I had so much fun!! It was my first time here so I was nervous about adjusting and how I would like it, but honestly it was a good time.I was slightly uncomfortable with all the trump affiliations in this location and how one of the workers KEPT walking into the pin even after we said number ours times we were fine because we were with 3+ licensed gun owners.For first timers, I’d say go for it! They even offer a self defense class.

COVID hurt the supply of guns so the shelves arent as full as we all would like them to be. That is unavoidable though. Guns are hard to find these days. This is a great place to check first if you are looking for a specific gun. 5 stars

I was referred to Firing Pin by a friend. I had been looking for a specific shotgun for close to 6 months. I came in saw it on the wall with no price card. The staff promptly answered all my questions and now Im ready to hit the range. They did not have my 12 gauge ammo, but I cant hold an ammo shortage against them. Now Im in the market for a new handgun and Firing Pin will be the first place I look.

Just had a course and it was amazing! The instructor was very knowledgeable and taught me more than I was expecting. The course was engaging and ending up on the range at the end was the perfect finish! Great facility, awesome people, 10/10! I’ll definitely be back!

We had a 1.5 hour lesson with Todd last night. I couldnt believe how much we covered and how much more confident and competent I felt at the end of the lesson. The session was well planned, thorough and built up to dedicated time in the range to practice what wed learned. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning the basics of having and using a handgun.

I HIGHLY recommend Todd Sandts Handgun training course. He brings a great deal of expertise. He gives you the legal information you need about owning a firearm, carry permits, and other pertinent information. But, he also uses simulation to help you improve your aim, understand real life situations, and creating a plan in the event you need your handgun to defend yourself.After your class session, you go to the range and shoot live.I had been to the FP range several times with a firearm, that I purchased last year, but was malfunctioning. He helped me understand why it was malfunctioning and what I needed to do to correct it. It improved my aim, my understanding of the firearm, and how to better be prepared in the unfortunate event, I needed to use it to defend myself.For anyone who purchases a handgun without familiarity about how to use it, I highly recommend Todds class!

Todd was a terrific instructor, very knowledgeable & informative. I would recommend anyone especially women to take this class. You learn all the basics in a classroom environment & then go to the firing range to practice what Todd taught you. It was amazing. I will definitely go practice there on a regular basis.

Friendly helpful staff, nice shop. The private lesson with Todd was top notch. He combined self-defense with lots of insight and training into a short lesson (much more efficient than a long full-day class). Left feeling much more knowledgable. Highly recommend.

The firing pin offers 1 on 1 firearm training for men and women. I participated in the 1 on 1 training with the instructor by the name of Tod. Tod was excellent teacher with great experience and background with guns and military training. If you have never shot a gun or if you are wanting to learn self-defense techniques and rules, I would greatly recommend having Tod as your instructor.

Took the Handgun and Self Defense 101 class with Todd Sandt yesterday at Firing Pin. Class material was thorough and very helpful. Todd is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience in different fields that make him a wealth of information as well as advice and tips. The class was engaging and fun, the simulation was helpful and thorough as well. The portion of the class on the range was a great chance to really put it all together and “test out” what we learned. Would recommend this class to all new gun owners and anyone looking to purchase a firearm. Looking forward to more classes with Todd.As far as the store itself, I stopped by Firing Pin last week just to take a look at several different firearms and put my hands on a few, the staff was super attentive and nice. Went back a few days later and purchased a Glock 19X, again staff was helpful and friendly. Overall great experience. Will be back will all future business. 10/10

I was extremely impressed with Niels, he worked with my elderly mother and her arthritic fingers until she was shooting like a pro. He didnt give up on her and I appreciate that more than I can express. She really had fun at Firing Pin Shooting Sports Thanks to him. $10 more for FFL than others in the area. Georgeous store but only about 1/2 of guns behind glass have prices. Not very friendly.

Visited this Friday. Staffs were super friendly and experts in firearms. Building and facility is brand new and state of the art. I definitely recommend you to visit if you want to shoot rifles, guns, etc.

The new facility is awesome. Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices on guns are pretty competitive. The range they have is very nice as well. However price for a year membership I felt was pretty high.

This place could be amazing, sadly the only reason I’ll come back is there’s no other option within a one hour radius .Poor customer service, the female working behind the counter had zero knowledge of relatively new firearms when asked and clearly had more important issues on her cell phone while “helping us”.The cost to shoot is rather expensive however I will admit the equipment appears to be up to date and operating expenses must be through the roof. This is also reflected in their “memberships” when I inquired about the rates to ownership I was told to “go to the other indoor range in town”...(how arrogant)Also why are you closed on most holidays? Isn’t that the time when you’d be busy ?As I said before this place could be so much better, hopefully someone will correct the issues and it will be.

It was my first trip to the new store and gun range. I was blown away! Not literally, as safety is a top priority there. Seriously, this place is amazing and the indoor gun range is state of the art and top of the line. East Alabama has been needing a high quality indoor range for a while and The Firing Pin has met that need and exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be going often.

