We completely remodeled and furnished a downtown apartment for the purpose of renting out as an Airbnb. We wanted to give some personal and unique touches of Oskaloosa decor. I immediately thought of Jenn Maxwell and knew her creative touch was needed. We specifically wanted a large piece of wall art referencing the downtown bandstand thats across the street from our building. Within 2 weeks, she had an amazing custom piece finished for our apartment. She also made us a custom shelve/coat hook for the entry and a custom made sign to put outside of our apartment. All of the pieces are absolutely perfect for our apartment! About a week after we opened up our apartment on Airbnb, I decided we needed a couple of chairs and table to fill the common space outside of the apartment. Jenn found the perfect set of chairs and then painted and refurbished a record player cabinet and turned it into a table. She has great vision and creativity to make one of a kind items that you cant find anywhere else! I couldnt be happier with the finished products! I recommend Jenn and Salvaged Designs to anyone looking for some custom made, unique decor, furniture, wall hangings, etc!

Many of the pieces in her shop will jump right out at you and youll want to take them home! Jennifer Maxwell brought her talent, passion and vision to Oskaloosa in her store SALVAGED DESIGNS. She can make anything beautiful and personal. I’ve found items for my home, my office, gifts for friends, custom closing gifts and just a great resource here in our community! Jen is a great community team player as well. Always lending a hand or her talented eye when she can. We are blessed to have this little gem in our shopping district!

This place has everything you can imagine. The shopping is the best! Jennifer has amazing customer service as well. Best part about it, they carry Dixie Belle Paint products!!!

Jennifer did an awesome job making my son’s Eagle Scout plaque that we gave him at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. She definitely has an eye for art and is pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend you stop in, look around, and say hi.

I had been trying to find a unique mirror for our new master bathroom. I wasn’t expecting to find something in Jen’s store, but she had exactly what I was looking for! Her inventory is so unique and constantly changing. Her repurposed and painted furniture pieces are beautiful and priced very reasonably.

I lost my aunt a couple of years ago to cancer. The last thing she ever gave me was the recipe to her spaghetti. It was one of the first things I made when I started getting into cooking, and always left defeated when I couldn’t it make it with the love and taste that she did. Jen over at Salvaged Designs found the best and most beautiful way to honor my aunt as she watches over me in the kitchen now. And while I’ll never be able to make her spaghetti I have this beautiful reminder of the love that will always exist.Jen went above and beyond to bring this piece to life. I just provided the recipe, and she did the rest, and even framed it so beautifully. I’m forever grateful. I trust this woman with my LIFE. She asked me exactly how I wanted it and I told her to run with it (a great choice.) She is creative, brilliant, and most importantly she always leads with her heart. An amazing business woman, creator, mother, and all of the above. Truly.If you want a way to honor your loved one — this is it. I love the sign that was a special order and Jennifer really nailed it. It was a quote that we have had over our door for the last 20 years and remodeling made it impossible to save. She made a framed sign that was perfect..

There is so much to see in this store and there are new things on display each time I go in. The owner has incredible talent to restore and refresh old items! Someday, when I have a need to restore something for my home, this is where I will take it.

I have a China cabinet that I was looking to have the glass antiqued, but one of the pieces of glass was broken. Jennifer stopped over, took both doors, went right to the glass shop to have the one replaced then read my mind and delivered exactly what I was thinking! It’s SO wonderful having this kind of business right here in Oskaloosa!
