Had a great experience at Vaughn Motors. Had just what I was looking for as the Dodge Ram 3500 dully with air ride is an extremely hard truck to find and I was just passing by and seen the truck on the lot. Cameo was great to work with. Steve Creamer, our salesman, was very honest and helpful. Everybody we met was courteous and ready to help. When I took it back to have some accessories put on the vehicle the process was seamless. When I dropped the care off they quickly took me to where I needed to be while they were doing the work. Steve was very helpful in showing me how to set things up in the car. The manager approached us to thank us for our business.

They dont care about you. They will over charge you. There mechanics such. Dont know what they are doing. Dont buy from them. Four months after I bought a vehicle the motor blew. Had warranty. For motor. But they dont cover spark plugs. So had to pay 662.00. Out of my pocket. Read your warranty. Read it. But I wouldnt buy from them for nothing. Was suppose to get oil change free for first one. No I had to pay for that. Had a truck looked at . Headlight kept going out. Took back three times. They charged it time. And still didnt fix it. Husband found out was a loose wire. Dont buy from them

Drove 4 hours to look at 2 vehicles. Both were dirty. Test drove one and was ready to buy. The skid plate was laying in the bed of the truck. I requested that they put the skid plate back on the truck and detail it for me. I was told to take it or leave it. They refused to even wash the truck. And oh yeah...they refused to negotiate even a little bit. You pay the advertised price or you dont buy. Worst experience Ive ever had with a dealership.

First the gentleman i worked directly with Dean was fantastic. He walked me through my trade-in and then negotiated for me. He told me about discounts i was unaware of. Then Teri worked with me to get the right financing. Everyone was great.Now the really incredible part is I live 4 hour away in Illinois. Before i came, my price was set for my Trade-in, my financing was approved ( actually got better when i got there), a contracted price out the door was in place.When I arrived everything was explained and demonstrated on the new truck, no surprises, a great extended warranty was offered at a great discount. I have bought trucks for 35 years, this was the easiest process ever. I bought my truck for $2,500 less then my local dealer was offering. Thanks to Everyone but especially to Dean.

I was disappointed in the service and the effort to see if there was any service allowances on a problem that was covered by a factory recall. The fact that a recall was only vin specific still indicates a known problem. Warranty expiration allows the dealer to charge at will. A vehicle service package evidently did not apply either, to help offset labor. Really disappointed overall after purchasing three vehicles and having all our service work done there.

We have been a Cadillac family for decades and currently have two Caddy’s in our garage not including the new one we just purchased. It appears that Vaughn Automotive Cadillac in Iowa has a significant amount of incompetent or lazy staff, with E-mails not returned by various staff, telephone calls not returned and an arrogant and lazy finance person. The only bright spot was a salesman, Jacob, who did a good job representing the dealership. We purchased and immediately wired 65K for a new Cadillac XT6 to Vaughn Automotive in Iowa and they held our monies hostage literally due to their incompetence for days. Vaughn staff sent paperwork to us, the customer, for a salvage title in the wrong State for a brand new Cadillac. Sweet! Financial data was wrong and their staffer was not interested in determining why when we informed them. He literally refused to figure out what was wrong. Customer finally took a portion of the money back and did title, tags, registration and paid taxes ourselves in our State. Dealer then inappropriately called our auto carrier in New York without our knowledge and canceled the pick up because they did not have their paperwork in order - even though they were fully paid and we had a new title in our State which was shocking. We paid the auto carrier and they placed us in default of our contact with the carrier. In the end, our financial numbers were correct and the dealership wrong as we informed them. As customers hundreds of miles away, we dealt by E-mail and documented all of the above, which is not all of the problems we had with Vaughn Automotive. We plan to contact Cadillac corporate. Vaughn has other on-line ratings similar to what we are submitting - and you had better believe it is was a disappointing and arrogant experience. We wish we had never heard of Vaughn Automotive in Iowa.

Our new GMC broke down for the second time with 10,000 miles on it. I am having to hound them to get a car to drive until it is fixed. This should be covered on warranty. It seems to be a real inconvenience to get one from them and to have this happen. It has been 4 days now.

