I had a Hobie Oasis tandem kayak that I rigged up for fishing and liked it so much that I decided to upgrade to a true Hobie fishing 2019 Outback. Like many, I searched online for the best price and quickly realized that Hobie is a premium brand and doesnt discount prices, they also have a set shipping price for dealers. I learned about Quest at the Chicago boat show and reached out to Chris to discuss my purchase. He explained the benefits of buying from a local dealer, and I later learned from posts that some online purchasers yaks arrived with warped rudders, dented hulls, etc when received, and the owners had to install or fix themselves...mine was thoroughly inspected prior to purchase. Chris has been consulting on Hobies for many years and its obvious, hes extremely knowledgeable about Hobies; the accessories, installations, electronics, etc. Chris was also very responsive to my several questions (via phone, text and email) and offered up suggestions and completed the installation of many accessories that exceeded my expectations for my new decked out yak. I live almost 2 hours away from Ottawa, but it was WAY worth it to do business with the Chris and the owner Jeff at Quest Watersports. It also feels good to support a local business. Highly Recommended!!!

I’ve done a couple deals with Jeff at Quest. Their customer service is on point and Jeff’s commutation and believe me I’ve texted him a million times is better than 99% of any sales guy that I’ve ever met. Stand up sales and service department who have gone above and beyond to help me and my family to get back on the water and stay on the water. Highly recommend this team. This place is crazy. Electric boat died 15 minutes into trip. Spent half hour towing it back. Offered a 50 percent discount. The manager with the glasses treated us like total trash. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

I have used Quest for basic storage for winter. But a couple weeks ago I had a big problem with my boat. The Quest team come out to my boat slip and looked at my boat. They gave me detailed information on what the problem was. When the moved my boat back to there shop, they inspected everything on it. Found out both motors were bad and a part on my out drive. Needless to say I wasnt happy but not at them. They started working on the boat right away as the motors and parts being shipped in. With a little over a week my boat is back in the water ready to go. The one thing that I really like about what Quest did was they kept me informed with pictures and telling me what status. Parts guy seems like an jerk, but hes honest and gives you a no BS assessment, cost, and will explain if its a job a regular mechanic can handle. 5 stars for him.
