompetence they consistently demonstrate. Go see the guys at Rix if you need a new refrigerator or appliance. Nothing but praise for Rix.

Needed a new washer/dryer. Went online first, then went to several big box shops. Stopped in at Rix on the way home not expecting anything different. Wow, what a surprise. Bubba was very nice, honest about some of the features (steam) we werent sure about and gave us a better deal than anyone else.I dont think a customer can ask for more than that.

My dryer broke we took the heating element out it was fine neighbor came over and put his tester on it and found what part we needed so we called Rix and they had the part i went and got it and within 20 min my dryer was fixed. Thanks Bubba

These guys are crazy busy. Im starting to see why now. We had a problem with a new, high end freezer. It took a while, but they worked with the manufacturer and got them to replace it. From what it sounds like, he really had to push his vendor really hard. He got it done for me and I really appreciate their help.

I bought a washer-dryer duo from Rix a few years back and was very happy with the appliance, the price and the experience. When the washer boot got bent out of shape and the washer started leaking, Rix was the first place I turned to for the repair. That was Jan 24. After two months, and at least six follow-up calls or texts (all initiated by me), I finally gave up. Rix didnt order my replacement boot until two weeks after my first contact; it didnt arrive for another couple weeks after that. Then I couldnt get a commitment on when the service could be performed. When I let Rix know Id gone another route, I got two calls in quick succession, one of which warned ominously that Id pay three times as much for my alternate repair service instead of letting Rix do it, since they were already coming to [my] house today (news to me!). The second conversation was particularly uncomfortable, implying that the delay in service was somehow my own fault.Incidentally, the other service I finally called ordered the part immediately and will have it Monday afternoon, has me scheduled for a specific time slot on Tuesday (four days from now), and has already given me a firm price for parts and labor...all with the utmost courtesy. Im looking forward to leaving him my review next week.

I have been knowing and using Rick and Bubba at Rix Appliance for over 20 years and always use them when buying appliances and TVs. They bend over backwards to give the BEST SERVICE, BEST PRICE, AND BEST CHOICES on everything I am looking for. These guys work their butts off waaaaayy past normal operating hours delivering and installing what they sell. If something is wrong with an appliance that came from the manufacturer, they will make it right. Cant get that kind of service from the BIG BOX stores. I bought a Samsung dryer that stopped working after 5 months. They dont work on Samsung appliances and dont give warranty on them. You will have to contact Samsung yourself. Bad customer service! Wish they would have told me and I would have bought a cheaper dryer from another company.

Weve been buying appliances and entertainment equipment from Rix for years. We have always found them to be friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. The customer service is second to none. A few weeks ago, Bubba came by to set up a router we had purchased from Rix. He was professional and courteous as always even with our 9 month old twins getting in his way as they tried to help and our three year old asking question after question.Even though it was late Bubba made sure everything was right and we were comfortable using our new Internet options on our TV.We trust the guys at Rix and know when we ask them for opinions on different products they are going to be honest. You cant find that just anywhere especially the big chains. Thanks Rick and Bubba !

Called RIXs and was looking for a washer and dryer. He was extremely rude, Cutting me off when I tried to ask questions. I really only had two questions. Do you have washers, and what is your price? He cut me off and said to come in. They closed in 15 mins (I had to ask that too). I wanted to get a washer and he lost my business. I dont like this small town, you dont have a choice in business so why bother to be polite attitude. I have encountered it a few times in Opelika & Auburn area. It was back to school time and he knew hed have the business and he used that advantage to be rude to a potential customer, and that is an attitude I will not stand for. I SAY TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE.

They go above and beyond to take care of you. When they are short handed their Can Do attitude never fails.

These local folks always go the extra mile! We’ve been purchasing TVs and appliances from them for years. My microwave died over the weekend. They came and picked it up, fixed it, and returned/reinstalled it! I will always go to them first!
