I got a logo covered up on my backpack for $15. I went here because I wanted a professional to do it, but the job honestly doesnt reflect that in my opinion. The patch is misaligned, which looks sloppy and makes me wish I would have just done it myself. I also had some tears on the side of the bag repaired, but after looking at the work, I dont think $60 for that was a good value. With an $86 total (including the logo cover-up and tax), I cant say Im satisfied with the work simply because of the quality.

I love the fact after getting 9 pairs of shoes repaired the tenth is free. Also, the quality work is good along with suggestions on shoe care. Got some beautiful blue shoes repaired. Now I can dance and sing my feet away.

Good afternoonMy name is Ana Gabriela.I went to the store located on Wells road in Orange Park on July 23 to repair a backpack’s zipper slide (green army zipper slide). I showed the old slide to the employee and he said me that he definitely could replace a new same color slide.I received a text message when the it was done.On July 27 I headed to the store to pick it up. When I got there the zipper slide was replaced, but it was black, completely different from the backpack’s color.I explained to the front desk attendant that it was not the agreed, then the attendant said he would have to talk to his boss.I agreed with that.Today his BOSS called me and was really rude to me after I said that I rather my money back since I paid $30 dollars for the backpack when I bought it and I was paying $26 to repair only a zipper slide which was not the one that I had asked for.The BOSS said me that it is what it is and that’s all. He hung up the phone.Im really disappointed and definitely I won’t back there anymore.In my opinion this is not the way the customers deserve to be treated.He was not respectful at all.

For medical reasons, I needed a lift installed in my Birkenstock sandals. I was hesitant to try someone new after my previous cobbler retired, especially because of the price of the sandals.Gus and Company did a FINE job adding the lift (see photos). The job is so neat and clean and the coloration and material matches so closely.Since then, Gus and Company have adjusted the heels on 4 other pairs of shoes and are currently repairing my leather slip-on shoes.I HIGHLY recommend Gus and Company for all your shoe-repair needs.

Amazing Quality! Great Workmanship! Satisfaction Guaranteed! Class Act!I have (2) pairs of Gucci loafers. Same models and no longer in production. The quality of the leather on these shoes is top quality but the soles had holes and were severely worn down. Not long ago Gus and Co replaced my one pair of these loafers with “Vibram” rubber soles. Nice upgrade and quality soles that will last a LONG time, however the soles of the replacement shoes did not extend out like the old ones. The resoled shoes didn’t have the same original look. When I mentioned it to the cobbler..without any hesitation..he told me he would replace them exactly how I would like them to be at no charge what so ever. WOW. Now that is customer service with guaranteed satisfaction. When I picked up the loafers, they looked amazing and just like the original. They also shined the shoes.I loved what they did so much that I had them replace the soles of my other pair of Gucci soles as well and both shoes look new and amazing.Let them do miracles to your shoes! You will be impressed!

Never having been to a cobbler I wasnt sure what to expect for results. I brought 7 pairs with me ranging from tall leather boots that needed new soles, to pumps that needed that piece on the bottom of the heel, to white wedding shoes that were covered in dirt that I wanted cleaned up. I was absolutely blown away with how amazing all of the shoes looked. At first I wasnt sure if it would be worth the money to restore some of the shoes given they werent super expensive to begin with...but their prices were very reasonable and they went above and beyond repairing and cleaning up all of my shoes and boots. Would defintely recommend them to others and would return in the future.

Drove across town to have shoes repaired at this shop. The Johnston & Murphy Store at Town Center recommended them. In short, had heels replaced. Left heel came unglued within the first hour of wearing them.I cannot recommend this business!

My wife dropped off my motorcycle jacket there almost a week ago. The reason being, the zipper mechanism had totally disintegrated. We go to pick up the jacket today, and instead of finding the source of the problem, they simply put a new head on the zipper and charged us $25. The woman working there could not even get the new zipper head to zip up, due to the source of the problem, which was one of the teeth toward the bottom of the zipper. So she went in the back and talked with the man, then came back and said we have only a few options:1. They do nothing and I take the jacket as is.2. They take the $25 and then add it to the much higher cost to fix the issue they should have addressed initially. The charge for that would have been roughly $85.3. They refund me my money, and remove the piece they put on, making my jacket in even worse condition then when I brought it in.So to wrap it all up, this place will not thoroughly inspect your items and will go for the quick fix instead of addressing the main issue. I mean, heavy duty zippers dont just fall apart for no reason. It takes them almost a week to put just a new zipper head on, not replace a whole zipper. I would call them scam artists for luring you in with the cheap fix then telling you it costs way more to fix what is really the problem. Proper work includes diagnosing the reason something broke, not just replacing the broken piece, as it will fail again if the main cause isnt cured.

