If your car needs small peripheral repair (tire, CV joint, axles, breaks, and so on) this shop may be able to do it. But for heavy stuff like engine & transmission repair this place is not reliable at all. Their mechanic R. has a very shallow knowledge of engine repairs, but never admits his limited knowledge and gets offended and displays a rude behavior when you question his diagnosis. They gave me runaround for over a moth for the engine repair and more than 3 different diagnosis, the last one being total engine replacement which would exceeded the price of my car. In short they may charge a little less but their workmanship and professionalism are questionable.

I was compelled to fill in what Mr Scott Davis so conveniently omitted from his review. The tires he purchased were MT (Mud Tires) 35x12.50-20. These tires were balanced by a team of 2 employees at A1 Rodriguez. When he returned, weeks after purchasing the tires, he was told it would probably be best to balance elsewhere, as these tires are heavy and perhaps it would be best if balanced with heavier equipment specially designed for this type of tire. He also omitted to explain that he purchased 4 of these tires (MT35x12.50-20) mounted, balanced, including an alignment & tax, for a very low total price of $863.91. A price worth “going up the road” to balance the tires. These tires are usually anywhere from $200-300+ each. On Amazon the cheapest is 193.75 before tax and are unmounted, unbalanced nor is vehicle aligned. At Tire Rack, these tires lowest price is $299.65, and again unmounted, unbalanced, unaligned & tax not included. This is an exact account of what Mr Davis conveniently left from being said. He may “get the feeling that this is common” but undoubtedly, he has only been in the shop ONCE, purchased tires at an incredibly low price and never mentioned the positive of the savings received.

My boyfriend and I broke down on the highway while passing through the area, not only did A1 Rodriguez send someone to pick us up, they even kept the shop open a little longer to help us out.I have never had such a good experience at a mechanic shop before, everyone was incredibly helpful and explained everything very well.The prices were also incredibly fair.I highly suggest this auto shop to anyone, my only regret is that I wish they were located in my city so I could make them my go-to mechanics.

Bought 4 brand new tires here. Left and realized that something was amiss. Contacted them and was told I could come by and have them re balanced. A few days later when I showed up I was confronted with attitude and told I had to pay to have them balanced as they had already did it once. I leftTook it down the road and paid someone else to rebalance them. Come to find out there was not one weight on the tires at all! Hence they were never balanced to begin with.Maybe this was just a one off but I get the feeling that this is a common thing with them.I recommend paying a few dollars extra and going elsewhere.

I am beyond grateful to these folks! My car broke down on the highway as I was traveling home to Charlotte and a kind young man stopped to help. He suggested we take my car A1 Rodriguez, even gave me their contact info. I was in such a state that I literally gave them my keys and my car and left town. Not only did they repair the problem, they fixed a couple of other issues as well. Their price was far better than anything I would’ve gotten in Charlotte. Thanks Lette, you guys are fantastic!

As I move away from allowing my dealer to service my vehicle, A1 Rodriguez has been my go-to company and they take such good care of me and my baby. They’re kind, quick and, most importantly, affordably priced. With each visit, I save at least $300-$400 by doing business with them instead of the Honda Dealerships. They operate in integrity and never try to get over on me by upselling or overselling me on services that I don’t need. This last time, they even informed me that two of the services recommended by my dealership’s service department weren’t even needed — and that honestly alone saved me a couple hundred dollars. Leti, Carlos and their mechanics are great. I appreciate them so much and will continue to travel 2 hours from Charlotte, NC to allow them to device my vehicle. Thank you guys!

I am giving this folks 1 star because there is no provision for zero. I towed my car there and after their fake diagnostic, they gave me $1800 price for fixing my cars Timing Belt. They requested for $700 deposit which I gave them without hesitation. However, they turned around and told me it would take 3weeks to fix my car. I went to auto zone to price Timing Belt and the price was $49.99 but this thieves told me $400. Long story short, when I insisted I was not going to wait for 3 weeks, the owners wife called me and said We are not fixing your car, come and take your deposit . I had to get my AAA to tow it from their workshop to another place. The new mechanic fixed it in 2 days and charged me $420 which includes price for Timing $49.99 and the rest money for labor. Please if you dont want to be duped, then AVOID A1 RODRIGUEZ. They are rude, dishonest, uneducated, and thieves. BE WARNED!

If this isnt allowed please delete.WE WENT TO A1 Rodriguez yesterday afternoon on North road in Orangeburg. To get a tire changed on our 17 in rims. The owner and one of his helpers decided it was cool to beat it with a sledge hammer and hit the rim which bent it. Which we were unaware of at the time. He fixed it . by the time we madeit home it was flat. Called him around 5:30 he told is come back He would be open. When we go there areound 6:08 or so. He was in there but wouldnt open the door we Sat outside for 30 mins.with our sick child. The boss peeped out the window a few time would open door. We went home contacted him this morning once again to see if he could fix his mistake .HE WAS PISSED. CUSSING AT MY HUSBAND RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR 4 year old son. Which you cant understand anything he said anyway but besides the point. He did his best to argue my husband down about his mistake.. Finally after all the cussing and showing out UTS FINALLY DONE......MORAL OF THE STORY IS BAD BUSINESS WILL GET TOU SHUT DOWN. BE CAUTIOUS AND NEVER LET ANYONE PUSH YOU OVER. OH AND IF YOU CAN FIND A DIFFERNT BODY SHOP IT WOULD BE BEST
