I needed my alternator replaced on my VW Jetta, its a difficult place to access, but the guys did it in about 4 hours. They also cleared my dashboard messages as a result of no voltage being supplied to the car by my alternator. The service was outstanding, and they were very professional and courteous at all times. And finally, they double check all systems to make sure that everything worked properly before releasing the vehicle. I cant say enough about these guys! They are my Go-To guys when I need work done on my vehicles. I highly recommend Silver Star Worldwide Auto Repair!

While on vacation, my BMW started cutting off while driving. I was in a panic because I was without tools or scanner to research the problem myself. Always a pleasure to take our car there for service, in and out in a reasonable time. Guys are great and very thorough no matter what you brought your car in for. No high pressure, just recommendations for the future.

Silver Star has been my go-to for at least 5 vehicles. In the beginning, they caught simple things that other shops missed, so now they get all our business. In particular, I appreciate that they advise me what additional service is recommended, give me a budget for that, and dont pressure me to actually authorize future service until Im ready. I have found that the combined knowledge base of this shop is irreplaceable for our purposes.

After going to 2 other repair shops, they were the first to diagnose and fix my issue with my antique VW. They provided an excellent service for an honest, affordable cost. I will return as needed. They have a customer for life!

I own a 2012 C250 and the check engine light and ABS lights came on. Paul & Mark figured out what was wrong and actually came in under budget and beat every other estimate I received. Problem solved.

DONT RECOMMEND!! My car has been making a weird sound when it starts and went to Silver Star for the sole reason to fix it. Once we get there nobody called and let us know what was going on and once we did they said they needed it till the next day. They had my car for almost two day’s. When we went to pick it up we started my car and the noise was still loud and clear that something was wrong. Not only did they not fix what we came for they didn’t even do a check to see if my service engine light went off. Which it wasn’t off!! Terrible customer service, nobody knows how to speak properly to customers or how to fix mistakes their staff has made. If zero stars was an option this place would have it. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!

This shop is recommended by my current mechanic the Import Store. Though Lonnie is no longer the owner i did speak to this company on the phone. Pleasant and informative. My mechanic is out for knee surgery, will call them back this week to setup

Not very good with electrical issues, staff dont listen to their customers when they describe the problems their cars are having.

Real problems this time with my 2001 Mercedes 500 after a 1100 mile trip to Daytona. ABS Light, and brake light initiating at low speeds, no cruise, no parking warning, no low-speed power steering and three broken window regulators at one time, all on the drive. After a very fair price of $4,000, new used computer, new abs pump, three regulators and 16 spark plugs, my MB is new again. Thank you Silver Star great work at a great price.

I recently had a transmission problem with my 2001 Mercedes S 500. I heard about Silver Star from my sister who has used them before. She spoke highly of their work. I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. They found the problem right away. I was able to keep my scheduled 1000 mile trip. The transmission worked perfectly the entire trip and continues to do so. Silver Star is now my preferred service location for my cars.

Even though they could not fix the problem they showed me what the problem was and and recommended who would do an excellent repair.

Im very impressed by all aspects of the service provided by Silver Star. The prices are very reasonable and the Manager Scott Sickich, gives you his personal attention. Theres no pressure to make repairs that arent absolutely necessary. They have made repairs that the Mercedes dealer was not able to make. I had my car fixed at Silver Star World Wide Auto Repair while visiting Ormond Beach for my regular winter escape for a few months. I am very impressed with them and they were recommended by someone at church. The employees were honest and upfront with me about what was going on, explaining everything, and did what needed to be done at a reasonable price. The owner was very friendly and concerned about what was happening to my car.Then after I had the work done, I received a personal handwritten thank you, who even does that anymore? Silver Star does because they know how important their customers are. I will not hesitate to go back the next time I need something done.Being a woman, trusting someone fixing my car is very important because that is all about safety to me.

I brought my car in and told them all the lights in the instrument panel were lighting up intermittently. I got an oil change and was told they would check my breaks, tranny fluid etc.. a full inspection.I called at the end of the day and it turns out the mechanic only did the oil change. He said too many codes came up and tracking down the problem would be expensive and this older car wasnt worth the cost. I have no issue with that but he didnt tell me anything I didnt tell them when I brought it in.He never looked at the brakes or anything else other than changing the oil because he wasnt told to look.So besides the $35 oil change I was charged an additional $55 to tell me what I told them when I brought it in.As far as I know the guy hooked up the machine and got a bunch of codes and gave up on it right away without doing anything other than the oil change. All the codes he got were the same codes I had gotten from Advanced Auto Parts 2 days before.I was charged the $55 for nothing in my opinion and paid $90 for an oil change. This place had good reviews and I had hoped they were better than the average mechanic shop but I was hugely disappointed.Edit (after seeing owner response): Changing from 1 to 3 stars, appreciate the response and offer. I probably wont take you up on it but still appreciate it the same.

We bought a 4 year old Mercedes SL550 and took it to Silver Star for an annual service, alignment and battery check, install push button start, a replacement key fob, and to give us an estimate for repairing the analog clock and Parktronic System. We were told that they would have to order the push button start and key fob, which could take up to three days. We were kept informed and advised of the status of our car during the week. The best news was that the analog clock and Parktronic System had been left unplugged by a vendor from the previous owner. The final invoice was inline with the estimate that Paul gave us prior to the work being performed with the biggest expense being the key fob and push button start. Paul let us speak to James, the mechanic, so that he could explain the issue with the analog clock and Parktronic System (we were aware of the prior work performed for previous owner). We were impressed with everyone we met at Silver Star, including Scott the owner. Paul and James gave us confidence that they be trusted to perform the work needed on our cars in the future. We are relatively new to Ormond Beach and are very pleased to have found an auto repair shop for our needs.