My wife and I purchased a car from Vaughn Automotive back in January, we went in with a pre approval offer with a decent rate. We told the salesman this and made it clear that we wanted to go with that offer. Long story short, when we went to sign the paper the finance lady said she ran our credit through the system and GM Financial was the lowest. Our mistake for trusting her, it was almost double what our pre approval offer was. When we requested that we use the offer with the bank we brought in, she said well the sales contract is already done. They did the same thing to my parents. Never buying from Vaughn Automotive again! Luckily we were able to refinance at the rate we should have gotten in the first place!

Bought a truck here which is fine but Trevor was a terrible salesman and wouldn’t respond to any messages and after we took the truck home we had paid for services to be completed and he promised a call back on a certain date. 4 days later I’m still trying to get a hold of him. He has dodged all calls and texts. Do not use him as a sales guy. Run!

Took my truck for the oil change and tire rotation that was included with the purchase. I have a Sierra 3500 Denali drw truck. They rotated the tires by taking front wheel and turning it around backwards and moving it to the rear. Then took rear wheel turned it around backwards and put it on the front of the truck. I took it back the next day to ask if that was normal and was told no that was not right. They took it to correct it and when they told me that my truck was ready I went out to see they still had front wheels on rear inside out and rears on the front inside out. When I told Mandy that it still wasn’t right she proceeded to tell me I was wrong and the wheels were on the truck properly. She told me that they couldn’t do what I said they had done and told me she would have them take it in so they could show me that they wouldn’t even go on the truck like that. I asked her to print out the parts diagram of the three different wheels. As the mechanic was telling me that I was wrong and the wheels were on correct Mandy handed him the parts diagram that finally convinced them that I was right. Then they proceeded to get the front wheels back on the front and the rear wheels back on the rear. I noticed scratches on the outside of 1 rear wheel. They had to research camera footage which they never would admit fault however did agree to replace the wheel.So I feel that if they can not rotate tires properly what will happen to my truck if they ever had to work on something a little more serious than a tire rotation.So to sum this up, no I would not go back there or recommend their service shop to anyone.

Multiple text messages and emails were sent the day of the 3 hour drive to view the vehicle. 20 minutes from the dealership and 2+ hours into the drive we get a call that the vehicle had just sold. Bought an suv from Vaughns, a month later the water pump went out, no offer of help or anything from them. Fixed it ourselves, but another month passed and more issues. Traded it in for a newer suv about a year later and not even 5 full months the Transmission is going out. Went back to Vaughns, and asked them what itd cost to look at it, they told us we wouldnt be charged unless we okay the work. Went back to pick it up, they told us it was the Transmission (which we knew already) and tried to charge us after telling us itd be free. Estimate was 3000 more then anywhere else we went. Horrible service.

And instead of making the issue right they blame the customer.....Took the vehicle to a smaller local mechanic, saved me $3400! First I want to start out by saying that this was by far the most pleasant car shopping experience I HAVE EVER HAD! I cannot sing enough praise about the young car salesman Jacob at Vaughn automotive & the rest of their team. Jacob was so great that I avoided buying the same car 30 minutes away & decided to drive 4 hours to buy this car at Vaughn Auto. He is seriously an awesome young salesman.He is genuine & just a good honest down to earth guy who went above & beyond to help me on the phone before I was even committed to buying a car.It’s a long story but it started with an unpleasant experience with a finance person at a different dealership before talking to Jacob. They tried to sneak charges into the contract & were very persistent.This is a big reason why I do not enjoy car shopping. Vaughn Auto. was the complete opposite experience. They gave me a great value on my trade in, the price of the car was the best that I could find in the country & they had zero pressure when I arrived and zero pressure when financing through them.I would not hesitate to buy a car from them again.I will most definitely be calling Jacob again when I’m ready for another amazing deal on a car.

