Took my truck in because I was not getting over 5lbs of boost and loosing coolant they fixed the coolant problem but flash my computer and got the check engine light off when the problem was my egr had to go to another dealership just to get it fixed right will not go back to them

I bought my Jeep Renegade in late summer 2020, preowned. The staff has been courteous and helpful, however, I have had this Jeep in three times already, including today, for service work. Thankfully, I bought the bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage, but Im starting to think I bought a lemon. I have mentioned the click in the front of the car each time, and it has yet to be addressed. Hopefully it will be today since the engine malfunction light is on. I appreciate the shuttle service they have to take me home each time, they are Covid responsible, and staff has been great keeping me informed. SERVICE is important to me, since I was unhappy with my last cars service/the dealer, and Vaughns has stepped up. Hopefully todays service will take care of this ongoing issue.

Started off pretty well, Salesman was very polite and friendly. Given it was the last day of the month so he was extremely busy with other customers as well as us so he will get a pass on that from me. The finance process was painless but did take awhile to get into there again I say its the last day of the month so again they get a pass from me. But my main concern was the salesman left to get his girlfriend during the sale very unprofessional in my opinion, Had to install my own plates on the new vehicle while other employees seen me struggling not having a tool or drill gun only a quarter to do this. Do not recommend going to any dealership on the last day of the month if you dont plan on spending 4 hrs of your day there.
Buying my Jeep Renegade was not only easy but the staff helped to make us feel at home and included throughout the entire process. Their internet “no haggle” pricing took a lot of the stress away and after visiting with other dealers, we were able to see right away that this was the place we wanted to buy from. Communication was friendly and convenient for me. We were able to set up the appointment, test drive and make our purchase all within the day we chose. Tried to sell me a salvaged car. Im glad I used their car report before buying. Everyone knows that a salvage car is worth about half or less than a non salvaged vehicle. It was lower but not what it should be for salvage. I will give them 2 stars for at least having free car reports. Just wish they hadnt wasted my time by not telling us beforehand. Their service dept is great. Have used them in the past.

Bought a new 2015 Jeep Patriot Sport and after only 5 months the brakes started to make noise so we took it in and they cleaned rust from the drum and said thats what the noise was from. Well guess again because it started again about 2 days later, waited a while and took it back to Vaugh and had a tech drive it with me in the vehicle and he heard the noise for himself. Went back in and he contacted another tech that told him it was just the way those brake shoes are. They are trying to tell me quote (its a normal noise for the semi- metallic shoes used for this vehicle). Not happy at all that Im paying over 20,000 dollars for a vehicle that makes a brake noise. The service advisor tells us she cant do anything because her hands are tied. What the hell! I also know 2 people who had bodywork done on their vehicles and not done right the first time. I should of known then but thought Id give them a benefit of a doubt but boy was I wrong. They dont stand behind their product thats for sure. Still have issues pending with the Patriot. Buyer be warn.

Would never recommend anyone buy from here. Fair credit and decent trade in and tried to screw me. Would not disclose any of my personal information they got from credit report to me. Said it was illegal. Never go back.

The dealership listed a 2014 Honda Odyssey Elite for $23, 000 on their Website. I drove 3 hours to purchase it just to find out the previous owner had epoxied a suction cup to the dashboard and then it was removed taking part of the dashboard with it. And no they did not show it in the pictures on the internet, neither did the salesperson tell me before I made the 3 hour drive. I was informed of the defect as we were walking to the car.
Mike was fantastic, when he got sent home everything went to hell, the other guy did not do or show me anything about my new Dodge Journey, glad my son knew some things about it

Wish i could rate them worse but it wont let me,told them I would buy a car if they would take 12500 cause they were asking 13000, and I would bring them a check that night, but no they are a no haggle dealership... ok but one week later its still sitting on their lot for sale for 12500, um yep definitely lost my business forever!! thats ok I went and bought a better car elsewhere and they actually worked with me, so they will be getting my money from now on!
This dealership is either terribly organized or not trustworthy. They posted a vehicle on AutoTrader for sale. When I called about it they said it was not priced yet and I would have to wait. They promised me a call back, I waited 3 days. Finally, they called to tell me the vehicle was sold. They have proven to me that they are unorganized and dont keep their word.
They know as much as the computer tells them. They have expensive parts, can get parts that are just as good yet half the price other places.
The service team here was very unprofessional. We took our brand new truck to get some typical maintenance done and they let us sit in the dealership for 6 hours. Yes ladies and gentleman 6. They told us initially that it would take 2.5 hours to do all the maintenance. After 3 hours we finally started asking and they kept saying an hour at the most. After 6 hours and being in the dealership from 9:30 am till 4pm they finally were finished. When we left and started looking at the vehicle it looks like they didnt even do everything we asked for... We bought the vehicle there BUT will avoid having it serviced there again. My families time is worth more and not even an apology afterwards for ruining our day. I expected better.

