Had a bad experience. Wanted my brakes fixed, now I have no brakes and they wont fix the problem. Saying they arent at fault. Will never go back here or recommend anyone going here.

STAY WAY. Fast horrible service. Alignment done wrong, caused all 4 tires to premature wear on the same inner corner.Firestone wont stand by their faulty labor and cover the replacement of tires. I had to replace all 4 premium Bridgestone tires at 50% life.

Everything work went great the staff was attentive and helpful. The price was reasonable.

Average price, slightly better customer service, knowledgeable staff, comfortable wait. They even politely woke me up with a tissue to wipe the drool off my face when my car was ready.

This is my second time in this Firestone. And again the best people to service your car. Last time I was here they had a great attitude, great service, friendly employees. And this second time its even better than last time. I recommend this Firestone to anyone who appreciates good quality service. I do recommend this Firestone for all your needs on your car. Wife went here to have a tire repaired small finishing nail inch and a 1/2 from edge of tread. They told her they could not repair the tire and she must buy a new one. The tire is fully repairable and in good shape. They conned her into more sales. They clam there policy is they can not repair that tire. Do not recommend this shop

Very happy with the short notice alignment we received today. Recently replaced bearings, lower control arms, and both inner and outer tie rods. They helped with boots and retorqued spindle nuts for us when it was an obvious issue. Aligned quickly and accurately. Very good customer service experience. Thanks again to Brandon and the crew for a good experience.

They misaligned my tires and did severe damage to them. This also isnt the first time that they didnt actually check fluids like they say they do. I was almost completely out of antifreeze and they claimed I must have had a leak. I had it checked by 2 other places and my system is fine. This is the second car that this has happened with. I will NEVER bring a car here again. Rude service, Risk of Tire and Engine damage!

Read more for details on review.Trusted the name Firestone and reviews on Google here. Scheduled a check for sound of possible strut going bad. No Nissan dealership in Ottumwa, Iowa. Got car in and was called later in day that my car engine was knocking, the engine was going bad, don’t drive out of town as it will blow up soon, has sludge in it. This car has had every oil change on time with 1000 miles and about one month left on current oil. My experience upon arriving back at the location. As soon as I walk in the door service advisor that talks with customers said it’s knocking and engine is going bad. He was very adamant about it. Knowing I take care of the car I immediately told them to bring the keys out. They bring out a blue towel as they are going to show the oil condition. I had to tell them go get a white towel. I asked how they diagnosed the issue. Said the oil has a red tint and was knocking. I go outside start the car and now no one says the engine is knocking and the only noise is the valves I hear very faintly which is normal. Oil actually was surprisingly very clean to me as it has a lot of highway miles this oil change. They kept saying look at that black. Referring to where the towel touch and picked up dirt outside the tube that is exposed inside the engine compartment. I asked if they removed the oil fill cap to look at the condition of oil above the engine. I removed the cap and found no build up on the inside of the cap. A wipe with the towel yielded normal oil. They did not even do that basic step. I could tell as dust was on the cap and not disturbed by fingers to loosen the fill cap. They made a diagnoses that clearly was wrong and further removal of covers would be required to actually see a sludge build up. They could have scared someone that did not know better into thinking their car was dying. Unfortunately this location lacks the skills needed to properly make recommendations. There are further steps needed to properly diagnose a sludge issue. I do not recommend this location for services.Updated: Verified with Nissan dealership at next oil change no issue with oil. Inaccurate diagnostic performed. They also saved a sample of the oil for me to inspect to see no problems.

We had a flat tire on our RV while we were traveling through the area. Ottumwa Firestone provided excellent service and had the tires we needed in stock. The staff was very competent, friendly, and knowledgeable. They had us back on the road in no time flat! (pun intended) Thank you all!

Very helpful. Had nail in tire and they had it out and tire repaired in 11 minutes. 4:45pm and most repair places were closed or closing and they got it fixed.

Got oil changed other day normal charged me 30. Went back today same engine less mileage the charged me 60 did a synthetic without asking me.

If I could give them zero star, I would. They are very untrustworthy. I took my car there and asked them to check my alignment. they lied to me about changing the shocks only for me to find out later ( from someone there)that nothing was done to my car.and my that it wasnt my alignment but something else that was wrong.they didnt tell me but simply collected money from me and pretended to have changed my shocks. So they took advantage of the fact that I dont know much about cars.Not to be trusted

I had a friend who needed help. She ended up needing a tire and i was informed by her quickly about it. I had called rick at this location to discuss it and help out as she was a little short for the repair. As an asst manager of another auto shop in west des moines i saw how caring and upfront rick was about helping his customers that walk the his doors. Cant say enough about how wonderful Brandon, and everyone at Firestone, treated us when we broke down while on a road trip and were stranded, hoping someone could get us in to repair our car. When others turned us down saying they were too busy, Brandon at Firestone was willing to fit us into their busy schedule right away. He was so helpful, kind and understanding, going above and beyond. They got us back on the road home as soon as possible. The kind treatment we received both at Firestone, and the AmericInn hotel next door, that Brandon recommended, made our unexpected stay in Ottumwa so great! Thank you!!

Overpriced as far as Im concerned. Happy to sell a tire rather than fix one. When they did sell the tire, the tire was much higher than the options elsewhere... my kid was in from out of town, and was stuck... I was not impressed and wont be back.

They do a great job plus very accomodating! Always have a helping hand.
