I purchased a Koala Sewing cabinet from Mary at Calico Station. I received a wonderful price, great customer service and lots of advice about what would work best for my sewing room. The cabinet is custom made for me and it took about 5 weeks to arrive. Two gentlemen brought it into my home and completely assembled it. They even took all the trash out with them. I am planning on purchasing another cabinet for my embroidery machine in the near future. I can now sew for hours without any neck and back pain due to the lower cabinet height that I chose for ME. Thanks to Calico Station Quilt Shop and Mary!!

Great place for sewing and quilting lessons

Ive been quilting/embroidery for about 10 years now and have never met anyone that isnt friendly, helpful and willing to assist. Its just a happy hobby. That is until I contacted Calico Cotton Quilt shop. I signed up for a class and when the instructions were sent to me, it appeared my machine hoop may not be large enough. I called the shop and per my phone records, I spoke to them 9 (NINE) times to ensure my machine would work. I was traveling 9 hours to the class, incurring gas, lodging, etc expenses (two times, one for prep class and one for class) and didnt want it to be all for naught. I arrived on Saturday for my class on Sunday, excited to say the least. (oh, and did I mention my two sisters were joining me in this class and traveling, as well). Sunday was prep day and upon arrival we were informed that our machine hoops were to small and the class could not accommodate us! I was dumbfounded, aggravated, shocked confused, etc! How could this happen? Needless to say, Ive found not all quilt stores are the same. I would not recommend this shop in any way shape of form!!

I just found this gem of a store last week and I’ve already been back! I had the pleasure of meeting some very nice employees and the store owner; all of them were very kind and extremely helpful. I was excited to see that they carry Bernina and Brother machines as well as a large selection of fabric.

Highly disappointed, their website says they service ALL sewing machines... then when you contact them about more information they let you know that they service ALL machines EXCEPT Bernina. They were friendly but absolutely no help.

I needed help with the amount of fabric that I needed for a baby quilt. I didnt know how much Material I needed for the bias trim around the edge. I gave her the measurements of the quilt,and she said that I would need about 2 yards. I could not believe what I heard. Needless to say I left without my bias fabric.

Had a wonderful time this morning at Calico Station Moda Club. 12 quilters that inspire each other. We learned a lot about the history of nursing inJacksonville through a quilt artist who is part of our club. We had SHOW N TELL. We received 2 Moda charm packs and a mini charm pack.had a lot of laughs and fellowship. We always get a cute quilt pattern for charm packs.A perfect way to spend the first Saturday of every month.