We are very impressed with the sales and service department at Vaughn Motors. They employ a great team of friendly, professional and courteous individuals from the service writers to the technicians. We feel they went put forth the extra effort to diagnose and correct an issue with our 2016 Silverado. We have a few dealerships that are closer to home but feel the extra drive to Ottumwa is well worth it based on our past experiences. We feel they have some of the best diesel techs on both the GM and also the Ram side. We will definitely recommend this dealership to our family and friends. Service appointment was for 10:30. Dropped vehicle off at 8AM. Called at 2:30PM to check status of repair and was told my vehicle had not even been looked at yet. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. When it was ready THE NEXT DAY an attempt was made to overcharge me by $100.00, which I refused to pay and a litany of unacceptable excuses were offered as to why my vehicle wasnt seen until 6 hours after my appointment time. A TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO DISAPPOINTING COMPLETION.

Horrible customer service in all departments. Parts and Service departments need to work on their communication skills and the department need to work on customer service, even if someone is not purchasing a new vehical, they are still there for a reason.
I found a vehicle I liked on auto trader around 5pm . I called them about it. They closed in a half hour and they told me they couldnt get ahold of any sales guys. I called then next am ready to drive several hours up there. They told me all the salesmen were in a meeting. I called back and I told the sales guy I wanted a ideal on my trade before I drove up. He told me to just do it on there website. Several hours later I got a call back. I offered a difference in price to see if we were in ballpark. It took about a hour each time for a text message back. Normally the message said someone is looking at it you better come up. I told them to get serious about the deal and quit putting me on the backburner. After 3pm and no progress I called another dealer i sent them pictures of my trade and by 5pm we had a deal made before Vaughn responded with anything serious. I would think they would take customers purchasing 55,000 doller trucks more serious. I emailed the gm to provide feedback and all he did was forward my email to the salesman and the salesman contacted me wanting to argue. How unprofessional.

Dont buy any used vehicles from here . Automotive department cant even put a belt on right and my gas tank takes forever to fill no wonder they filled it for me before I left. Also they dont put the right parts on it my tailight isnt the same on both sides finding this out from the light burning out.

I flew from Lakeland, FL last Wednesday to purchase a 2007 Corvette Convertible with 2,806 miles on the odometer. Cory and Teri were extremely helpful in making this transaction go smoothly. Whenever your purchase is far more that you expect you cant help but be very happy. There were several surprises. The car had a $2,000.00 Borla exhaust system already installed. It had a power top, GPS,heads up display and an XM radio. All unexpected. 19 hours later when I returned to Florida my wife couldnt believe it. I will always say great things about Vaughn Automotive. Found a Juke SL on Car Gurus. Contacted Brittany about the car yesterday at about 6 pm. Set up an appointmet for today at 4 pm. Took a day off from work and got my wife to surgery and back before the trip to Ottumwa (about 1 1/2 hours). Just got home at two pm and was about to leave when I recieved a text that the car was sold last night?... No one called me to notify me that it was sold. I had to call back to confirm that it was sold. The text specifically stated That Juke was sold last night in sorry... I am very disappointed by the treatment and notification; spelling was even wrong. I would have been really upset if they had called me any later, because I would have been on the road with my son to get the car. At the end of the conversation Brittany asked if there were any other cars I may have been interested in, told her flatly no. I hope they figure out their customer service. This is a basic common sense issue, but it seems this is lacking in many sales jobs these days. Possible buyer beware....
I was looking to upgrade my truck to a newer model. I had a 2011 Silverado in my sights. It was a nice looking truck and newer than my 2007 Silverado. I test drove it and went back to Vaughns the next day to talk price. The salesman Curtis took my truck for a drive so we could determine trade in value. I was hoping to get around $12,000 for my truck. The Sales Manager Marcus Bennett then took it for a drive. Marcus brought me a breakdown of what the purchase agreement would look like and how it broke down financially. He then asked if I had ever considered leasing a vehicle. He showed me what the cost of a new 2016 Silverado LTZ would be and it was the same payment per month as the 2011. I also was pleased to see that he was giving me $14,000 trade in for my truck regardless of which truck I decided to take home. Needless to say, I love my new 2016 Chevy Silverado LTZ and was very pleased with my buying experience!