I own a late model Mercedes E320 and have been looking for a reliable and honest auto repair shop. I went to another auto repair in Daytona and wasnt impressed with their service. I dont know why it took me so long to go to Silver Star because they are located very close to me. Also the local Mercedes Dealership is notorious for charging way to much for the services they provide and not all the repairs they do are top notch. So I booked an appointment with Silver Star. The staff was very warm on the phone and I booked an oil change to see what my treatment would be like. I was happy and surprised to see the business and parking lot are clean and maintained. The service I received was great and Im looking forward to having them take care of my car. I recommend them highly to anyone needing car repair.

Horrible customer service and questionable diagnostic. I walked in last Tuesday and was told by Paul that I would need to set an appointment and the earliest that could be done would be NEXT Tuesday. So today I returned and was told I should drop the car, go home and call back in a few hours. Not sure why I set an appt, waited a week and now have to wait hours for a simple diagnostic. So Paul proceeded to give me TMI on the business, including the fact they were down a few guys bc someone caught mono? BEST PART - This guy finishes looking at my car after 2 hours and tells me its the water pump (6hr job for $1,200 cant even be done for ANOTHER WEEK!) LOL why did TWO other shops tell me my problem was belt, pulley, ect. And it would be 400$ out the door, Done Today! Even if Silver Star is correct with diagnostic I would NEVER give them my money. Paul was also unpleasant on both encounters.

If you own a Mercedes and live in Volusia County, there is only one place I can recommend: Silver Star. The service is amazing, you don’t overpay and in many occasions they will tell you that you don’t need some expensive fix that the dealer recommended. They are honest and always willing to discuss any situation about your vehicle.

Recently I had my 2009 Land Rovers roof sun damage repaired by getting it repainted. After getting the car back, water would leak through the drivers side carpet every time it rained. The body shop had it 2 times for about 3 days each and could not figure out where the water was coming from. I decided to bring it to Silver Star because they have been doing an excellent job doing my Land Rovers maintenance. They found the issue in less than 10 minutes. Super professional - great to work with.

Have used Silver Star twice on my wifes 2002 CLK430 since moving to FL.Their work, advice and communication have been excellent.The repairs performed were 50% lower than quoted in NJ and 20-30% lower than in FL.Would I recommend to a friend, ABSOLUTELY!!

We have a 17 year old Mercedes; not easy to find parts for. What could have been a relatively easy window repair turned out to be messy. Rather than take the easy solution which would have resulted in another breakdown the staff found the OEM parts and kept us informed throughout the process

The guys here are a great bunch. We are from ATL area in GA and come for the beach. I had a problem with our GL550 so I scheduled an appointment let them know that I am on vacation and heading back to in a couple of days. They got me in made the repair and had me out in time for me to get the kids home for school and u know they loved that lol. They have very fair prices and would Ill use their services again if needed when we are in the area. I highly recommend them they are Curtis and professional.

I have been taking both my Mercedes & my Ford pick-up there for a couple of years now. They are very knowledgeable & call to explain what is going on with your vehicle before doing any work.Depending on where you live, they also will take you home & pick you up-this is crucial for me bcs I work from home & need to be near the computer.Whether they are more expensive-Im not sure; however I prefer to pay someone what they feel is a fair rate for good service than be tricked into work that doesnt need to be done, which has happened to me several times in the past at other places.I wished I had listened to the owner when he suggested Silver Star get my truck tires, instead I went to the place a few doors up-and when I got up north the tires had a slow leak bcs they did not fit the rim.....so I ended up taking it somewhere up there to get fixed-should have let Silver Star handle it....Im very satisfied with the service and will continue to take my vehicles there.

I just felt the need to give a big thank you to Scott and all of his employees at Silver Star. I took my wife and two young daughters on a road trip late last fall from Northern Minnesota to the Daytona area to visit family for two weeks. It was snowing when we left MN and by the time we hit Florida it was in the 90s and sure enough the air conditioning wasnt keeping up. Day two it was completely out and my family was not ready to deal with that kind of heat. My in-laws told me they had had good luck with Silver Star in the past so I gave them a call. They told me they could fit me in around noon that day. When I got there everyone was very friendly and they got my vehicle in right away. I was told that it would be a while to get it fixed so they offered me a loaner vehicle for the rest of the day. They called me a short time later to let me know it was a hole in my condenser so it needed to be replaced. I expected this to take a day or two, but to my surprise I got a call late that afternoon telling me the problem was fixed and I could come get my vehicle. When I showed up just before close my vehicle was sitting in the parking lot freshly washed. Scott came out, popped the hood and went through what they did. Besides fixing the air, my engine had been washed (first time in the five years I had owned it) and he told me that they checked out the rest of the vehicle as well. Everything else checked out in good working order except for the radiator cap which they also replaced for me. I made it through the rest of the trip with ice cold air and a happy family, atleast until we got home still in our Florida shorts/shirts and the outside temp was in the 30s. I brought my vehicle into the dealer the week we got home for an oil change, and for curiosity purposes asked what they would have charged me for the work that Silver Star did. The dealer would have charged me more than double what Silver Star was able to do it for. So, once again thank you... thank you... thank you!