First of all I want to say how thankful I am that there are still people who dedicate themselves to such a useful craft and provide such a great service to the community. In our modern world too many people are inclined to simply dispose of broken things. Having said that I cannot express how happy I am with the work I had done. I had one sandal that I had purchased from a shoemaker in Sorrento Italy that needed repaired and I had a pair of boots that were too large in the calf. I now have a pair of boots that fit perfectly and look amazing and a sandal that I can once again wear. The service was most excellent and I highly recommend Gus and Company!!

I dont usually write reviews but this place truly deserves it. I had two missing zipper clasps on my luggage and fly out tomorrow (i travel alot). I looked and called many places to see if they repaired these kinds of things and by when would it be done. Most of the places i called did not repair such thing and the rest would not have it ready by tomorrow. This place was one of those places until I explained my situation to them and they told me they would have it repaired in a couple of hours and they did! It was really fast and well done. I truly appreciate their help because they did not have to have it done today at all (they said maybe by tomorrow or the weekend) but they were incredible and bumped me up. I live in Jax beach and drove all the way down to Orange Park and will continue doing so for future repairs! Thank you sooooo much!

I dropped a pair of brown Johnson and Murphy dress shoes off at Gus and Co. Shoe Repair to have worked performed. The work to be performed was as follows: New half sole, new heel, and new heel guards. I picked up the shoes the following week and brought them home. Upon putting them on and walking in them I discovered there was an issue. The shoes were making a strange whoosh of air sound with each step I took. This was coming from both shoes. So I contacted them and took them back for them to fix the issue. They took them and said they would make it right. I returned to pick them up and tested them right in the shop. They were still doing it. They took them back. I returned again. They were still doing it. They took them back. I returned a 3rd time and this was my fourth overall trip to Orange Park. They were still doing it. Also I live on the southside of Jacksonville and informed them that this was getting out of hand. The third trip I was done with it and told them I just want my money back and I will dispose of the shoes or they can even dispose of the shoes. The constant trips over to the store and the constant failure to fix my issue has gone on long enough. I simply want my money back that you have to prepay them for service and they can dispose of the shoes or I can. I will not be wearing them. Gus the owner of the company called me after I said this to his wife and told me my shoes were done and that he took them apart again. At which point I informed him that I already said I was done with driving around and making trips to get shoes. I told him I simply wanted my money back and I dont want the shoes. He told me that I am not getting my money back and that its not how this is going to be. There was zero foul language used in the conversation I had with him. On his side or mine. He then hung up on me and ended the conversation. Terrible customer interaction and service.

This company always aims to please Ive always been fully satisfied. Today I went to have my boots done and was able to wait for about 20 minutes while he repairs the heels on my boots and he shine them up and polish them they look like brand new boots thank you for all you do in our community.☺

I had to re-sole some old style disco boots for my Sandtrooper costume and these guys knocked it out of the park! not only did they do a great job, they put the exact type of sole I wanted on it and they are super comfortable. I have been suggesting these guys to my friends since.

They charged $48 to replace a zipper in my hubbys H/D boot and put the wrong color zipper. They did replace the zipper with the right one at no extra charge but it took me 2 weeks to get his boot fixed.

Always the very best service and quality repairs. They go out of their way to help in any way they can. I highly recommend them without reservation.

Had soles replaced on boots several months ago - wore one time and the sole came off. I went back to get refund due to poor work. They refused to give refund AND guy was totally nasty. Its obvious these ppl just want your money, not necessarily provide good service! I will never go there again!!!

Horrible. Shoes completely fell apart walking to the car. Going to have to have them completely redone not to mention it took two weeks to do it and they didnt even bother to call and let us know. They waited for us to come get them to say they werent ready. I paid for nothing.

Cant speak highly enough of Gus & Co and the skill and craftsmanship of the people who repair shoes there. They replaced the heels and soles on my favorite pair of Eccos, ruined after running several blocks in a thunderstorm. Thank you guys for the exceptional work.

TERRIBLE customer service. SCAM. Told me he could repair my sneakers, did a terrible job then told me he couldn’t do anything else, no refunds. Took the sneakers that he worked on to another repair store, they said he used the WRONG products and made the repair worse than just separation. STAY AWAY.

Took heels and slip on shoes there for patch work with sewing and cut/scuff repair. Worse job I’ve ever seen. Will never go back. I don’t recommend this place. I don’t want a refund but I see why they make you pay up front bc the work is total garbage.

I took a pair of designer fabric shoes in to be dyed. When I picked them up, the poor quality paint was coming off on my hands. The cobbler had not even taped off the insole or outsole so the paint was all over these areas, ruining the look/style and wearability of shoes. The cobbler refused to refund my money, insisting that the shoes were just fine. He became very rude, defensive, and insulant on the telephone. Upon taking the shoes to a real cobbler, I was told that they had used leather dye instead of fabric dye and were permanently ruined. You never want to do business with this place! You will get rooked! Beware!

Terrible customer service from the owner. Will never use this place again. There was no attempt to make amends for their error.