If I could give Vaughn’s negative stars I would. Service girls are rude and act like they know what they are talking about when they don’t. You show them proof and they blame you. No communication between Vaughns and customer. Had to have truck there by 8am on Monday to be completed by Thursday. Never heard anything called Vaughns Thursday pm and was notified did not have the parts to repair until next Monday. Was avoided by employee on phone. Very poor way to run a business. Went to have oil change at2:30 today, waited in the lounge until almost 4:00. No one came to let me know my car was done. Finally my phone dinged. Then it tells me I need 2 different air filters one of which was supposed to have been changed the last oil change.Also they said I needed new tires. I do not like their new computerized system, I went there because of the personal service, now may have to find somewhere else to do business.The young man, Monico was very nice to talk to and I know it is not his fault, he is just doing his job but Vaughns better get back to being more personable with their customers or they maybe losing a lot more than oil changes.Nancy Heiserman

The problem is we live 40 miles away and its a pain not being able to schedule an oil change on a car that we bought at your dealership. I have drove the 40 miles and had to wait 2.5 hours even drove right on by once when there were 5-6 cars in line when we got there.

I had a certified pre owned vehicle that I have had serviced at Vaughns and it was severely out of alignment. Nobody ever said anything about it being out of alignment or my tires wearing before now. I believe this should have been taken care of before I bought the vehicle or at least noticed when I came in for service.

I contacted them about a 2020 Tahoe on their website at approximately 3pm. Taylor responded at 3:30 with This is Taylor with Vaughn Automotive. I see you have inquired about the 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe! This vehicle is currently available., I thought this was about to be a great experience but I was wrong.She was slow to respond and kept skirting the questions I asked, but we eventually got to a place where I just called and asked for a buyers order so I could get a cashiers check from my bank. She let me know that she would have to have a salesperson contact me, wait....what?? Why have you been wasting my time if you cant help me? I eventually got a call from the salesperson at around 4:50 who asked me some basic questions to put the buyers order together all the while Im rushing to get to the bank to get a cashiers check before my bank closes at 5. I explain to her that I am grabbing a check for the $48,000 and I live 2.5 hours away and they close at 7, Could they have someone wait 30 minutes until I arrive.As I am having the check cut for their asking price, she informs me that they can not wait for me to get there and they could hold the car for another day for me to come up there to pick it up. I tell them to go ahead and hold the car and I will call her back with a good day for me to pick it up. I no further get into my car from the bank parking lot she calls me back to let me know that the vehicle was SOLD 2 FREAKING DAYS AGO! Why in the hell did you idiots not figure this out before hand? Then to have the audacity to ask if there was another vehicle they may have available. This Dealership does not care about their customers or potential customers.I was a finance manager for a Dealership and if I had customers bringing a check and it was after closing guess what I did, thats right I waited for them to ensure that they got what they wanted and had a great buying experience. you know what else, we did not try to sell cars we did not have!If you have a chance to purchase from these people just save yourself the time and trouble and go to a reputable place because this is not that place!

Purchased a car from there 1 week ago. Issues with the push to start and key fob twice (one of which was before we even purchased the car so they were aware, they assured us it was just from not being driven in a while) after returning it less than a week from having it while the issue was occurring they questioned whether they’d even diagnose the issue for for free, and most likely would not fix it free. Even though I was told if it happened again bring it back and they’d fix it no issues. Agreed to diagnose it for free (wow, so generous) after looking at it they said their were no issues. (Really car fobs won’t work or be recognized by car twice in one week and there’s nothing wrong.) last car we purchase from here.

Purchased a certified used 2016 Corvette. Jordan Rook was our salesman and he was friendly and helpful. The buying process and pricing were good. So why the three stars?First, the car was advertised as a one owner vehicle. This was not true and Vaughn Chevrolet should have known because they sold it as a used car once already. They have taken it in and resold it twice in the past year.Secondly, and most importantly, their service department failed at changing the oil. Failed in that it was under serviced by 2.8 quarts. I only found out after driving 300 miles back to my home. The Corvette holds either 7 or 9.8 quarts based upon whether it has the dry sump oil system or not. This dry sump is part of the Z51 package which this car has. It is unacceptable that a Chevrolet dealer would make this mistake on an oil change. Verifying proper servicing should always be part of an oil change.For these reasons I cannot recommend Vaughn Chevrolet.