Great place and great customer service. I don’t know what happened with the few bad reviews I’ve seen but I’ve always been treated by the staff like I was their top priority. Heck the owner knows me by name and I’ve only bought a handful of guns and accessories here. If anyone complains about price then they are not looking for quality products because this is what your gonna pay at a store for them. If you’re looking for a Saturday night special or a cheap pos go to a pawn shop. If you want somewhere clean and professional with quality inventory for reasonable prices then stop by here.

The best firearms shop in Auburn, bar none. As a first-time buyer, the staff helped point me towards several guns that would suit me best, as well as any needed accessories for IDPA competitions and the like. They have a good selection of pistols, and theyre more than happy to find a good price on anything they dont immediately have in stock.All-in-all, Im happy theres a local gun shop that has friendly, knowledgeable staff that arent snobby towards newcomers (which Ive experienced in the past). Support your local businesses, folks! :)

Charlie, Rick, and the entire crew at the Firing Pin have been nothing but excellent. professional, and courteous each and every time Ive walked in just to browse, talk, or purchase something. They have a GREAT selection of just about everything you may need, and if its not on hand, they can certainly get it. I like the fact that they dont claim to know everything right off hand, but they will research or know someone who does. I really appreciate someone that is honest. I will not buy from anywhere else unless I speak to them first. Im very thankful to have a quality shop with good, honest, quality people running it!

I am not from the Auburn area, however when I travel I like to stop by all of the local gun stores, this was by far the nicest place I have been to, everything was up to date and overall just beautiful. The customer service was unmatched, I spoke with a female and she was very nice and very knowledgeable, she is the reason that I will be returning whenever I pass back through.

They have a fantastic selection at pretty good prices. If they dont have what youre looking for, ask and they will see if they can get it in from one of their distributors.The people working there are professional and helpful. Will continue to shop here while I am still in Auburn.

This place is second to none. As you walk in, you feel like you are in a five star resort, slam packed from floor to ceiling with fire arms. Very knowledgeable staff willing to walk 10 miles through fire to assist you. I walked in clean shaved, with my pressed blue jeans and polo shirt. I walked out with a fullbeard, wearing Duluth bullpen corralling underwear 1 size larger than I normally wear, red-man select in my cheek and a 12 foot gator on a leash. They have a sophisticated heated and cooled indoor range that will make you feal like you have died and gone to Chuck Norris heaven. You can take your whole family 3 times for about the same price as the movies with small popcorn and sample size drinks. Great place to take the entire family for a daddy day out or just pull up those wranglers and go alone for some of that well deserved man time.

I don’t know why you’d go anywhere else to buy a gun. Great service, knowledgeable sales associates, good selection and fair pricing.

Friendly guys. went in to buy a handgun they did not have in stock. They ordered it for me and had it in three days (fair price). Great experience, I was genuinely pleased, recommended shop. They even stamped and sent my rebate to the manufacturer.

Finally our area has an AWESOME indoor shooting range option!! The price for walk ins is fair but more importantly great facilities and customer service!! My only con is the membership prices are a bit steep especially since I am a member of EAGC and will only come here on rainy days. But the perks may be worth it to you if your only other option is going to Uchee. The lanes are very spacious state of the art target system as well and a good selection of gun rentals.As far as the retail store my only con would be they are a bit pricey compared to other stores in the valley area. Still local and great customer service makes up for that in my book!!

Handgun selection is pretty solid. Even have higher end handguns. Id say they are about evenly priced with everyone else. Called today to see if they had a specific handgun which they did and asked if they did price matching (which I was just curious) was told they couldnt match that price which was totally understandable. Arrived at the store to check out the handgun as soon as the young lady handed me the firearm she said we actually had a guy call and try to negotiate the price on it earlier I responded yeah that was me and I wasnt trying to negotiate I was just seeing if you guys did price match. She stated she didnt mean to call me out like that. I intended to buy that gun even for almost 400 or 500 dollars more than where I was going to buy it just to support a small local business. The point is customer service could be better as well as the long gun selection. This review isnt to slam anyone but to help improve the business. I would still do business with this store anyday. They have great potential and the store setup is the best iv seen to date.

Did we go to the same place? TINY store LIMITED selection, business should be named AR15 Accessories for College Kids and Damned Little Else. Spent 20 minutes looking through the 16 cans of powder they classify as their reloading department, and not ONE PERSON attempted to help me, ONE guy SWEEPING THE FLOOR rather than assisting a customer who obviously wasnt finding what he needed (ME!). NOT A REAL GUNSTORE. Such a pitiful attempt I wonder if its a front for something else.

Ive been in several times and I will give it to them, they do have a good selection but that to me means nothing when they wont help you. I have been in twice looking for parts and the man behind the desk never stopped playing his game on the computer. One part, I even told him where he could get it for $15 and I told him Id pay him $50 just to get it. (It wasnt illegal I just needed it and I dont buy things online). The other, I told him that money wasnt an issue, I would pay whatever it took and never heard a word back.P.s. responding to owner- I dont deny being talked to but being helped is another matter. Also I never do fake reviews, only review people that make strong impressions.

I have been to The Firing Pin on many occasions, and their service and selection (something like 80 guns in the store) is not matched by any other stores in the area. Their store is always kept clean, organized, and looking very professional. They either stock, or are able to get most high end scopes, suppressors, ARs, AKs, bolt rifles, and even watches. I will be a repeat customer for a very long time.
