I went in with my mother with intention of buy several new leotards for myself. I left the store without buying anything because the customer service was nonexistent, and my mother and I were the only customers in the store! The sales girl, when we first came seemed nice. She pointed me towards the racks with leotards in my size, then showed my mother where the lambs wool was. And that was the last we saw her, as she disappeared somewhere in the back of the store without saying another word to either of us. I spent at least 15 minutes going through the racks trying to find something. Eventually, I gave up because it was clear the sales girl didnt care about my buisness. We left and went to another store next door. On our way back to our car we passed the store again, and the same sales girl was smiling and gladly ringing up a customer. I dont know why I was treated so poorly, like I was not worthy to be in the store or assisted. However, I will not be back. And I cannot recommend this store to anyone.

I have shopped and purchased many dance shoes and dance wear at this store over the years but never again!! I had the worst customer service experience at the store today. We went in to purchase 2 pairs of shoes and a leo. We started with tap shoes. They didn’t have my daughters size in the correct color so they said the would have to special order but couldn’t tell me when they would be in and the price was quite a bit more expensive than ordering online. When I said that we might order those online to get them in time for class, they refused to help us anymore. When we asked to try on pointe shoe, the clerk refused and went and hid in the back room. So would even sell us anything. Went to the Dance Shoppe which had both shoes in stock and a great choice of leos. Will not be going back to Degage.

Went to Degage to buy two pairs of tap shoes for my sons (who are both beginners). The shoes the store matron presented were $88 each. My younger son was presented with ONE choice, tried them on, and they were quickly boxed without my checking the fit. When I turned the shoes over at the register to look at the sole, I saw that someone had used a tool to carve the size off. (Apparently they have an issue with people getting sized there, then buying online - where shoes are presumably less expensive.) I was appalled that they would carve up an expensive pair of shoes, then try to pass them off as new!! We did not buy them and will be going elsewhere for future dance purchases.

I started dancing again after 17 years. I needed all new everything. I went first thing in the morning and received great customer service. I purchased a leotard, tights, shoes and a skirt. I compared these items to internet pricing and was pleasantly surprised to find that not only were the prices comparable but in certain aspects they were even cheaper! This was my go-to dance store when I started on pointe over 25 years ago and it remains my home town dance store, hopefully, for many more years to come!

We were just starting pointe and had no idea where to start. Luckily the owner got us squared away. It took 30+ minutes to find the perfect pointe show. Who knew there were so many options. She never hustled us along and did a great job of explaining as we went through the process. Thanks to her we have the perfect fit!

Horrible customer service. Ordered a pair of pointe shoes since they didnt have my size in stock. They misplaced the order and it never got ordered. 1 week before my performance after calling several times they finally figured out what had happened and ordered a rush shipment of shoes in the wrong shank strength without communicating that the medium shank was the only one available for a rush order. I will NEVER purchase from this store again after the horrible hassle this has been. I spent almost a $100 that is wasted because these shoes will barely last me through a weekend of performances.

Limited selection of leos- almost exclusively solid colors. Fitting process is lacking. Waits are inevitable. Parking is a pain.

I shopped at this store for years while my daughter took dance and was impressed with the selection of dancewear and shoes. Then - this year, I started taking dance. I ordered a pair of low heel leather shoes tha came highly recommended called Coast. The wait was 6-8 weeks and the price was $89.95. But after waiting all that time and only wearing the shoes twice, they began to sweak. I also had a teacher suggest that I have suede or leather applied to the back heel which was plastic. When I took them to the shoe shop to update the heel, I mentioned the sweeking and sadly found that BOTH heels were loose and only applied with glue. So I ended up paying another $45 to have the heels completely replaced with leather. Sad to report that the more expensive shoe that had to be ordered out was of such poor quality. Beware before you buy them.

Had to stop by for tap shoes, transition tights and foot undeez for my little dancer today on my lunch break. Parking lot was SUPER packed, had to park a block away. I guess theres a really popular lunch spot nearby. I was immediately greeted when I stepped inside. Told Rachel what I needed and in what size, she grabbed it quickly educated me on the styles and sizes available for the shoe I needed and assured me I can return and switch but that it would be better to bring my dancer in to try on. Nevertheless, she got me out the door in under 10 minutes! What a rock star! I will definitely go back when I have more time and can actually shop the plethora of dancewear i breezed past on this go round! LOL! Anywhoo, thanks Degage! Got just what I needed and back to the J-O-B on time. SCORE!
